They charged me 15$ for cleaning while the trailer was clean but because the online return didn't give any other options while returning other than the trailer need cleaning - I took a Video when I returned it showing it was clean and sent an email telling them it's clean but they still charged me $15 Bad serviceAmar A.

Unfortunately a customer prior to us clearly smoked in the vehicle as it was rank. We did purchase air fresheners and armor all smoke cleaner to try and dampen the smell but it was horrific. The storage compartment also smelled like grass or compost. Again, this was likely due to previous customers but took away from the overall experience.Brent J.

Definitely needs more staff. Or at the very least when there is a line up of more than 2 customers, the staff that are there could stop stocking shelves and serve the customers. Also the inside of the back of the van was clean but the cab of the van was very dirty and windshield was dirty on the inside which made it hard to see in the sun.Brenda S.

Dropping off the man was great and friendly very nice. But the staff when I picked up my online reserved trailer was a poor experience. I felt the staff did not want to be working. The first cashier just left didn't say anything and a guy came to replace her and started my order all over again. Something happened he got up and left no communication came back and did my order all over again. I asked what the issue was and he said the system wasn't taking the information. I was there for about 45 minutes after he sent me to pick up my trailer outside too the side of the building I walked around to find it was at the back of the building to pick up my trailer parental and the lady there stood there staring at her phone for most of the time. She definitely did not want to be working with the public. Barely gave me eye contact the whole time I had to wait for her hook up my trailer. I don't know why you hire staff that don't want to work with the public and don't want to work. I am sharing my experience with other people about this U-Haul location.Kim R.

Your customer service was not that great as I was sent on a mission to find my 26 ft truck rental and then it was parked between to other trucks so I had no chance of getting it out. It was parked behind your storage lockable storage rooms. So then I had to go back to get another vehicle and it was parked near the front door and once again it was parked between other vehicles and I had to get a UHAUL employee to help me get the truck out. When everything was said and done, I was there about an extra 30 - 40mins. Needless to say, I was not too happy!!!!Domenic E.

The wifi would drop my photo uploads so the check-in process was much longer than it should have. The outside of the truck was filthy. It had clay mud stuck on the side and undercarriage and wheel wells of the truck. When I back it onto my driveway it shed some of the mud. Later that day it started raining and it left a sticky clay muddy mess on my driveway. The truck has a pull to the left while driving. The steering should be looked at. There is a chip in the window on the driver's side lower left-hand corner that should also be attended to.Lorne D.

This is the best Uhaul location I have been to. Stuff worked. Front desk staff (Denim) was actually friendly and has social skills. Getting in and out of the lot made sense. Everything was fine with the rental. For the first time ever. Usually it's a fight to get any cards to work with their interac/ credit card machines. It's not just me either. The issue this time was the return. The online return was easily accessible, but the embedded camera wouldn't work. I could use my phone to take a photo, but couldn't upload it. I had to use their non working camera to rerun the truck. I called their 1 800.. up to an hour wait. I dropped the keys in the key return, and left. According to their brochure, that was all that was necessary. Five days later I tried calling to find out why the deposit was still on my credit card, and the order wasn't finalized. This location left me on hold for an hour and a halfâ€¦. And never did pick up. So I had to drive back across town, and stand in line for twenty minutes, to have them close the rental, and return my money. I will NEVER use this location again. I have had nothing but issues with this location, each and every time I have rented from them. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN PERIL.Garnet M.

Make sure that a customer's reservation is actually made. The location on 50th Street was the second location we were sent to after the convenience store we were originally sent to was nothing but a bad experience. Had a reservation to pick up the truck, then the truck we were to pick up disappeared off of our reservation. After trying to get this fixed, the clerk got in their vehicle and drove away all while leaving their store unlocked. Thankfully the U-haul agent we were in the phone with found us a truck at a different location, got it all set up and saved our move. She was a super star.Christopher S.

