Make it clear that you cannot get a pickup truck nor a cargo van without a credit card, actually check tire pressure, and oil level. 20mi out of my main stop I got an error about Oil Life at 55$. So I ended up having to put more gas in than I should've had

Worst place ever and I will definitely not be using this location ever in life. It cost 100 dollars for the worst truck in the fleet for 3 hours locally. Make it make sense now it goes from 19.95 locally to $115. WORST PLACE EVER!!!!

The U-Haul app is a mess for equipment self-return. Trouble with sharing location caused 20 minutes of frustration! When there is trouble with sharing location, the app should default to the return location indicated on the contract. That would be the most obvious thing.

Uhaul representative was very rude and disrespectful. He refused to help clarify an e alert that was placed under my name. I was given a 1800 number to call, and when I called, the young lady on the phone quickly removed the e alert. When I communicated this to the representative he continued to refuse to rent the equipment, stating that "the representative that i spoke with on the 1 800 number, "had to call him personally" in order to rent me the equipment." He then went to the back office and called the 1800 number, and after 15 minutes, he returned and finally agreed to rent the equipment.

Call the customer before charging any extra fees. And make sure the truck is clean before renting it out. If you're short staffed then it's understandable. But then Call the customer before charging any extra fees and find out what happened. I got charged a $100 cleaning fee and the truck was dirty when I got it. Didn't find that out till we got to the apartment and opened the back door. Wasn't offered a discount! Brought the truck back with an ¹/⁸ of a tank extra gas and this is how I was treated. Somehow you need to do better by hiring more staff or something. And take pictures y'all. Saved my ass an extra $100 cleaning fee.

Got there and my truck I rented was just gone. They gave it away. So we waited for 40 minutes before they were able to give us a van instead. No discount or anything and made a huge hassle about it for us. When I came back to return it I sat waiting to be helped while the workers paid no attention to me and just went around and chatted. My experience at this location would have been a whole lot better if your employee had been a bit more proactive. I rented a truck from another location, but had to come here to get a dolly and furniture pads, since he first location did not have them. When I arrived, I explained to the employee that I only needed to pick up those two items and that they should have received a call from the person at the other location. His response was something like, "I wouldn't know about that. My shift just started." I asked him what information he needed to see if I had a reservation and we were able to move forward from there. It's a minor thing, but I feel like he should have offered to look up my information immediately instead of explaining why he would not have been aware of the phone call from the first location. It also felt like it may have been understaffed, as I had t wait at least 10 or 15 minutes before I could be helped.

Waited in line for an hour and a half just to check out my rental. I watched one of your attendants take 45 minutes to process one customer. People just started leaving. When I returned, it was the same process. Your systems were just so slow that it was impossible to make money. It is clearly a bad look on your cheap corporate owners who will not pay to upgrade their system or train their workers. I’ll try somewhere else next time I need a rental.

When picking up the car, the service staff was very rude and said: I am in a hurry to get off work and leave quickly. I don't even have time to check the trailer. What is even more untrustworthy is that I rented the trailer for one day but charged me for two days!

The physical location is perfect. They are under staffed, which causes significant time delay. The equipment was clean but the back passenger tire was at 28psi and needed to be inflated per the electronics of the truck.

I dropped off truck around 6:02p but it wasn’t due back until the next day. I looked for personnel and I ran into a young man who assisted me. He stated you can leave the truck here and wait for me to get to it (there were trucks everywhere that needed to be checked) or you can go and I’ll email you your recipe. I asked is there an extra charge for that, he said no. I took a video of the truck and put more gas than when I received it. But yet my card was charged extra. I’m waiting for them to open and ask why.

Your company has a serious issue with the manager at this location. He and the assistant manager here are the reason I moved my stuff out to another company’s facility. They were both very rude and condescending as well as highly disrespectful. I even had a friend rent a truck from this location and she too had the same experience with the manager being rude from the get go. Look at the google reviews for this location and you’ll the same sentiment left by others in regards to the manager here. I will never use U-Haul again because of him.

