I rented a 6x12 to pick up a side by side. The side by side barley fit due to only having about 4 1/2 feet instead of 6 feet. I would recommend you make that very clear before renting.

Yes I would recommend this local location but U-Haul as a whole is impossible to get a hold of they need to fix their system you call your local location it sends you off to the national office and they will not answer all they want you to do is use their app

U-Haul provided a perfect service for a cross-country move. We were able to pack our U-Box easily and quickly, U-Haul picked up and delivered the U-Box as scheduled without hassle or damage. While we had family and friends help load the U-Box, U-Haul also pointed out the details of a number of helpers to help unload the U-Box at destination. The best ever move at a very affordable price. Superb!

We were not told about taking pictures before we left and our pickup site was changed to a further away site the day before. The pictures can only be taken at the pickup site. Since we were not told if this, I discovered an email after we were loading and the only way we could do this would have been todrive the truck back to the site. Wasn't going to happen. If this is so important, say something before we get in the truck, drive off and start loading.

I didn't appreciate the lack of communication about the location of the hitch wire connection. I don't appreciate it being located in my trunk and having to have the trunk shut on it. I would think that will shorten the life of it. I will go in to have it relocated to where it should actually be located

I went into U-Haul rent a car dolly and by the time I paid for the rental and went outside they already had the car dolly hooked up to my truck ready for us to test the lights and leave. When I brought the car dolly back they had it unhooked from my truck by the time we got the return paperwork done and I left immediately. It was a quick and easy process and this team there worked together to make it so. Thank You..

Take a picture of gas gage before u leave because they have u return it on what line the guy in office draws on a peice of paper. He does not look at gas gage. You will be charged extra!!! 59.95 went to 84 plus 12. Ouch!

The only thing to complain about, was how hot the “climate controlled” storage is. Holy hot, I paid extra money to have it controlled and not be a hot box.

I’m disabled and online it stated the storage room I rented was on the ground floor. It was not! It was up stairs and when I went to the office to complain your employee told me well that’s what it is and that’s that! I hope you know your employee just cost uhaul a 1000$+ one way truck rental for that! I rented it from budget instead of uhaul!

The staff was a not rude, but they were not friendly at all. All the interactions I had within the store left me feeling as if I had inconvenienced them by asking questions. There answers were always short and felt like I was annoying them. If this was a one off time it wouldn’t have bothered me at all but over several months and many interactions it never changed. Once again they were not rude or mean, it was just not a positive experience and always left me dreading having to interact with the staff, they didn’t seem very happy. Other wise, it was great. The cleanliness of the on-site restrooms was 5 out of 5 stars, my wife and I were very impressed that it was always so well maintained and clean!

Recieved my swipe card went and got a load of things to put in unit and the swipe card kept saying access denied. Tried contacting GM via email and phone and got no response. We got there 5 minutes after the building closed at 7.

I've been meaning to leave a review but have been to busy too. This UHual is the best one I've been too, I feel like after explaining what I was going through at the time and the issues I was having with another storage facility they were able to help me out by getting me a free month on a unit without renting a truck, which was beyond helpful. Then after the month went by and I found a place and the 1st unit I rented I only needed it for a couple days, the SM, Rob, was able to help me out by crediting some of the amount from the 1st unit that I didn't need amymore on to the 2nd unit I did keep. Overall this was a very helpful, understanding and incredibly nice staff. For any truck rental and storage needs this will be the first location I will think of every time and will always recommend it to anyone who would need the kind of services they provide. This location definitely deserves recognition.

Had a 10X15 unit reserved for almost a month but the call center gave my reserved unit away forcing me to go into a 10X20 at a higher cost. I think the call center agent that gave away my reserved unit should pay the difference of the higher costs!!

The staff has no clue what sizes hold what and just rent them to you without even seeing the storage units. They also do not tell you the ones you cannot drive up to unload your stuff until after you have paid. They should know this information and tell you this before they are rented to you. So then you end up having to pay more money on another storage unit and all they have to say is “they are expensive “. I had also set up direct payment and when my payment was due they didn’t take it out so immediately put a lock on my storage unit. They were also very rude and disrespectful to my son when he came and gave him and his friends a hard time about his truck being loud and that he needed to get it fixed. I will never recommend this uhaul storage facility.

