The vehicle rented to us was not in good condition. It worried me the entire time that we were going to break down. The engine was making so many different noises. It was extremely unacceptable that this vehicle was rented out in this condition.

1. Please walk me out to the precise truck. Don't just tell me it's over there. 2. Please advise me that the truck already has a padlock, so that I don't have to buy one. Seems like the sales rep knew why I was buying a lock (to lock the truck), but the truck already has one. Additionally, the sales rep did not know why there were 2 keys; one was for the ignition and the other was for the pad lock. Please know what you are renting.

I'm not sure if this reflects upon this specific location as trucks come from everywhere-I did the mobile checkout where I had to confirm damage on the truck thinking it would be faster. I could not really see the supplied images of the truck (it said to use landscape mode, but the page wouldn't reorient when flipped...but they would have been too small that way anyway without being able to download). There were hardly any "X" stickers on the truck, which had an incredible amount of scratches and dents that I didn't want to be held accountable for. The gas gauge didn't match the gas on record either. One of the tires is slashed as well. I would definitely never use mobile check out again, I wasn't timing it but I think it took me 30 minutes of writing notes and taking pictures of damage of a truck that isn't even mine, which was pretty ridiculous. The staff here was very nice during my very limited interactions with them. Returning the truck took just a couple of minutes, and that's only because someone pulled in right before me with a return.

The process of obtaining the rental vehicle, in store, was not good. When we finally got the key, tried to start the vehicle but were not told about having to push the brake and pull the key out a bit. Had to wait to get someone to show us how to do it. Dropping off was a great experience and the gentleman who helped me was very kind and respectful!

Was told that I could not unhook or hook back the trailer that I rented and it would need to be done by U-Haul. If that is so then why are there pictures and instructions on the back of the truck showing how to do this?

The equipment was cleaned but it smelled bad. I used a ton of Lysol spray to kill (attempt to) kill the odor. The seats could've used a bit of cleaning off but I threw something over it. Chris went out of his way to help me and the other gentleman was nice as well; I didn't expect the great customer service from these two. This is the primary reason for the high rating. In spite of what's going on, they were handling the customers (sometimes it was busy) very well.

Your check in representative needs to be a bit less "robotic". I realize Sunday afternoon is a busy time for returns, but a bit more personality would have been nice. Did not get a "Thank You for renting with us" or anything near that....just "You're all set, see ya"

The location is directly off of a very busy street. The parking lot has very little customer parking. With that said, the personnel was very prompt with receiving our rental equipment. Just be prepared to possibly park your vehicle next door at the Wendy's.

I asked your rep ( Billy i believe was his name) for an 2 hour delay on the return. HE said he couldn't do it as it was rented and he was out of that size trailer. There was another on there when I returned it. I'm confident he could have provide me this exception. I will chose another return location in the future.

The personal check in function AFTER hours drop off is Totally ***** !!!!! IN CASE YOU DID NOT HEAR ME - THE AFTER HOURS DROP OFF Through THE UHAUL WEB SIGHT IS Totally ******! I welcome a call so that I might explain and fully express how totally ****** IT IS. I spent 20 years in corporate marketing and customer relations an have yet to find a web function that is more worthless or more ******. Please call me. I waited over 2 hours to get a code sent to my email. I could literally **** a better customer service portal for returning a truck than this garbage. I have used UHaul for over 10 years and have great personal and professional relationships with the staff - no problem. The corporate level and web services are worse THAN USELESS. Useless would leave me with nothing and I can deal with that. The corporate web portal leaves me with PAIN and wastes my time. Over 2 hours to get a code? WTF. Please, I beg you - call me 571 330 0810. I have no idea who put this web portal together but a monkey with a missing frontal lobe would have done better. If you gave even half a shit about your customers you would have tested this in real world conditions and fixed it. After trying to log in the truck I rented for over an hour, I gave up and went home. And my reward for over and hour of work is now having to PAY YOU $20. Oh how I wish someone from corporate had the balls to stand up and take responsibility for this steaming pile of dung you call customer service. I have a real business and stand behind what I do and take responsibility when things do not work correct.

The location itself is great. The website you are required to use to return equipment after hours, however, could use some work. It took 30 minutes to upload pictures because the website wasn't cooperating. Two other customers were there at the same time having the same issues.

They offer great customer service. A customer didn't have a reservation for a pickup truck and this location had none. The representative checked the next nearest location and reserved the truck for the customer. That is great customer service.

Make clear the impact of picking up and dropping off on time. For most it's just an estimate so unlike a rental car where there is a daily rate, the u-haul trucks should be based on the same.

Great service. Tried to use the self-pickup via the phone app - did not work. Much better to just have a person help you- it was great to have them help me live. Need to work on the app process. Suggest a pre-registration prior to being allowed to remotely pick up vehicle. Too much personal information being transmitted (DL, Passport, photos, etc.). Especially when it doesn't work; where did my info go?

I made online reservations and total I pad (excluding extra mileage which I knew about) was more than the online price. Ensure online system reflects accurate pricing. I made no changes at time of pickup. The UHaul staff member at pickup was NOT personable, NOT friendly, and just NOT enjoyable to deal with. I know COVID has impacted hiring but you need to do something to improve your staff attitude. No parking at location to leave my car. Should have stated that when I made my reservation. I was told to leave my car in the Giant shopping center across a 6 lane very busy roadway! Drop-off staff was wonderful. Very friendly, personable and easy to deal with. He explained the extra mileage, asked about the my moving experience, etc. An excellent return!

Not a thing. I was dreading the moving experience and the whole truck rental process went very smoothly. There was someone ahead of us in check in but their transaction went very quickly as did out. The employee who took care of us was very professional, courteous and friendly. The same for the return, same employee. A really good experience.

First. The self pick up didn't work because it took too long to get an approval. The additional person verifying never worked. (The phone never rang at the persons house. Maybe try to get your phone number off the blacklist???). We waited until 9am(about 40 minutes) to see the actual person. He acted as if I've done something wrong and couldn't pick up the car myself. No apologies for why and how It didn't work out. Extremely unfriendly rude and hot-tempered. I'm truly not sure what made him so worked up about me telling him the verifying call never came through. This kind of person shouldn't be working at such industry. Truck rental was just fine. I am still puzzled by the agent's behavior.

Originally booked pick up from the Gainesville location and drop off at the Amissvile location. Uhaul called and changed to Manasas location for pick up and drop off. Was told at the Manasas location that they do not have any 1 way trucks even though we originally booked a 1 way truck. A lot of extra miles, money and time incurred.