The manager of this Uhaul is singularly hostile and unpleasant. He treats customers like they are idiots and does all he can to take advantage of them. The community around this brand is not a wealthy one and I can only surmise that this man feels he can treat people any way he likes. I would never return to this Uhaul and would make it clear to anyone who asked that it would be better to go to any other truck rental or storage facility rather than to deal with this man whose business model seems to be augmenting his income by cheating customers.

I have nothing but good to say about U-Haul. The staff is quick, but friendly. The facilities are always clean and well lit. Most of all, they are very secure. I reserved a van. There was no mention of a extra deposit or using your credit card versus your debit card so I had to get a larger truck which I did not need and the instructions was not registered for my storage unit, so when I try to sign in with the code. It did not let me sign in…overall experience was good, but those were just simple details that was not mentioned online at all. I received several emails and confirmations, but nothing was mentioned about those.

Easy to set up storage and move out. No problems. I love how easy it is to get in and out and all the dollies available to move furniture. The after hours access is wonderful. We always use this Uhaul storage facility when we're in Austin. Never had a problem, and when I made a mistake, the staff fixed it beautifully for me. I hate moving, but this place really helps me out so much!

Michelle was super helpful & very patient with me, even though unbeknownst to me there was a line gathering up behind me while I completed my Storage Unit transaction. I had experienced a lot of stress with my move the day before & that morning, but Michelle made everything go so smoothly. The next morning when I showed back up with truck after it being emptied, she made that process so easy as well, I was happy that she was available to assist me again.

I rent the storage space 2 days and advance and when I try storage my furniture the storage was still occupied . When I notice I go the office tell the guy and charge what happens he can answers my questions what happens he call the manager and the manager. I ask the manager what happens he don't know happens he is not even said im sorry he only try to ge me 5×5:space when the storage space I rent was 10×10 they have terrible ,terrible customer service I don't recommend the business place 00000 starts.

I have been using Public Storage since my earlier moving days, always came back, never had any issues. Unfortunately, my unit was vandalized 2628. To my surprise my 2 TV's, my bed and a nice desk were taken. Yes, there are cameras, but they didn't seem to capture visuals on the thief. Plus, I had to pay for a whole month for 5 days before I was moving out with no refund. I'm terribly disappointed.

I had done everything online and I knew I was good to go, but I had stopped inside to make sure everything was good and thank goodness I went In cause I would have been lost with the key pads and what to do. the manager of the store the day I was there, I believe a lady named Francis, but I could be wrong, is simply excellent. She is kind and patient and she solved all my problems when I messed up an online reservation. My move would have been so difficult and she cheerfully and helpfully got me a truck and handled all the paperwork and online stuff. Thank you so much! Both times I used this facility she was there and was so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. The storage facility is great, too. Easy in and out with our stuff. Huge elevator and lots of dollies to move. I was surprised at how quickly we could load and unload the unit.

TLDR; Do not recommend this location, save yourself and go somewhere else. I would not choose this facility again. I reserved my unit online, which was a very smooth process, but it was in person moving in where I learned what a mistake I had made. First, they tried to get out of the one month free rent (which I was due, given my one-way truck reservation through UHaul), and had to end up calling the manager (who was not on-site) to make sure that it was okay for them to give it to me. After confirming all of that, buying the lock for the storage unit, and going through the final booking for my unit, I was shown my unit and then informed that the access hours ARE NOT WHAT IS LISTED ONLINE. My access hours would actually be the location's office hours (7am-7pm Monday-Saturday and 9am-5pm Sunday, instead of the listed 5am-10pm). They changed their access hours sometime "in the last year or two due to multiple break-ins of their units". My representative repeatedly told me "I wouldn't put anything of value in your unit if I was you". After learning about that, I was informed that their access system was having difficulties, so I would not be able to use my key code to get into the storage building to access my storage unit. Instead, I would have to get the manager or another representative to open the storage building door for me each time I wanted in. When I asked when that issue would be fixed, my representative said he was unable to give me any sort of timeline (days? weeks? months?), only that they were working on it and it would "hopefully be fixed soon". My representative's code worked, and while we were talking about this, several other people were able to use their codes to access the building. Maybe it was because I have a new code? He was sure my code wouldn't work, but was unsure why, and it felt super shady. I tried my access code later, and sure enough it did not work. To top everything else off, the interior temperature of the building was sitting just above 90 degrees. There is a sign on the wall that shows a thermometer and says "For your comfort this storage area is kept between 65 and 85 degrees". It was cooler than the 102 degrees outside, but given I'm paying extra for a climate controlled unit, it would be really nice if they actually kept it within their stated acceptable temperature range. To sum up, I would absolutely not recommend this location to anyone. I was talked down to the whole time, and the whole interaction felt really shady. Also I would have chosen a different location had I known about the multiple break-ins of storage units! If I had known what I know now, I would not have gone here. TLDR; Do not recommend, save yourself and go somewhere else.

