I’m renting from this branch for 10 years, this is the worst experience I ever had with the staff. It was my mistake that I didn’t take a picture of the gas amount at the beginning and I got trapped to pay more. Was talking to Ekjyot( who said she is a manager ,but I didn’t see any name tag) the answer was:”You should take a picture from the beginning “. Any way, my trust cost me $20 extra up to now.

Dirty, fuel problems like dirty fuel or dirty fuel tank, the shock absorbers need replacement,the air conditioner or fan not working moving all the heat from the engine inside the cabin to the point that I had to drive 900 kilometres with the window partially open ,I did explain all the inconvenience to the attendant I he said; you have to pay now & do the claim after. Horrible was my experience since the beginning ,I did the reservation the day before for the next day 8.30am and the attendant came almost at 10 am & I had to go from Sherwood Park to Edmonton 50 Street to pick up the truck , the unit is primarily millage and not kilometres. Honestly speaking as a mechanic that I'm I think this truck most be out of service. ***I don't like this,I'm never complaining on anything & I don't need anything but this is the truth**" ***Sadly, I will never use this company service again in my life, or my family,or my friends or anyone I know, unprofessional & disrespectful is a beautiful way to describe my experience***

Customer service experience was horrible. I had called to extend my time on the rental as I wasn’t going to make it back for the drop off time I had mentioned when I picked up the truck. I called a handful of times as I kept being put on hold and getting hung up on. I mentioned that my experience wasn’t great to the clerk and she still tried to argue the fact that they only ever put me on hold when in fact that was not the truth. I’m not sure what happened to that location in the last few years since I was there last but my experience was horrible. The rental trucks brakes were horrible I pretty much had the brake pedal to the floor trying to stop the truck. Also the truck was pulling to the right constantly. I recommend they do a brake servicing job and a wheel alignment. All I got back from my experience was attitude followed by a $2.50 refund. I am highly disappointed and will not be returning this location as their customer service attitude is careless.

Booked at a different location, but it was changed to here with no consultation. Had to drive more than double the distance (which incurs extra charges). Van was not ready more than half an hour after my scheduled pick up time so I had to wait. Disappointing experience.

Well for the next customer, it will just get dirty from the road when the snow is melting. Other than snow and ice in trailer box, it worked out fine for hauling furniture. Covered furniture to keep from getting dirty on road driving. Overall, I was pleased with the moving furniture. Thanks again , hope I can get some savings from U-Haul. But you know everything is about making money. Or you’ll go out of business. Lol , yhanks

Everyone was friendly to deal with and had no hitch. When we picked up the other vehicle and started to head back home the right rear tire popped. We were I such a hurry because my brother had to get back to go to BC to work and we were already 1 hour past our regular scheduled that I called OK tire roadside to come change the tire. The mechanic noticed that the tire was right for the trailer as the other 3 were concave rims and the tire that popped was a convex rim which brought the tire closer to the trailer and when the weight of the vehicle was added to the trailer rubbed through the tire. The tire was replaced and we put a ratchet strap in between holding the rail touching the tire to keep from doing it again. Returned trailer but wouldn’t reimburse me for the repair knowing that wrong rim on the trailer caused the blowout

Was absolutely terrible service. People at counter could barely explain things to customers. Every single customer in there had some sort of issue 3 out of customers 4 walked out angry. Vehicle was bloody filthy, could not see through side windows or mirrors. Attendant in parking look backed out a cube van ripping off the side view mirror and causing damage to both vehicles. Would not reccomend ever. Definately needs new management unless uhaul is ok with being represented this way. Worst uhaul ever

Terrible experience. Booked a reservation at one location only to find out the person that worked there left early so I called in and the sent me to a completely different location across the city when I got to that location the gave me a truck and when I went out to the truck it was the wrong one so I had to go back inside and restart the whole process again and sign a new contract and easy so much time. I waded 2 hours of my moving day dealing with UHall BS and all they could do was say it happens. Never again!!

The first vehicle I was given , sooner as I hit the yellowhead trail , I noticed the transmission didn't shift correctly so I turned around and took it back and told them they need to check out the transmission but in the end it didn't take long for them to give me a different rental

When we return the vehicle. More customers are not given priority. A scary atmosphere is created that you have used up too much gas, and I was also told that the vehicle you parked is not the same. It was here first. I had the key so I ignored it. But this is not a good attitude with the general customer

