when I arrived to pick up my truck, I was advised that the uhaul would not be ready until 1 PM. My reservation was confirmed for 10 AM. When I asked why nobody notified me, the representative stated she tried calling an old number. I asked 2 different people before her that I spoke with on the phone to update my phone number. I had also already paid for movers (outside company) and was charged $120 more (on top of 360) because I had to extend their time due to my uhaul not being ready. When I arrived to pick up my uhaul, nobody was in the store. I waited for ten minutes before I was helped. Apparently there were 3 people working but 2/3 were nowhere to be found and one was outside helping another customer.

When I arrived at this location, the person that works here was outside. The sign clearly stated to pull into the return area and wait in the truck for the rep. However, the employee walked back into the building and turned all the lights off. I got out the truck and waited at the side door until he came and I asked if he would return the truck and he said no and to put the key in the drop. I pray that I NEVER have to rent from Uhaul ever again

When I walked in I wasn't greeted, only told "the line was over there". Once in the correct line...the only one at that, I still wasn't greeted or acknowledged. I stood in line about 3-5 mins without a word and when she did, it wasn't in a pleasant tone. More like I'm tired, annoyed and ready to go home...very cold and rude! I get it, I've been there, but it shouldn't be noticeable. But, that's just my opinion.

Better truck maintenance. The truck I was in had $27,000 mi on it and it felt like the front end was going to fall out A lot of shaking and vibration. The windshield was dirty. The application process to return the truck is terrible. I went back and forth taking pictures of the odometer and gas gauge about a dozen times before I gave up.

Have regular maintenance done on ALL the vehicles. That includes checking tire pressure and having the oil changed. I have rented 2 different cargo vans from this location and they both needed the oil changed. SERVICE ENGINE OIL SOON and ENGINE OIL 0% LIFE was flashing on the dashboard display. Also on one of the vans, there was a message saying SERVICE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM. Before driving off the property, I alerted them about the issue and was told "it's just the sensor, you're ok". I was actually scared driving from Columbus to Atlanta thinking something might happen with the tires being at 4 different pressure levels! I had to find a gas station with a working air pump and put air in all of the tires. I don't know about you, but I believe it's dangerous for the customers not to keep proper maintenance on rental vehicles! I would like to know why are you charged a second time after returning the vehicle when they charge you up front for the rental fees and estimated miles you think you'll drive?!

Well they didn't even ask if I wanted extra insurance, they just charged me for it! And then when they told me that I could return it to Athens, Tennessee... well I guess they didn't realize that the Athens locations were all closed on Sunday. It was 77 dollars to return to Athens, but 57 dollars to go to Cleveland. Did I get reimbursed for the trouble of driving all over Athens and then going 30 miles south to Cleveland? No I didn't! Please contact me and give me a partial refund!

I reserved an appliance dolly. When I get there they don't have it. Then I have to travel to another location to pick one up. Then I was told that I had to bring the dolly back to that location I couldn't leave it with the truck. What is the reason for reserving something if it not gonna be held for you. Then the extra trip to 2 locations that are miles apart. Makes no sense.

I went to Uhal to make my pass do payment,the weather was really bad. It was raining so I couldn't use your keypad with my password it was down. Your representative gave me a temporary access card to enter the building I left Uhal shorty to retrieve my unit key from home. When I returned couldn't open my unit because there was still a lock on it hours later after I made my past do payment. Having walked in the rain for a employee assistant to remove the lock so I can enter my unit. When I entered the unit I noticed water dripping down the wall of the unit and a puddle on the ground my things where wet. To many issues that could have been handled better.

The first month I had the storage unit the sliding door to enter were broken so if I didn't go during office hours when someone could let me in the side door I wasn't able to get in. This was very inconvenient and a bit of a hassle. After a month they finally got it fix. Probably because they were tired of having to let me in weekly. Other that that it was good and if we ever needed to store our belongings again we would consider this location.

One office employee rudely after I backed truck in to unload rudely be told me I had to move the vehicle and Park differently for unloading. The first unit be we rented had a bad roof and was full of water, do we had to rent another dry unit. Could have been a much easier process for the customer.

I rented the unit but could not get access to it because the keycard reader was broken. I was told to come back later and ask office staff to let me into the card-gated hallway to access the unit. I was not told the unit number. Office staff were obviously overworked and too busy for pleasantries. These issues are not the fault of the staff, but the fault of Uhaul. Uhaul needs to provide their staff with adequate resources to do their jobs effectively. Based on this experience I will not use Uhaul for future needs, as their pricing does not reflect their ability to deliver on a consistent and reliable product.

When booking the space online from out of state, I selected the size I need and a unit that was described as "drive up exterior". When we arrived, that is not what we got. Instead we had a unit that was inside a storage building, at the end of a long & narrow hall, with a pole in the middle of the unit. We refused the unit for these reasons. The associate took us back inside and offered us a larger unit, which we accepted. Although the unit was still inside, the hall was wider and the unit was closer to the entrance. When finishing up the rental agreement at the counter, I was asked if I needed to buy a lock; I said no, I had one. It was not pointed out that a specific type of lock was required. A couple weeks later when we return to get a few things out of storage, there's a second lock on our unit with a tag for non-payment. We go to the office because a payment hasn't even been due yet. We were advised that it was because we weren't using the right type of lock, and that housekeeping would continue to put the additional lock on, and we would have to come during office hours to have them unlock it. We weren't happy about this, but said fine. The next time we came, the additional lock is on there and we are now informed that a charge for the lock has been added to our account. I will take ownership that the agreement requires this type of lock, so I paid the fee for the lock without complaint. However, the handling of this is very poor. Rather than lock a paying customer out of their unit, you should at LEAST call to inform them at the first notice. Also, this should truly be explained up front, as I would not have known the difference in lock styles in just reading the agreement. To wrap it all up, we cleared out our unit on 06/13/20, and followed the online instructions for move out on 06/14/20. The move out was not processed until 06/30/20, when I called because I received notice that payment would be due soon. Overall, we only had the unit for 3 months and it was a bad experience from start to finish with customer service. The unit was clean, secure, and well-lit, but the parking and access to the lot is also not ideal; many times we were stuck waiting for others to move a truck or trailer they were renting/dropping off and causing congestion in the lot.

After getting switched to a new unit becasue the one we had leased had a faulty latch, we got billed for two units and received threatening letters about not paying for the unit we did not use.

The staff was generally incompetent and unhelpful. Lost my reservation. Sent me to a unit that was already occupied. Then I was consistently overcharged for units I did not originally request.
