Notify customer at least 2 days in advance to let them know the size of truck is not available at that location. I checked my email and was notified the day before pickup at 11am truck not available at that location. I was fortunate that there was a truck available nearby. The U-Haul folks on the phone were terrific! This includes scheduling and both uhaul locations. Thank you.

The truck seemed to be in rough physical condition, regarding performance of engine. It could probably use some mechanical work. It was very rough and shaky. But, service of location was excellent!

We were first time renters. The owner was so friendly and answered all our stupid questions. Highly recommendable!

There was one person working the registers and the line was 7 people long. Everyone had a reservation, so it would have been easy to anticipate the need for more staff. The wait was over 30 minutes long which delayed our move and cost us additional fees with our movers. Additionally, we were given a 26’ truck when we reserved a 15’.

Waiting time to pick up the vehicle on a Saturday morning was close to one hour. Initially only one person was taking orders and taking customers to their vehicles. Later a second staff member arrived but the processing speed did not increase significantly. Improvements definitely can be made at this location.

I had an appointment for tail lights adapter install at 09:00. Arrived at 8:45. Line of 10 customer waiting. Told the staff I had an appointment. They took my keys and I had a seat. At 9:45 I asked if they wanted to reschedule. Then put car on the rack and went back to helping the other customers. Got out of there about 10:45. Staff was good but there was not enough of them.

This pick-up location promised me a 17 foot rental truck. The day before, I received a call that I was being upgraded to a 26ft truck. I was told that it would not be an up charge. However when I arrived, I was charged more that I had expected. They also did not have the car dolly that I reserved over the phone.

They gave me a 26 ft. U-Haul after I made a reservation for a 20 foot. I could not drive it so I ended up having to leave a day early because I needed to come back with my family and boyfriend since they came down to help me fill up the U-Haul which was so big I didn't have enough stuff to even fill up half of it so everything was everwere when we opened the door. Then they gave me a U-Haul with only 1/8 of a tank of gas. And the nearest gas station was roped off. So we couldn't get into the gas station and when we got to the next gas station because the thing was so big it was saying it was going to run out of gas. This was a nightmare. I have rented before a few times. I've never had a problem untill this time. I returned the U-Haul with 1/2 of a tank and never got a rebate.

I ordered multiple dollies and some furniture pads and none of them actually made it to me. I was then transferred no less than 7 times by customer service just to be told that they couldn’t help me and I’d have to move without them. I have multiple disabilities and only one night to move—I was HEAVILY relying on those tools. The U-Haul truck was also given to us with absolutely no gas in it, which was a problem as the location isn’t exactly close to a gas station. Overall, an awful experience.

Truck reeks of Cigarette Smoke, Computers didn’t work properly, I asked several questions and was give a simple I don’t know answer. Also had to return the truck 15 miles from where I was going and had to pay the mikes for it! Service is far from what it use to be.

Employees ( Daniel & Alex ) were very helpful. There was some confusion on the availability of my reserved van...but it was resolved quickly. I will certainly continue to go to uhaul for my moving and storage needs. They are the best in the business. This location was super helpful.

I reserved a truck at a different location and was moved to this location by the online system. 90% of the miles I paid for were driving the truck back and forth to pick it up and drop it off. The counter person who checked me out didn't walk around the whole truck or open the cargo area to inspect. Cargo area was really dusty. The guy who took the return was kind of rude. His entire demeanor was off putting; you take off your sunglasses inside. You don't speak in a condescending tone: let him know. Moving sucks. Having to deal with lackadaisical jerks makes it suck more. Oh...you can't leave your car at the lot when you rent a truck. Makes no sense. Why can't you leave your car wherever the truck you are paying for was parked? We need a truck again on Wednesday. Will not be renting from UHaul.

I made the reservation and paid on May 17th. The truck was ready upon arrival but had to wait 45 minutes as the office had to call the technical service because the computer would not print out a contract.

I was told I would receive a call from a “Chris” on Monday or Tuesday and after me holding various times for well over an hour I was not able to have my call picked up by the office. When I returned the truck on Sunday we had an additional 5.00 per day tacked on for using the dolly and furniture pads and dolly for 2 days total. I can send pictures and neither in the office, the bag of pads, the dolly or any other signage states it is 5.00 per day. It just states 5.00. The dolly did not even have any signage on it it had been ripped off before I rented it. You at this point have charged me fees that are in no way communicated to the customer. My charges need to be corrected and a refund issued, but four days later still no communication from the said manager who was not working at the time. Such poor service.

