When I picked up the vehicle the Uhaul employee specifically told the other employee not to clean the truck because I was taking it out. Also they didn't check the tires or inspect it or they would have realized they put me in a vehicle with a flat tire, which was confirmed by the person that fixed the tire that it had been flat at the time I picked up and the valve stem had been broken on tire for quite some time. So not only did Uhaul put my life in damaged, cause me extreme anxiety, but cost me far more money in gas and hotel as a result of taking 7 hrs to fix tire which resulted in me showing up to arrival a day later than expected so then had to hire people to unload since the people who were planning to help me had to work the following day. When I called customer support I was assured I would be contacted by yesterday, still waiting on that resolution call.Melissa J.

I had ordered a storage unit and it was described as big enough for a 2 bedroom apartment!! It was the size of a closet so I did not purchase it and had to move my apartment items into a friend's basement LAST MINUTE so I didn't even need to use the 20 foot truck I rented!!!Shauna M.

This location did not offer the 24/7 pickup which was promised when I signed up for the truck rental. I understand why it was not available but the right thing to do is to let people know this isn't available at this location. The clerk who helped me at the desk called me upset the next day. She was clearly mad at me for not returning my key during store hours even though the signs on the building and the uHaul call operator I spoke with said earlier that day said that it would be absolutely fine for me to drop off the truck at any time. Review the equipment well for damage and fuel level. It stressed me out having gotten ready to leave and then noticing unmarked scratches and dents and a quarter tank of fuel. I had my children with me and had to figure out where to park to talk to the staff. I know now that there is a way to report online through the text link, but he didn't tell me that originally.Candace P.

The two gals that helped us were great! They were friendly, helpful, accommodating, and fun. We had actually contacted a different company first but their customer service was horrible and made us decide to try a different option so we wouldn't have to deal with how they made us feel... On the website is said they do overnight drop offs, but when we came back with the van to drop it off, the key drop box had cardboard over it saying "no overnight drop offs". It was raining and cold and me and my partner had to wait 20 minutes for live chat to tell us it's okay to drop it off during the next day. Won't go to this location again.Aaron W.

I went into the location in Kansas City on Main Street. The lady at the counter asked me what I needed. And I told her I was returning a truck. She asked for my account information. I gave her my receipt from the beginning of the rental. I started to walk out and past a few people who I thought were customers. As I am about to leave out the door. I heard the female that was with the group yell, "You going to just ignore me!?" And started to tell me. "You can't bring this here! You see this key (with an Angry voice). This says "In Town Only!" Then she went on to tell me to bring it back to your original location. I told that was in Fayetteville, AR. She then grabbed at the paper and read it. She read it aloud and said. I guess someone made a mistake. And angrily walked away. No apologize at all. The other person just told me you were good. Never seen such a rude bunch...very unprofessional.Franklin P.

1st vehicle had an engine light on. We swapped out for another vehicle that the hood wasn't latched correctly. We were able to open and shut to latch. Wondered how diligent they were in inspecting. Also, we asked if the 15' had a lock. She said, go out and look, if it doesn't you can buy one from us. THey should know. Of course, we did, it didn't, then we came back in to stand in line all over again to purchase a lock. Other than that, happy to get a vehicle to move one way. Also, on the arrival, Buda end, we delivered to the location on our contract, upon arrival, that location required us to deliver to a secondary location. No additional charges were applied that made us happy. Expensive to move. Glad you were there for us.Michelle H.

The ramp on the truck that was issued to me was broken and not functioning properly. I called to advise the associate and she basically told me I wasn't operating it properly. Essentially it slides in and out. This truck the ramp didn't do that and was hard to put back in. Also, the appliance dolly I was issued, the wheel came off while trying to loan our appliance. I'll say the young staff, reluctantly assisted but there was one lady that was working but couldn't assist with anything. After dealing with this and having it take up most of my day when it was supposed to be an hour or 2 trip, I know for certain that the downtown location always has well maintained equipment and are helpful without assuming your stupid and don't know how to use the equipment.Ameena P.

I arrived at 6:40.. ish and did the self return. When I was finished there was no place to put the key for a night drop off.. I tapped on the door because it was locked. A lady came to the door and told me I had to come back tomorrow because they close at 7 or I would be charged $20.00 extra. It was 6:52pm I told her I did the self return and she rolled her eyes and said â€œbyeâ€. I've rented several trucks from Uhal and each time it gets weirder and weirder. The website said that I could do mobile pick up and drop off, but when I got there they said I could not and must have the truck dropped off by 7 pm. Also, I reserved blankets but they were not available. I would have appreciated an email to let me know that blankets were not available so that I could bring my own. The staff are second to none. Always friendly, helpful and happy. Unfortunately I was misguided on the storage rates. I wanted a large unit for my clothes and one wasn't available. So I was assigned 2 smaller units that almost added up to what I needed but way less convenient on separate floors. Then I was charged a rate that was way higher than the large unit I requested and inconvenient as well. So I moved my storage to someone who gave 2 smaller units on the same floor while I wait for a large unit to become available and am being charged the rate that I would be paying for what I requested until that size comes available. The stall that was given to me was still full and he moved me over to the next stall that he said was larger but it did not look like it to me. And I have to pay more then I was quoted. I am glad it is going to be temporary until I get a larger home and I will be measuring it when I go back. The day staff was extremely helpful. Raquan helped with literally all of my issues, which made the storage process much easier. Nicole made sure that once I was locked out (after 10pm) that my things left in the hallway were stored safely until I returned the next day. The only thing the storage facility needs are larger elevators. My sofa and queen sized box spring had to be carried up 2 flights of stairs which was a painful process. To whom it may concern I rented a truck that was on E they said it was going to credit my money back to me for putting the gas in the truck when I call about my money they said they credited to my account when I checked my account my storage balance was still the same when I rented the truck the very first time they overcharge double charge whatever you want to call it for $92 and some change tell me to call my bank because they credited my money back to my card and my bank said they never did they didn't see any credits of them returning my money and they didn't credited to my account because my balance it never went down and never changed nothing so when they say they're going to credit your money back they don't credit your money back they don't add it to your account none of that they give you the run-around the and they don't give you anything back like they say they do are they say they will so no I will not recommend, not at all.... thanks for your services......SHERONDA G. | Overall Experience

During this time of crisis and uncertainty. My daughter is at university in Kansas City and we live in Canada . It was a rush and a panic to get my daughter home then to hear a day later her school was closing and she needed to be out of her dorm in 3 days .
