I logged in to initiate my self-pick up on Sun 12/19, but got a message that I'd have to do it in the store, so then I had to sit there outside and wait for the store to open. It ended up only delaying my timing a little because I was already running late myself, but had I showed up by ride share at my pick up time of 8am, I would've had to wait a full hour to pick up my van. I'm not sure why my check-in was changed from "self/mobile" to counter, but it could have caused a much larger problem for me. I'm also not sure why I wasn't receiving text communication for my last 2 rentals. I did for my November rentals and it was really helpful.KATIE H.

This location needs to do a better job of following the protocols that are left in place. If my reservation is set to be made before they are open. Why put the keys inside when there are key boxes? Not to mention, an employee was in his truck watching me for fifteen minutes and didn't even bother to ask if he could help (that's real customer service). On top of all of that, I requested for a furniture dolly with four days until my reservation and I'm expecting to get one. U-Haul is a moving company aren't y'all? How do you not have a furniture dolly? Or at least go get one to make sure your customers have one when they request them. Or email us in advance so we can prepare (to not have one). Don't just not care about how we handle things from there. It's terrible customer service.Christian G.

I was having trouble doing self pickup due to cell signal I believe. I needed to check in through the office and they were very expedient. Drop off was super easy too. I have used this location a few times over the years and it's generally been a positive experience.ERIN B.

The guy checking the truck was just there to do a job. Charging extra for mileage that I was forced to drive due to UHauls first 2 mess ups is absurd. If I have to drive further out of my way to pick up a truck due to UHauls failure to establish a functional system, more mileage should be added to the distance to account for a further drive.Austin F.

I drove the pickup 11 miles. Put a half gallon on gas in, because Silverado's get 23-31 mpg. And got charged for 2 gallons of gas. I see you U haul, nickel and diming us. Thanks for actively sending me into PenskeBENNETH C.

When dropping off the truck (during working hours) I was told by an employee to leave the keys in the seat and they would check it in and email a receipt. So there was no personnel check in despite the location being open. The receipt indicated the truck had been driven more than 337 miles. That is incorrect. The truck was driven one-way from Waco to Austin. My calculation is 127 miles. I cannot provide proof since I did not photograph the odometer at pickup, although my moving help workers on both ends of the trip might provide confirmation on the timing. And as noted above, the dealer in Waco did not walk the truck with me. So neither the Waco or Austin location reviewed the truck with me. After several successful rentals with uhaul over the years, the problems with this rental will cause me to consider competitors going forward.Walton P.

The location was great. I made my reservation online. I needed to update my reservation and was not able to do so online. I called in and the representative was helpful and able to take care of the change. However, I did have to hold for sometime before talking with someone. I would have preferred to handle it online. Maybe there is a programming issue that needs to be fixed with the online reservation updates. I tried several times before calling.Cory D.

I was going to do the online check-in but the internet was so slow at this location that I gave up. Fortunately, the fellow at the counter got me checked in very quickly. I didn't even bother trying to do the return online. Again, the fellow at the counter ( I think he was the manger) had me out really fast. Also, I used to like it better when we were given a full tank of gas when renting. It was easier to just fill the truck back up with gas and not have to worry about how much gas I used when the tank is like 1/4 full.RONALD C.

The owner of the store was very rude and obnoxious, he kept complaining about every customers reservation. I asked if he was short handed and he said yes.