The staff member who helped me check in the car carrier in order to be able to unload the truck was friendly and helpful. She referred me to her manager for the storage unit, but he initially wanted me to pay for a new 5*5 reservation rather than checking me in to the 5*10 one I reserved as part of the one way rental. When I told him one of the car carrier tie down straps was torn shorter than the other but the staff at the original U-Haul attached and tightened the short one for me, he rudely grilled me saying he was going to check and double check for any marks that he can attribute to me as an unreported accident and that the safemove insurance would not be valid if he could find a scratch. No, I didn't have any accidents in it, but we definitely left the side-view mirrors cleaner and better aligned than how they started out. Both the storage unit manager and my new apartment manager said that the U-Haul storage facility is in a bad neighborhood in terms of break ins.

I called b speak to Mr Henry Guerra When I woman answered I told her my issue about me being charged over my mileage. She then put me on hold but before said she was getting someone to better assist me. Another girl got on the phone and was professional at first but then began to cut me off the. Telling me it was my fault o should have taken a picture of my mileage. Things got more rude then she put me on hold I hung up she kept calling me back finally when I answered I asked to speak to her supervisor she was arguing with me about that. She then got a man on the phone claiming to be a supervisor but wouldn’t give me his name so he hung up on me. I never had this experience before until now I have used U-Haul for 20 plus years and never had anyone rude or disrespectful. I will be sending an email to Henry. Terrible experience! When I got to the Uhaul facility where I made my reservation, they told me my unit was no longer available. WHAT IS THE POINT OF A RESERVATION SYSTEM IF THE ONLINE RESERVATION IS NOT HONORED! I am lucky they were able to help me find another unit nearby although I am now paying more than I had initially intended to for a unit of the same size. Great staff, terrible reservation system. I am never recommending a uhaul storage unit to anyone and will never use uhaul storage or anything uhaul again. Moving is already a stressful experience, and finding out that the unit you reserved is no longer available when all your furniture is a truck in the parking lot is even more stressful . Awful, irresponsible, and unbelievably unreliable.

The Lady that helped was very very sweet. I cannot remember her name but she was a thin African American Girl and she was there around 4ish on Friday 6/11/21 at the IH35 location between Breaker and Rundberg in Aust tx ..She was really caring eased my mind as I was going through a tough situation! I would like to recommend if at all possible she have some type of recognition for her outstanding customer service. She seems to be really dedicated and loves her job!

The express to the young man that I think his name was either Curtis or Christopher he was working there at the North Lamar store he was very helpful and he says you know if you don't have room for that we got a big storage facility over here on I think it's breaker lane or something here in North Austin Texas and it was real it was real cool and he set me up gave me the number and I googled it and I found it. Y'all should give that young man a raise cuz he is very good at what he does you know he's he was very helpful and I would definitely recommend them to everybody I mean I've always used you all no matter what. Improper mask usage. All workers either not wearing, or below nose. Constantly grabbing at center of mask with bare hands and touching everything from paperwork to cards being exchanged. Felt so uncomfortable, as I am moving due to losing family to COVID and and trying to be cautious when this made that impossible. Also given a unit that already had a lock on it and that caused even more issues. I would not recommend this location to anyone based on these actions and the manner workers presented themselves in. I am only grateful for the young woman who fixed the storage unit access issue as fast as possible. Although this also left me with a unit in the very back when mine was originally in the front.

The tornado experience was horrible and sad. We had 3 unit’s effected, but the staff was great about helping with the clean out/ damage. They did not set up my PIN number properly so my pin wouldn’t work. I was stranded in the middle of the night with a truck full of my stuff. I don’t know how someone can mess up something so important