Original location to return truck was selected at 250 SE 10th Ave when making my reservation online. Arrived to location where there was a Haul sign on the door of a warehouse location. No one was at the location and it did not appear to be a safe area. I called the corporate number and was told the drop off location had been changed. I was never informed of this change and ended up wasting time and money. Fortunately, the staff at the Main Street location was very helpful but after this experience I most likely will not be using your services again.

I had an appointment for a hitch installation with a quote. The appointment was cancelled by mistake so I called and made another one that they had a hard time finding. Upon my arrival to the second appointment they, once again, had a hard time finding it. WIted about 45 min. Then presented me with documents showing that the install was estimated to cost about $100 more. I declined and made had my vehicle serviced elsewhere. I felt my time was wasted due to lack of organization and communication between the systems and team members. The staff was very, very friendly so I don’t feel it was their fault. Seems like the system malfunctioned

I have rented a trailer from this location for a number of years for my golf tournament. Everything has gone very smoothly in the past, but this time i had to wait over 30 minutes to return my trailer. The gentlemen at the front desk was assisting another couple for more than 30 minutes while I waited. There was also a young lady behind the desk, but she said she could not assist me because she could not pick up the trailer off the hitch. It is my concern that you are employing a person who can't or will not perform their job at the expense of your customers time. I do not appreciate having to wait for an extended period of time because one of your employees can not handle their job.

Staff are not friendly. If you pay with cash they keep your vehicle registration, which is causing you to break the law by driving without your vehicle registration so if you got pulled over you could potentially get a ticket. That is a very poor practice. I've never had that experience with any other Uhaul that I have ever used.

I was not told or did I receive an email update that the location of picking up my equipment changed from the original selected location to the new one. I waited at the original location until it opened to find out my equipment was at a different location. Very upsetting.

The truck that they first issued me had mechanical issues with the brakes right away. I tried calling the location but was directed to the national number. I hung up and took a chance on getting safely back to another location at 6th Street and 441. I met Jennifer there and she absolutely went above and beyond taking care of me. I wouldn't drive the truck any further because of your damage clauses so she drove me back to the original location and helped to get the truck swapped out. Jennifer is a great asset and you should take care to keep her around. She deserves your highest praise and a raise.

Very helpful and courteous employees. The check out was smooth and I appreciate the gentleman who moved his car from behind the building because I would have never been able to back out the 20' truck without hitting his car. He kindly directed me and then went running off to help another customer! Hardworking and dedicated! The return was after hours and the drop box "slot" was not easy to see at 10pm at night. A small sign or sticker stating to "place key here" would help. I looked on top of the box for a slit! That would be my constructive feedback. Everything else was SPOT ON! Keep up the great work!

I booked online and received confirmation that an appliance dolly would be $10 per day. This was confirmed via an email. When I showed up to rent the utility trailer and dolly the price had changed to $20 for dolly rental. Customer service rep said she would take care of the up charge and this still has NOT been resolved. Aside from the $10 overcharge, front desk customer service rep, lot attendant that hooked up the trailer and the drop off lot attendant were friendly, courteous and professional.

Not only was there an argument in the lobby, I didn’t get the U Haul I ordered on time even when I was there on time. They did not give me clear instructions about drop off after hours and because of this I received a 50$ fee that they claimed was because I “lost the key” that was clearly placed in the front seat. I can’t speak on other locations, but I do not recommend this one.

Get some employees who no how to treat customers stood in the line for 20 minutes while two employees fumbled around ignoring customers. Was granted 17 ft truck at 10 am . Ended up with 20 foot truck at 10:45 am. 30 minutes late for movers I paid hourly at 145 dollars an hour at location @ 9:45 one mile from location. Rude employees no paper work given or instructions.

The facility and rental equipment was clean and inviting as well as the staff member was very friendly and helping. My issue was with the truck itself, the A/C did not work properly and the truck had very weird smells like if the radiator was over heating. Also I had less than a quarter tank when receiving the truck. The mileage was wrong on the paper work. The truck felt unsafe to drive on the highway.

I do not know why I was charged twice for this rental. An extra charge showed up in my statement at my bank. I rented the trailer on Saturday, for two days as was told to me by the individual I picked it up from. I returned it Monday morning. Then the extra charge appeared. Why?? The check in attendee never told me I was being charged extra or I would have spoken to the manager. Never had this problem before at this drop-off, one that I have used in the past.

The parking was disorganized. I wasn’t really sure where I could leave my car or what the system they had in place was. A lot of marks on the floor showing traffic paths but it seemed counterintuitive. Great customer service. I think Jaime or Julia was her name.

