Truck was well maintained. Staff was pretty friendly. However the cab was not clean. We decided to wipe down the seats, steering wheel, dash and doors ourselves, and were shocked at how dirty they were. Especially with the rise in COVID cases, the touchpoints should all be clean and sterilized. My biggest concern is that we originally booked a 10' truck as we only had a love seat, 2 arm chairs and some boxes to transport. We were offered an upgrade to a 15' truck due to the fact that this size of truck had to be returned to CA. I specifically asked whether the gas consumption on a 15' truck would be higher than a 10'. The lady on the phone indicated that in fact the 15' truck would be more fuel efficient. Upon closer review, this was not the case. We wanted to switch back to a 10' but were told it was too late. We feel that we should receive a credit for the additional gas consumed by the larger truck and for driving the truck to LA as a service to UHaul.Michael H.

Be careful renting trucks from U-Haul. We went to pick up our truck and it had already been given away although we rented it 10 days in advance. We had to cancel movers, and then rent little trailers and do the move ourselves in the trailers. Total nightmare. Luckily this location had a trailer we could rent.Douglas P.

It took several attempts and UHaul changing the time and location of our reservation to get this rental. We lucked out though, and were very impressed with the staff at this location. The lot was a bit chaotic but there was plenty of staff to keep things running effectively. The woman who helped us inside was lovely. Drop off was quick. We really appreciated this as we've had a couple poor experiences at other locations. The only snag was that the online process to approve the condition of the vehicle would not allow us to upload a photo of some damage we noted. This seems typical for UHaul - their app is trash and nothing technological seems to work right. The fellow in the yard was great and marked it manually for us with a sticker. UHaul sucks but this place made it a good experience.Kevin B.

The ability to rent larger trucks at nearby smaller locations close by. When I contacted nearby U-Haul locations unfortunately they did not have larger trucks available. When I inquired about the possibility of picking up at larger loaction and dropping it off at a smaller location that was closer to the final destination, I was advised a charge for one-way would apply. This would have been more convenient and saved some mileage as well as time. The larger location that we ended up getting the U-haul from was further, but the only location that could accommodate our needs. The parking and the access to getting in and out of this location was inconvenient, as it is very crowded with U-Haul vehicles. Given this location is extremely busy, there was only one staff member at the customer service desk trying their best to accommodate each client needs, and there was a long line of customers waiting to either pick or drop off vehicles. There were several employees in the lot trying to orchestrate U-Haul vehicles around the lot making it difficult for customers to park their personal vehicles as well staff trying to move U-Hauls for customers to take or drop off. It would be beneficial to have 2-3 staff available at the customer service desk to facilitate pick up and drop off of vechiles as well as assisting customers with additonal products or questions. Better lot access for U-Haul vehicles to enter one way and exit one way. This will inprove efficentency and reduce congestion.harold H.

We were given a vehicle that was supposed to have had a 1/4 tank of gas. It was pretty much empty when we started. We had to get gas before we began our move because we were worried the 10' van would run out of gas. There was debris in the back box of the truck.Donna C.
All the staff are incredibility friendly, helpful and efficient. Manager Michelle is definately a lovely Manager. Haji is an invaluable organizer with the vehicles, and ensures you are safe before getting you on your way. These folks don't treat you like a "number". Very disorganized, every employee was giving different information on handling the return. Also the location did not have any paper to print out contract. My receipt was printed with paper from the recycling bin, it was some employees schedule and person information on the back. They did not inform me that I would be charged if i do not return the uhaul with the same level of fuel as when i got it. So they need to be transparent with customers about it. For the most part I was happy with the service and staff at this location, but they do lack parking. A very nice lady in the lot let me park in their lot for the three hours I had the van. If you have to leave your car, I'd recommend another location or go with a friend. It was more money with mileage than I expected, but still pretty reasonable.Laurie P.

Only one Car transport dolly was available anywhere in Calgary. One running light was not functioning, winch strap mechanisms were rusted badly. (WD 40 is cheap guys) Drop off in Medicine Hat was the only highlight. The Owner there, Buddy, runs an excellent operation.Greg W.