Storage unit seemed really small for the size advertised. Paid for the unit and all, went to check the unit and it was the size of a small closet. Had to cancel it and get my money back. Price was way to high for a unit that small. Luckily, the staff was very kind and gave us no issue’s when coming to pick up and cancel the unit. Very nice facility, just way too high for the sizes that are available.

when i was moving out i saw a black box in a dark corner. not knowing what it was but seeing embossed letters i picked it up thinking maybe it’s mine and i forgot and when i read it it said “Poison Do Not Touch” and i put it back down. I would recommend using containers with words that are a different color from the box when placed in dark corners so i don’t have to touch a poison container to realize it’s poison.

The reason I rate below average is because I renting 2 units and needed a 10 foot truck to move and on had $60 and I have a good renting history with Uhal and the GM wasn't willing to wave the deposit even though I called customer services and had asked if that was a thing they said yes even more so when haveing a unit let alone 2 units.

Jessica and James were very friendly. I had booked a second floor unit and Jess was nice enough to correct it and get me exactly what I needed on ground floor.. I also did not know that they have sheds in the office so you can make sure you have the right size for you needs.

Had a small indoor climate control unit with them for 3 years starting at $75 a month, kept getting notifications about bill increase to help clean and manage the indoor units better, at the end I was paying $105 a month for a tiny unit that constantly had addicts living inside the “secure” building they kept up charging me for to help keep it “secure” but you feel uncomfortable going in there alone for anything because there can be 2-5 addicts living in the bathrooms and halls.

There are not enough words to say how wonderful the entire staff was during our year and a half of renting 6 storage units, trailers and trucks. Not matter how busy, our needs, 5 minutes before closing, the staff from the owner Ron to EVERY single staff member was awesome. If you have storage unit needs, moving supplies, trailers and trucks, this is the only place to visit. I would like to name every employee but if I would forget one that would be unfair. Clean, well lit facility, although they got rid of the security gates and fence for some reason. They could have ramps for taking the carts to vehicles for loading and unloading as the drop off out the door can be quite the pain. While secure, the actual door to the individual storage area seemed quite weak and flimsy and mine was actually very easy to knock off track. The alarm system going off if not signed in is a nice touch but pointless if nobody ever shows up and it shuts off after 30 seconds. Overall I would use the facility again if need be, but the price is high for the size, at $115 for a 10x10x10 I believe. I have a unit elsewhere that is security gate code accessed, and 10x30 with 20ft slanted ceiling and its only $135 monthly.

When wanting to make a payment, we would be on hold for more than 25minutes. It was an inconvenience to drive across town to make a payment. -auto pay didn't come out when it was supposed to. -A LOT OF OUR STUFF WAS RUINED FROM MICE & WATER DAMAGE!! Overall, the facility was good. However, our specific unit had not been cleaned out. Items from a previous renter were still inside. Also, there was blood next to the latch and drops of blood trailing from our unit outside to the parking lot. I understand it would be hard to clean blood off the cement floor, but it would have been nice for the blood to have been cleaned off the latch and door. We did get blood on our fingers from that, which was disturbing. We called to report the problem.

Rob and his staff were great to get along with. They were friendly, helpful, and professional. I was very disappointed with our bank card not being able to be used (Chase Bank). We could not do automated billing, because of this. We checked with our bank, and had no issues with it anywhere else. We had to make cash payments twice a month which was awful. The cost of storage was outrageous. The location and accessibility were excellent. I would love to give 5 stars for the friendly staff at this location, but the inconvenience cost me a lot of time and money. Being that this is likely the most expensive storage facility in Newark, it is unacceptable to have those types of issues. I could not in good conscience recommend my friends and family to use Uhaul storage in Newark.

It took 4 times to get a code to even work. After repeatedly calling the store and being transferred to customer service I was finally able to get something done by going in the actual store myself. The alarm sounding from the 1st unit that was on the 2nd floor was embarrassing enough, but trying to fit. 26 footer down the isle of the 2nd unit was even worse! Between the bad codes to the tight fit to get to another unit, we racked up another 5 days in van rental fees.

I used the facility for 3 yrs and had 2 units. Staff was very professional and courteous at all times, specifically Stephanie. Easy access and exit and plenty of moving supplies. Would recommend.

The staff was helpful when I got the unit but my card would not work when I went to the unit and I waited for 20 minutes for someone to take the green lock off and left as they never came.

Called and called about getting access and never could get a call back. Then tried to get 24 hour access and no one could help me. Took 4 calls and never got a call back about canceling it.

Lots of nails in parking lot. Would have been nice to have longer hours for access to units on weekdays. Hard to get from work to the unit and out of there by 7pm. Should be till 9.

Buyer beware of U-Boxes! The communication regarding U-Boxes from the staff was inconsistent with one another and with what the website stated. It made the process much more stressful than necessary.