Being that I rent regularly and is usually early morning this has become something of a hassle. I came in to check into my unit about 25 mins before closing. I was trying to get there earlier but this move has been very challenging. Robyn helped me and was amazing. She helped me make sure I had the right unit that worked for me and easily able to move in. She even directed me to McDonald's while I waited for my brother to show with the truck because I hadn't eaten all day. When I went to eat I saw a reflection of myself in a window and I was an aweful disheveled mess. Yet when I was checking into unit Robyn still treated me great. Latch on door was bent and very hard to open and close. Staff were aware but never fixed it. Only issue with staff was when I moved out I was driving a large truck and when I went in to close account I didn't realize I had parked in front of disabled parking. I made a reservation at the facility in 154th street, on arriving there, I was redirected to 50th street without letting me know the prices are not the same. I arrived at the facility (50th street Edmonton) the first sets of staffs were helpful, after storing my items, I went and gave the keys to the front desk, she insisted i return it under the blue canopy, of which i did and went back inside. I gave her the keys but she refused to collect it , she said I didnt park the truck under the blue canopy, that I parked outside the facility, I explained that was another dark skinned guy that she should collect the keys and verify , she insisted and told me she would loose it if she found out I was lying, she eventually checked and saw my Truck parked under the blue canopy but she didn't acknowledged her mistake or apologized for threatening and calling a customer a liar. TERRIBLE SERVICE. wouldn't recommend or want to use this service myself ever again. All personnel from the in-store staff to customer service seem very incompetent at their job. Some of the most clueless people I've ever talk to. First they send me a notification that I had checked out of my storage unit when I wasn't even in town and still had 2 more weeks left. I called them several times but no response, eventually I had to drive 3hrs back to town to make sure all my belongings were still there. When I got there they told me my locker was broken into and was empty so they replaced the lock on it. They went looking for the keys but 20mins later couldn't find them. The staff I was dealing with didn't look very intelligent so I lost confidence in them and took it upon myself to walk to the locker and have a look myself, sure enough my key worked and all my belongings were still there. Then 2 weeks later I was moving my stuff out and had made a reservation for a truck a month ahead of time, the day before my truck rental I received a call and I was told the truck I had made the reservation for wasn't available and I'll need to drive 60km out of town to pick one up. I didn't have a choice so I went to pick up the truck, but when I went to return the truck to the location I had picked online, I found out that they had also changed the drop off location to a place 40km away from the location I had reserved online. Called customer service several times to resolve this issue and every time I called I came across someone with their age higher than their IQ. Eventually I realized it was a losing battle, you can't reason with those that aren't equipped for it.Hassan T. | Overall Experience

One of the worst services out there that shouldn't be allowed to exist. I was told I had moved out when all my belongings were still at the unit. I was out of town at the moment. When I found out I had supposedly checked out I called the office but nobody picked up the phone for 6 straight calls. Then I made the trip down there and went to see it in person, there they told me my locker was empty and I had checked out. They couldn't find my info in the system. Excessively long waits for staff assistance, there were always large uhaul trucks parked in the way of the “drive up storage locker” and would have to go inside and request them to move the truck, and there was mouse poop all over the floor of the unit with no barriers to prevent mice from getting in. I had made online reservations, and for some reason the associate could not find them. I had to go through the whole initiation again with her. I also signed up online for the free lock promotion, but they didn't have any in stock so I had to purchase a lock. The hold ups and disorganization is a typical experience at this location. When my friends had rented an indoor unit a few months back, we had about an hour of wasted time trying to deal with the swipe card not working for the facility, having to return in and out of the store to get help from an associate as nobody was willing to come outside to help deal with the problem, and the alarms going off constantly. Everthing was good except when the uhaul people in Calgary confirmed our 10 by 15 storage unit for us for 215 then when we got to Edmonton and they said we had no reservation for a storage unit so we had to take a 10 by 18. But it was 240. So we said okay we had no choice cause there wasn't any 10 by 15 left. Although I received the unit free of charge, if I were to purchase and spend money on it I would prefer to have a clean unit which was promised but never delivered. Also I had a very hard and difficult time opening up the roll up door which was promised to get fixed and tagged but wasn't. My only concern relates to your practice of charging for the month. In my case I vacated the storage locker prior to the end of the prepaid month. I expected a partial refund of my monthly payment.
