You could improve a few things. One by explaining to me why my rate went from $56 roughly to rent the U-Haul truck for 6 hours (2:30pm-6:30pm) to $113 when I had to go threw your online sign in multiple times just to return the truck. An yes I understand that I didn't refill the truck to the level it was at when I got it an I should have taken a picture of the fuel gauge to show it was not at full take when I got it an that was my mistake. However I don't see why I was charged $40 to refill the take when I know for a fact the it would have cost half of that to fill it up with the current prices unless your using premium. I was very frustrated with your online return because like I state before I had to do it multiple times just to find my reservation to return the truck an just cause I got it filled out an returned at 6:34pm doesn't make sense why I was charged a late fee for 4 minutes. I will mostly not be using U-Haul again do to this. However your employees when I picked up the truck we're very friendly an great people. I blame none of my problems with U-Haul on them
Matthew M.Be sure to clean out rental vans. The one I rented worked fine but had dirt, dried mud, etc throughout the back and the front was dirty as well. Otherwise excellent experience. Billy was terrific and the associate who was present when I returned the van was so nice, friendly and professional. He apologized for the dirty van and was cleaning it as I left. Terrific location.

Gerald B.The truck had headlights out of alignment. The oil life was at 0%. The truck was parked in an 90° spot with metal posts on both sides of the perpendicular exit. Chrome would not confirm the GPS location on the check-in web site. I had to park my car across a busy 6 lane road and walk back and forth. The ignition key was "janky", and had to be jiggled in the ignition to start it. The web site said my truck was in one location and the store operator pointed me to a different location.

Robert W.I was told to inspect the truck for damage, but the truck was squeezed between other trucks so that I couldn't even see it clearly. In the end, I rented a truck with loose lug nuts on the driver's side tire...something I would not have checked anyway. I drove 400 miles on those loose lug nuts until 5 of the 8 literally popped off as I was driving down the road at 65 mph. I'm lucky to be alive today. I'm lucky those flying lug nuts and bolts did not hurt anyone else on the road. I got pulled over on the 3 remaining lug nuts. I lost an entire day while roadside assistance towed the truck to another location, and I received another truck. I can't recommend UHaul after this experience.

Richard F.You better calibrate your trucks odometer. I drove a 15' truck for 51 miles but in the end you guys charged me for 69 miles!!! I definitely sure there is something wrong with it since I reset the tripmeter when I got the truck. Is this the way you keep the prices low for customers!?

Which wasn't even set to a location that could take the towing hitch and had to be changed again while I was already driving to Philadelphia. Utility dolly was not given to me and was charged.

Carolyn W.I ended up renting a 6 x 12 utility trailer should have measured the opening because it's not a true 6 x 12. Went to pick up the motorcycle and it would not fit onto the utility trailer to narrow because of the design I haven't even told them what I was picking up and that it actually measured 59 1/2 inches wide and figured it would've been something they would've known with the opening. So it was a waste of almost $50 for nothing . Even called them within 15 minutes of the rental and told them it would not work and never got any reply to well maybe we could refund your money or anything it was just like oh well. In the future if I ever have to do a utility trailer would probably do Penske because there's is a true 6 x 12.

Jeff L.The truck was not in good condition. High miles, steering column was bent, and the check engine light was on. The truck had heavy damage to the front bumper and decals on the driver door. It pulled to the right when braking. There were moving blankets left by the previous renter in the back. I had trouble getting the key to turn the ignition and had to go back inside to get help starting the truck. The ignition issue plus some check out issues that were out of your control due to the back of my driver's license being faded, caused me to run behind schedule. So by the time I realized the blankets were in the back, I decided to just live with them even though they were a nuisance and in my way. During the check in process, to avoid a $25 fee I had to fold the blankets, even though they were not folded when I got the truck. I'm normally satisfied with U-Haul, this is my first time with a complaint. Nobody is perfect, but please try to have the trucks in good condition and cleaned out. I felt very frustrated that I could have possibly been charged for someone else's mess, and to avoid that I had to fold the blankets I didn't want or even used. I was also frustrated with the key not fitting the worn out ignition and needing finesse to start the engine. This truck really needs to be taken out of service.
