We have never had a problem with Uhaul equipment in the past. This trailer, however, was not in good condition. One wheel was quite rusted and the trailer handled poorly. We worried about tires. It towed as if there were square wheels.

not a good description of original unit, online, which was limited due to a low ceiling height. Staff was wonderful in helping us figure out our best options and getting us a unit that did work for us. The free month rent with the truck rental was what drew us to this facility.

The customer service was awesome and very professional. I was helped quick and promptly and my rental was prepared and ready for me. I had a great experience with my rental. This location made me feel royal with how fantastic the service was and how updated the rental was. I'm a big fan of Dodge cars as all I've owned are Jeeps and Dodge cars and yesterday was fun driving the RAM to handle my needs for booking it. Thank you for being top tier. This was the best U-Haul experience I've ever had renting a U-HAUL 💯

Service Tire Monitor System light remained illuminated during entire rental time. Driver’s side window had a constant air leak above 45 MPH. Radio preset button 5 was stuck and prohibited selecting other stations.

They made us go 30 minutes out of our way to drop the truck off at this location instead of the place directly in town. Then they had the nerve to charge us extra for going over our mileage for dropping the truck off where they told us to.

The original ramped trailer would not work as the ramp was narrower than the 6 foot wide trailer specified on the web site. Staff was courteous and helpful in changing reservation from original location to current location to find a trailer that would work. Very impressed with seamless coordination between Uhaul sites to help get the right equipment needed.

There were 3 people who helped me. Michael (I think he is the manager) and Harrison helped me decide what moving items would be best for my move. They even helped me load the items in my car because there was a lot. Kimberly L. moved me into my unit and was quick and thorough. She gave me all the info I needed and made sure I knew where my unit was and how to access the building. Great team and great experience all around. Thank you!

I had previously used cubeshart a month before leaving my previous residence, and the staff there and the prospective one in Athens had been giving me the run-around on final pricing. For instance, their storage units are designed to only work with a very specific lock type, and of course it's a type that NOBODY carries. I confirmed over the phone the day prior that the standard disc design of lock that every other place accepts would suffice. I also had to dispute a recurring payment that I explicitly did NOT approve at the previous location, and I had given them my intent face-to-face and by email from the start. Anyways, my experience so far with U-Haul - now and on two past occasions - has been simply pleasant. All four staff I had met at the Atlanta Hwy location excelled my expectations of courtesy, friendliness, and transparency. Despite being slightly more costly than their competitors, I'm certain that I'll be using other U-Haul-related services in the near and far future based on that.

I simply love this UHaul location. I Have rented from this Athens location many times over the past 36 years! Everyone was always great. I experienced the best customer service EVER from Melissa over the past 2+ years. She is exceptional. Michael, whom is there now as well, has always been a true manager and gentleman. The unit was small and had a large I-beam running through the middle of it limiting inside. I still had almost 3 weeks left on the rental and was told there was no credit for unused time and no further access to the unit for the remainder as I was vacating it. Personnel was unfriendly and unhelpful and I believe this was a manager I was dealing with.

We reserved a 26' truck, well in advance. We were to empty a storage unit on site, move the contents to a new home, and then move the contents from a rental house to the new house. There was no 26' truck to be found. As a result, the two $65/hr movers, using a 17' truck, we're engaged for 9 hours. Instead of 6. My out of pocket was $195 extra. My U-Haul fees should be comped. If not, I will never use uhaul again.

No attendant in the store. Had to wait 15 min with 2 other customers before employee finally appeared. Unit was too small for size of truck, upstairs, and cut in half by a huge beam that rendered most of space unusable. 7 foot couch would not fit in supposedly 10 ft unit. No other units available at any price. It was 90 degrees at 7pm inside “climate controlled” facility. Ended up having to keep truck over night and unloading 1/2 of truck into my living room and taking off work to return the next day. Then charged for extra mileage. Would never ever use uhaul storage again and certainly would not recommend. In fact I would say avoid at all cost!

When I reserved my 10x10x10 storage unit, I was not made aware that the total SQ footage would be broken up into 2 units instead of one. I wasn't made aware of that until I arrived with a 20 ft. U-Haul truck driven from Oklahoma City to Athens, GA. It was difficult for my unloaders to get everything split up because the total sq footage was not split evenly between both units. This has also made it more difficult for me, in that I have to move things around in order to easily get to what I need. I'm not a happy camper about this. Improved communication would be beneficial to your customers. Thank you!

Move out required a phone call to complete. Online move out request did not get to the facility. I was called by them about delinquent rent more than a week after submitting my move out request online. The facility was excellent, the rest my experience could not have been better.

Access card worked for about 15 days then stopped working for the remaining length of rental. Front desk did not know how to reset card or provide a new one, and never a clear answer. Was told they would provide an access code but didn't know how to generate one. Billing was/is a mess and not even sure if I was billed correctly. Cancelled rental and was told there is no way to pro-rate billing. Not even sure this is accurate.