First the positive. I was able to make a reservation quickly, the truck was clean, the return process was effortless, and my final rental cost was very close to the estimated charges. Unfortunately, I rented a 17' truck but when I arrived at the designated time to pick it up, the vehicle was not available. They offered me a larger truck, but I would have to pay the higher rental fee. What's the point of having a reservation? I was VERY lucky because someone unexpectedly returned a 17' truck while I was talking to the rental agent. The vehicle had over 133,000 miles and the check engine light was on. I was told by the agent "not to worry about it". That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the vehicle's reliability. I finally left with my truck at 6:21pm on a Friday and received an email from U-Haul soon afterwards reminding me to return it by midnight. What?! Then I received a call from an agent at U-Haul at 8:19am on Saturday morning asking me to return the vehicle. Very frustrating on Moving Day! I had rented it for A DAY and was told to have it back by 5pm on Saturday when the location closed. Because I was just making just a single trip across town, I offered to bring it back earlier and the agent was pressuring me to bring it back as soon as possible. Sure enough, when I returned it at 10:03am (7 hours early!) instead of being thanked, I was told someone was waiting for the vehicle. I've been renting from THIS location since I was in high school in the 80's. U-Haul, you can do better.

I would recommend this U-Hual location to anyone that needs to rent a truck. Everyone working there does a great job. I dealt with Christopher on the phone and in the store and he is great. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes and there was another customer before me. Again, I would like to especially recognize Christopher for his professionalism, friendliness and abilities.

I returned the truck within the 10 hours for which I had reserved it. The attendant never mentioned that I was going to get charged for two days if returned after hours. He did confirm my 10hr reservation but simply told where to put the key if it were after hours.

I would not rent from or recommend Uhaul ever again. Deceptive language on the contract speaks of any extended contract as “outside of time agreed”, when any extension of the contract is clearly time agreed upon when I CALLED TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT. As a result, I racked up more than $100 in extra fees I did not know I would be charged. The Gainesville location I used was great, but I will never use Uhaul again because of their absolutely SHADY practices. Someday somebody with more time on their hands is going to take them to court.

Here's the thing .. I'm dropping off equipment.. I'm not supposed to do thire job by parking a trailer for them . That's your job . Not mine . Net time use the equipment you have to put your equipment in your own lot .

The truck was not well maintained, was in dire need of brake work. The dash had buttons broken off and the back of the truck needed swept out before I could load it. The kids no reason with add much as useful charges if a truck is brought back low on fuel to ever get a truck with less than 3/8 of a tank.

When we arrived to return the equipment the clerk was upset because of the type of equipment we were delivering. We ended up not being able to drop the equipment off there due to limited space so we had to go out of our way to another location to return the equipment.

When you tell the customer there will be a hold on there credit card only and you can pay with a debit card when you return the truck, would be great if that's what your company did instead of charging my credit card a partial payment. That made no sense at all.

We were involved in an accident. The U-haul response was terrible; difficulty reaching someone to talk to, person who finally answered was tediously slow, and response time to the accident was over an hour. We were less than 5 miles from the rental location. You need to do better.

I used to online reservation tool to schedule a reservation for 24 hours. I received my contact via email and was surprised to see that they had only booked my reservation for 5 hours, so I called and supposedly this had been fixed. When I picked up the truck, I verbally confirmed with multiple employees that if I needed the rental for two days instead, I could simply keep it and return it when I was done, paying for the extra time. Instead, what happened was that, shortly before the five hour mark of a 24 hour reservation, I was called by the general manager for this store, who told me that the reservation "shouldn't have been extended" (which it wasn't, I reserved a 24-hour rental), and threatened me with fines if I did not return the truck immediately. This store is the worst U-HAUL I have ever been to, and I will never rent another U-HAUL again considering that I was threatened into returning my rental before the job I rented it for was completed. I highly recommend Budget, or Penske, or even Home Depot, before you go through the misfortune of interacting with a rental company that promises one thing and then delivers another. As a side note, Tyler, the person that checked in the truck when it was returned, was very professional and pleasant.

Not acknowledged when I walked into the store. No one was there! Walked outside to the propane where an employee was helping another customer. Waited a minute before going back into the store. A different employee walked right past me into the office. Waited a couple of minutes. Walked into the office area where employee was sitting at a desk doing paperwork. I asked if he would be able to help me. He did. Return went smoothly.

This rental was the most smooth in both pick up and drop off. There was a new (to us) young woman working at the counter who was very communicative and efficient. We were in and out without delay or hassle which as a corporate account, we really appreciate as we are on a time schedule to get the van and get to the event.
