I rent from uhaul on a regular basis. Usually a couple of times every month I rent a 5x8 open trailer for 24 hrs. Yesterday I rented one and then plans changed. I brought the trailer back not quite an hr from when I picked it up and explained my situation and still got charged in full.... I really think that I should have had a refund.... Waited in line for an hour when there were only 3 people ahead of me. The one gentleman takes a half an hour per customer and was the only one working the desks. He did not call for another associate. Another associate came to lock up and noticed the line up and hopped on and assisted the rest of the line within the same time the original associate went through 2 customers. I understand these things take time but once I got to the desk I was done in 5-10 minutes. A half an hour for a straight forward reservation is not acceptable. Having a a half a dozen customers + in line without calling for help is also not acceptable.Krisy B.

I am glad U haul didn't charge me because I was late 1/2 hr but it was such a long process in picking up my truck I was about 45 minutes behind. There is also some confusion on the drop off I had to ask several peopleNorman Y.
Worst experience I have ever had, I want to leave a 0/5 google review. 1- showed up at 8:30 exactly on time, the virtual log in did not work the guy took 15 minutes to verify the account 2- when my account was finally verified at 8:46, I got the lock combo number, the number did not work. 3- I had to wait in line for 23 minutes for someone to crack the lock 4- I ordered two dollys and moving blankets to be in the uhaul, there was nothing. 5- the inside of the uhaul was filled with someone else's belongings and completely filthy, pop spilled everywhere and filled with dirt I have used I haul and been impressed before, wtf happened here?Spearin M.

The whole process of getting renting a truck is such crap. What was supposed to be a 160 cash deposit got turned into 450 cash deposit which wasn't a problem. I rented a dolly that was supposed tolllRuby T.
TERRIBLE SERVICE. wouldn't recommend or want to use this service myself ever again. All personnel from the in-store staff to customer service seem very incompetent at their job. Some of the most clueless people I've ever talk to. First they send me a notification that I had checked out of my storage unit when I wasn't even in town and still had 2 more weeks left. I called them several times but no response, eventually I had to drive 3hrs back to town to make sure all my belongings were still there. When I got there they told me my locker was broken into and was empty so they replaced the lock on it. They went looking for the keys but 20mins later couldn't find them. The staff I was dealing with didn't look very intelligent so I lost confidence in them and took it upon myself to walk to the locker and have a look myself, sure enough my key worked and all my belongings were still there. Then 2 weeks later I was moving my stuff out and had made a reservation for a truck a month ahead of time, the day before my truck rental I received a call and I was told the truck I had made the reservation for wasn't available and I'll need to drive 60km out of town to pick one up. I didn't have a choice so I went to pick up the truck, but when I went to return the truck to the location I had picked online, I found out that they had also changed the drop off location to a place 40km away from the location I had reserved online. Called customer service several times to resolve this issue and every time I called I came across someone with their age higher than their IQ. Eventually I realized it was a losing battle, you can't reason with those that aren't equipped for it.Hassan T. | Overall Experience

Have vehicles well maintained and ready to go. It is not a customers responsibility to ensure airbags and tires are maintained. This company did very little to help a customer with a disability. ( not all physical disabilities are visible). I had to beg and plea to the point of tears for someone to give me 5 min of help after Uhaul didn't provide me with a roadworthy vehicle. It was very embarrassing for me,!!!!!!! I had never felt the humiliation of having to beg for help because of my physical limitations. Do not use COVID as an excuse. I feel that uhaul is using that as an excuse so they need not hire more people to do vehicle checks. They want customer to do all the work. I am certainly capable of maintaining two meter distance while walking around the vehicle for its inspection. I told the the agent that I was physically unable to climb on the back to take a picture of the roof, as I have a problem with balance ( which is basically non of his business) and that climbing could cause me to fall. Not only that, I wasn't tall enough to even get a picture of the roof. Only after pleading my case did someone actually help me. I would appreciate a phone call , as there is more to this story. People have to put humanity first at these difficult times. Show respect for those who have worked and continue to work the frontline services with or without a pandemic. We never turn away, or judge people, we extend a hand and listen to their needs. They need not have to humiliate themselves to get our attention. I am just saying the events that took place could have been avoided with just a little kindness. The people working at this location that day with the exception of the gentleman I initially worked with should be ashamed of themselves. They know who they are.Charlotte C.

When we connected the trailer lights to my truck, they didn't work. We were able to verify the connections on my truck had power. They said because my truck is older, it probably wasn't producing enough voltage to run the LED lights. I purchased a set of magnetic lights from the U-Haul store, which worked fine. The whole experience was awful. I could not get ahold of the local Uhaul company. I kept being put on hold. Hours on hold and still nothing. I then called the 1-800 number and instead of setting an appointment for me to get my u box delivered, she scheduled me an empty one. I didn't find that out until later that day. Back to trying to get someone to was impossible. I called the 587 number on the confirmation email and they literally had no idea what was happening even with my master ID. She said she would get the local Uhaul to call me but they never did. The delivery driver(which Uhaul scheduled) shows up to get my box the next day and it is not ready. Waste of everyone's time. Then I finally do get my box and all my furniture is dyed blue because of your ridiculous blankets. I will absolutely never use Uhaul again.Trevor F.

One of the worst services out there that shouldn't be allowed to exist. I was told I had moved out when all my belongings were still at the unit. I was out of town at the moment. When I found out I had supposedly checked out I called the office but nobody picked up the phone for 6 straight calls. Then I made the trip down there and went to see it in person, there they told me my locker was empty and I had checked out. They couldn't find my info in the system. Spent 90 min to rent a space ,after was rented i go back and forward several, times and the distance was considerable, because the access code was not working ,when finally was working the storage room had someone lock on , I was told (in very bad way ) to wait until The lady will be available to come with me and fix the problem . Upon asking one of the attendants to hold my stuff until the next day so I could get more helpers, to my shock and disappointment found that instead of helping me my stuff had been taken to an auction.
