Improve customer service to make it more consistent across the board. When I picked up the equipment the service person was very mundane and uncheerful and didn't seem to care or show any compassion. Droppijg off, the service person was the complete opposite and made my day!

I have rented various rental vans from this location on many occasions and the customer service at this location is exceptional. They are very accommodating, helping out with adjusting pick-up/check-out times as needed, making sure the equipment is in great order, and with making sure that they leave a parking pass in with my key if I pick up after hours (super helpful for not getting towed). The manager (Ivory) especially has helped me many times, and really, she and her team is the reason I keep coming back to UHaul and this location in particular. Thank you, Ivory!

I had an unpleasant, unwelcoming experience as a first time customer at uhaul. I had unnecessary comments and demands from the ladies working at deer park Newport,Va. I was ridiculed for taking my time think of what to say and told not to lean against a counter as if I was watching over them.

I rented the truck for two days for about 250 dollars and the salesperson said If I bring it back a day early they would only charge me for one day. So I brought it back a day early and guess what they charged me 250 for for one day. and I only went to Charlottsville and back to Neport News talk about super expensive trucks I will definitely recommend not to use UHUAL ever.

I came in the morning after I turned my uhaul in to retrieve the money owed to me after the deposit. I was told I could come in and get in cash as long as came within 24 hours of returning my Uhaul. I came and was informed that they had already sent out a check with my money. I was told that they’re suppose to be in possession of the uhaul for a minimum of 24 hours before they can send a check, but they sent one anyways. I was very spread thin financially after to moving so I really needed that money today. I’m giving you two stars because employees are not following their own policies and it’s put me in a financial bind.

When returning & trying to check in online with an apple phone, your system would not pick up my location. I was on the phone for over 45 minutes trying to reach someone for assistance. I left & once I received help with settings, went back & was able to check in. Your site should give iPhone instructions to save this hassle.

I made a reservation for Saturday December 7th and was never told a time to pick up the 15’ Uhaul. The uhaul representative stated “they open at 7am and close at 7pm”.Upon arrival Saturday December 7th. I was told my reservation was canceled due to arriving at 8:35 and uhaul off of j. Clyde didn’t have any more 15’ trucks available. No phone call was ever made to let me know my reservation was about to become void after a certain time. I end up selecting a 10’ trailer and had to estimate the mileage I would be using. I never received a receipt or email breaking down what uhaul was charging me for. The total that showed up on my bank statement was $104. I really will not be using Uhaul any longer.

Had an issue for two weeks trying to get a car dolly. Had to drive from Hampton to get it even though I had reserved one at Hampton location twice and both times was not able to get one or a working one. This location had one. I did receive excellent customer service from both locations but frustrated about having to reserve twice at Hampton and had to drive to this location still awaiting my refund credit.
