Was given a storage unit that was already occupied, manager was supposed to call us back, never called. We had to cancelled our reservation and find a new storage facility due as we needed a unit ASAP. There seems to be an issue with what is rented, what is available on site and also online...things do not match up and lead to customer frustration. Employee was not empowered to be able to fix the situation.

Abimael RI rented a trailer and returned it to the same location and to the same attendant on the same day. I requested a receipt from the associate who assisted with the return. I was advised I would receive a receipt by email shortly. A week later, I was stunned to receive a credit card charge notice for $261.78, for a full week of rental. Additionally, I was appalled of the news of there being no record of the trailer being returned. At the very least an explanation is warranted for this unpleasant experience and outcome with H-Haul services. Thank you kindly,

Walk around and saw someone in the lunch room and had to call out several times before the agent saw me (music was playing). 2. Previous location, the agent normally walk you to the vehicle. This time, I was told to go to the parking lot and see which vehicle matches the Tag on the receipt. 3. After checking the vehicle, the fuel was not marked correctly. 4. Went back inside the store and the agent claimed it will be taken care of when I return. 5. Got the final receipt and was charged for fuel. Very bad customer service.

Then I was too short to close the door of the truck- I saw a maintenance worker and had to ask him to shut it.

The clerk told him an option to dispute it would appear. No true. I went back inside and asked for a manager. He said I was correct, but could not send new link to register information about the truck. Therefore, he printed a new paper receipt. He walked me outside to look at the church truck and assured me I will be okay. Upon return, there was a line. The computer registered me about 5 minutes late. I was charged for an extra day. The clerk could not assist me and said that he will follow up with the manager. I witnessed him supposedly emailing the manager who was supposed to follow up with me today. That did not happen. I ended up calling the customer service 1-800 number to assist me. I did file a complaint.

CHARLENE SEverything went well, I only used the truck for 18 miles and about 4 hours on Saturday. I was a little taken back though when I received a phone call from U-Haul on Sunday the next day around 10 o'clock asking me if I was planning to continue keeping the truck and I had to tell them that I returned the truck Saturday the day before and only used it for 4 hours. Why was my return not reflected in their computer, we shall see if anything else comes up.

In trying to rent a truck to move a few large items, the website was useless, advising of no trucks available at any of the locations we checked. This was inaccurate. Then, we were told our license was suspended & as one was the emergency contact for the other, neither could rent... The license isn't suspended & we brought proof. The manager wouldn't even acknowledge this & said he wouldn't help us. He was less then personable to begin with. The restrooms were out of toilet paper, soap & paper towels. There was trash all over the floors, very disgusting. Then, cancelling my service within 2 days of paying the monthly bill, we were advised we will not receive a refund on the prorated amount. I'm furious. I will never use U-Haul again for storage & most likely for truck rental either. We found better service & rates elsewhere.

PATRICIA G | Overall ExperienceSeveral weeks ago I reserved a 10 x 10 unit for my daughter who I was helping to move back from Tennessee. I called several times to confirm the reservation. On 12/30, I phoned from Atlanta, Georgia and informed the location that traffic was terrible and I wouldn’t make it to Orlando until the 31st, the reservation was changed to the 31st. I offered a credit card number over the phone, but was told that wasn’t necessary. We arrived at the facility on the 31st with a 26 ft UHaul I rented in TN, only to be told that the computer had changed our reservation to two 5 x 10 ft units. We were told the square footage was the same and that it would work for us. We opened one of the units and could not envision getting everything inside the two units. We returned to the office and were assisted by another person. He insisted there were no other units available, although the facility at 1811 Rhinehart Road had a 10 x 20 unit available and due to everything that we had experienced with UHaul (Being the storage facially and truck rental, which is another terrible experience) he would ensure that they gave us that unit at the cost of a 10 x 15 ft unit. He told us all we had to do was drive there and give them our names, he would call them and make the arrangements. When we arrived at the 1811 Rhinehart Road facility we were informed that there were no units available. An employee then deleted another person’s reservation for a 10 x 20 unit and said we could have it. The manager then arrived and stated that she had spoken with the employee at the other location and had told him that she did not have an available unit and began speaking with her employee as to her cancellation of the other person’s unit. My daughter then obtained a 10 x 10 unit at non-Uhaul location which cost her an additional $60.00 a month. I have been kind and refrained from including the employees first names in this email. I received another email from Uhaul asking us to rate our experience and included the General Managers name and email address. I shared our story with him and asked for a response, we’ll see if he contacts me.

I mentioned this to the store clerk and he explained they can’t locate were the smell is coming from. It was so bad it was making some of the moving people with me sick to their stomach. Other than that the service was good but they informed me I would receive a receipt in my email and I never got it. I request for a printed receipt but was refused that which was odd because they gave me a receipt when I first obtained my storage and the truck. Sincerely Lashanda Saunders

Great facility, however the staff needs to be properly educated on the signup and move in process. I had to continuously remind them of things. Now, I must figure out another day and time to finish loading my belongings into the storage unit.

As of today I've spent 100 in products at home depot and I'm spending $7 everytime i have pest control come in. The manager said she never knew they were there but provided me 1 individual bomb so i can bomb my.unit. ( they typically come in the store as a.3- pack). Come again with your response.
denise e | Overall ExperienceThe storage unit was filled with Roaches my furniture and my belongings were filled with roaches had to throw a bomb in the unit before I took my things to my house... I’m extremely disappointed did not expect this at all! I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
Rosalinda R | Overall ExperienceOne lady was super rude !!! Horrible customer service. The gentlemen there were very nice and Daniel the counter guy was exceptional! But the woman w short red hair in a bob cut was rude she lied to us and said she couldn’t rent us the one truck she had because it needed to be back by 4:30 ! I told her we’d have it back by 4 and she still said no she couldn’t. When we called customer service they told us that there was a truck available at that location and it wasn’t being a rented again until 6 PM so we can take the truck till 5:30 PM when I went back in the store and told her that she basically lied to us and we found out by customer service that there is indeed a truck available till 530 then she acted confused and looked in the computer and said oh they must’ve change the reservation bull she was lying! Horrible customer service from her everybody else was awesome

Cynthia B | Online Move Inwanted one big unit but got two small units instead. was not informed i needed to have a smart phone to access the unit. the alarm kept going off and police came to check on us. i guess that means its safe. it was just inconvenient. did not get an access card until the next day when hubs saw the manager. just doesn't seem like anyone is ever around.
