I had less than two hours to move out. I paid the cleaning deposit which you stated if the unit was not clean, I would not receive the deposit back. You also said that I had to 6:00 pm and did not provide any information on other options. I recorded the conversation to ensure an accurate account of the situation, what happened and what was said, or not said; as I have learned from the past experiences with you that you change the details to suit your needs (e.g. cover you rear when you handle customer service situations poorly and know that if you told the truth of the situation, you would be held accountable for your actions, inactions, poor direction to subordinates and horrible customer service). If now, there are other options you failed and/or neglected to mention, by all means let me know via email; so it is in writing. And make sure to include all recipients in the email chain. Otherwise, remove me from your email distribution list and leave me alone.

We tried to get a storage where we rented the u haul on Florin rd sacramento ca, they didn't have one available (which wasn't our fault) and we still had a lot of our belongings in uhaul truck and no where to bring it and the only one you had available was on 47th and Stockton Blvd in sacramento calif. The lady said our only option was to empty uhaul truck out return truck then rent another truck and storage unit to get the promotion which made no sense to take everything out then put it back in another truck again, I'm 65 yrs old ond that would of been way to much work for me. We asked to speak to a supervisor to try and help us but lady said NO one could help us get the promotion. I'm just very disappointed with uhaul employees for not telling me about the promotion in the first and for not trying a little bit harder knowing my predicament Thank you, Kathleen Lynch

So I called & they were friendly & accommodating, stating that they would simply charge my account $25 for the difference. We moved over to the bigger unit. Then found my account had been charged for both! That was only because of a notification I received for a failed auto payment on one of my household bills. When I contacted U-Haul about this, they told me the 1st payment was refunded, but would take 5 days to process. Had I been made aware of that in the 1st place I wouldn't have allowed it. I do not have a bottomless account as someone there must have assumed! I have a budget that I mind carefully! Now I have bounced & late payment fees on top of everything else I cannot afford for at least 5 days (like gas to go to work) on account of U-Haul storage's unannounced charges! I'm moving out!

I've used this same facility several years ago. The facility is very secure, well lit and properly maintained. Both the office and the storage are easily accessible via either the freeway or local streets.

Michelle was rude, nonchalant and didn't take any responsibility as a manager should. She wouldn't return my phone calls or questions. She refused to get me a new unit because I didn't feel safe there. Absolutely disgusted with how she handled or didn't handle the situation. New manager came, Brittany Peralta, and was more helpful and professional. But paperwork was never updated. Michelle's contact information is still on all paperwork. Customer service is poor when calling in or going into office. Seems like all employees are reluctant to want to help. They don't know how to answer questions, they don't know how to explain billing, or any of the procedures. I've wasted a ton of time trying to communicate with this place. Seriously unorganized and messy. The owner and manager were unwilling to speak to me on the phone to resolve a payment issue and give me access to my unit. Left me dealing with a new employee that couldn't help me. Even after paying, I had to wait until the manager was in to gain access....24 hours later. Completely unacceptable! I have worked in customer service my whole career, never dealt with this many issues. I have moved out of my init because of it. I'm fed up, not worth the headache and i can't trust my belongings are safe. This place needs a complete overhaul.

Arrangements were made with Monica to pay 300$ and empty the unit. I called to inform them my wife had covid and waa given extra time to make a payment. Upon speaking to an employee at the local office which i have the entire conversation recorded he gave me permission to pay in full by Sunday. An email was recieved Tues saying my unit was sold. Im hurt im disgusted and i feel your company betrayed me and lied to me and because of that items were lost that i can never replace not even if i had a million dollars.

The manager (Betty Hay) said that they reversed the charge twice after I called. However, the charge was never reversed, which I confirmed with my credit card company. When I emailed again I received a snippy response saying that the charge was reversed. My credit card company again confirmed that the charge was never received. The manager has now lied to me twice. I will be contesting the last rental charge with my credit card company. I would never recommend U-Haul to anyone.

Andrea P | First ImpressionsYou need new people to oversee your storage facility on 44 street in Sacramento CA. They were never available to assist customers with problems when needed. I had to have 5 padlocks cut off my storage lockers due to someone ruining the locking mechanisms on them from trying to be unlocked without the correct key. I had 24 hour acces to my storage locker until I filed a former complaint with corporate about having locks cutoff. Then Betty Hay made my account for storage un-accessible after 10 pm at night. I was told it cost extra to access my storage locker when I needed to put things in there due to an emergency. So during my move I had to leave things behind in California and continue with to Louisiana without some of my belongings because I could no longer access my storage unit after 10 pm. I am still requesting my refund of $800.00 for the removal of 5 locks from my storage units. That is not including the costs of replacing the locks each time I had to have one cut off.

Then all of a sudden my credit card wad charged 50 dollars and when I called they said it was because they cut the lock off. They never give you the right information and then asked if they could charge my card again for 50 dollars to clean out the storage. I agreed because I couldn't get there to do it. The lady basically said I was lying about the cost on line. I will never use this facility again and I will not recommend it to anyone.