U-Haul do not value the lives of your clients. I was almost killed by the 20" Van I was given for a trip from Edmonton to Katy Texas. This truck had a mileage of 122,000 Miles with rusted wheels with an auto-transporter attached to pull a SUV, and the most painful thing was that I told the attendant that this truck could not make the 35 hr road trip. He told me it had just undergone a L2 maintenance and was in top shape. Right from the beginning this truck was struggling, even before it was loaded. It was a horrible journey all through until it broke down right in the middle of the highway at around 7pm. The transmission just gave up while on a speed of about 70MPH, it JUST STOPPED. There were big trucks right behind us and they had to change lane in order not to ram us into the bushes. As it could not drive we were unable to move it totally off the road, and so had to stand by the roadside in the middle of nowhere in the freezing cold temperature trying to call U-Haul. Finally we got an agent on the phone and he was so NOT empathetic, asking us to sit in the van if we were feeling cold. Sit in a van on the high way at around 8pm where there was absolute darkness. He said a roadside assistance truck would be with us within 1 hr, nothing showed up until 2 hrs later. We took turns to watch out for coming trucks in order to warm our hands with the aide door vent. Guess what, after the 2 hrs what came was a small SUV who just came to see if truly the van had broken down. No Tow vehicle, no mechanics, just a plain guy who then called U-Haul to now book a tow vehicle. This was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. After that, he just left us the way he met us. U-Haul now said we needed to wait for a tow vehicle with an ETA of 1.5hrs, and this was now around 11.30pm in the middle of no where. Still this agent was so unempathetic. We were so cold we had started shivering and my legs/hands were going num. We finally decided to offload my SUV on the auto transporter and drove to the next town. I was booked what they called a hotel, it was the most horrible accommodation I have ever seen. The bed linens were stained, the towels were dirty and the room was smelling of cigarette, despite being a non smoking room. The washroom had stains all over and the shower was like a tap. I slept on the chair and did not take a shower to let you know how bad it was. I have the pictures and video and this would be going on social media soon, tagged U-Haul provided accommodation after van broke down. By the next morning, when I called U-Haul I was informed by van was yet to be towed from the highway. I did not leave Amarillo until about 3pm. My whole plans had been ruined because of an incompetent company ran by incompetent staff. I'll advise you think hard before going in the U-Haul especially if its a long drive. The guy that came to meet us at the scene of the breakdown said thus was a usual occurrence with U-Haul, that he was practically always out going to rescue stranded clients. Driving on the high ways is a very dangerous activity by itself, and to have U-Haul provide bad trucks to clients is reckless!!!

I didn't experience any issues with this location, however, I was disappointed with the self-service option. I booked the truck for 8:30am, which is before the location opens. I had to wait half an hour for the store to open because the wait time over the phone was 30 mins long. The employee at this location was very helpful and said it should have been automatically set up as a self-service option because my scheduled time was before they even opened. She was able to figure everything out for me and extended my booking because of the inconvenience.

Maybe explain that your company misleads people that they are to return on time through your app fhat doesntt work or uploads properly. I returned vehicle at 730 pm but got charged extra $96 for uhaul app not working. Rip off!

Drop off location did not check my proper reservation/rental. They called and told me I did not return the unit on time and that I was causing issues because of that... I had a 4 day rental. They said only 2 and made me upset. They did not seem to belive that I had the 4 day rental. I brought the unit back extra early on the 4th day to accommodate there next renter

The trailer was incredibly dirty, couldn't even read the license plate the automated after hours drop off was a joke didn't work after multiple attempts But worker very well to charge me another day rental AFTER I called and mentioned the trailer was going to be hour or so late they mentioned ZERO about another day charge I've rented multiple times and this was the worst I'll bet you won't call me to rectifie this

Wonderful staff but the automatic sliding door being locked during regular business hours was extremely frustrating. Moving carts through a heavy swing door that can’t easily be propped open is difficult due to it being much more narrow and also the lip to get through the door. Nearly every time I came to do something in my unit, often during the mid day regular business hours, the sliding doors to the main buildings storage area (the east side sliding doors visible from 50th st) were unusable making moving items in or out much more difficult.

I was in ontario dealing with estate matters got backand left messages still no call and my stuff was apparently sold. I know I owed money but I would have figured out how to make the payment now I don't care about my personal stuff but I do care about the things from passed family members that I will never get back. So sad. But due to uhaul 50st I will never pay another cent or use any services from uhaul. So here is to ALL the uhaul employees that make decisions like this when you loose family members...hope you loose all your precious memories too. 🖕

There were not Dolly's in the front of our storage building, like promised, we called to ask for some, told someone would bring one over, but it never came. We had to move everything by ourselves, luckily we made it out okay, but it cause unessesary struggle for us.

Mice infiltrated the unit and destroyed 2x mattresses. Was given a month rent discount to compensate which covered 20% of replacement costs. However this caused auto generated emails informing a lien has been placed against my things and that action works be taken against me. Trying to rectify this led to spending 2 hours combined on hold trying to speak to someone to clear this matter up.

I went inside once to pay my bill and waited 15 minutes while the one employee was on the phone. Once I realized he was talking to his girlfriend and not a customer I asked how much longer it would be and was told rather rudely to wait my turn. I waited another 10 minutes and left. That was the last time I went inside. I wouldn't recommend this particular facility to anyone.

One should be able to access his storage locker at anytime, the cost for the storage is a bit much, and at times it's bit long of a wait time when phone in to speak to a staff. Besides these negative factors. This location is great , the associate are friendly, and always provide excellent customer service.........Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a storage.

50th Street Uhaul was great 👍🏼 I stored items in a '10x18x10 Drive Up Unit' for about 48 months/4 years. *Be aware these units are not climate controlled aka your stuff is at the mercy of the elements. *Mice will be interested in anything that smells like food

The guy that assisted me was awesome. He did a really well. Good job. Made me understand what I was looking at and how much and what would be the better deal. He tried his best to get me a storage unit on portable one. But yeah he tried but didn't get one. But that's okay. I'm happy with what I got. Thank you!

On 3 different occasions in 3 different years, there have been problems with the computer system causing long waiting periods. The location on 50th Street in Edmonton desperately needs more staff inside as I have been there at different times at people have stood almost 5-10 deep waiting as there were only 2 available, one doing only truck pickups. When I tried to call in, I was put on hold for 30 minutes so that I opted to go in in person. The staff, however, were very friendly and helpful.

Everything was great. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the fact that when I arrived at the storage locker I always had to have UHAUL remove trucks that were parked in front of my locker. If I had arrived after hours, this would have been a real problem. Otherwise, all was good.
