MICHAEL BAKERThere was so many problems at this store. The girl that was checking me in, it must’ve been her first day. The other two agents kept happening to show her on her computer screen. Want to put down. Then she didn’t after she entered everything on the computer then she told me I needed to sign, my name without me even the look to see what the agreement even said. I had texted earlier the number that’s on your front door asked what the rate was and I had her text sent back saying it was 54.95 for the rental of the transport trailer whether I used it one hour or 24 hours the price was still 54.95 a day . the agent checking me in then was reading off that I was picking the trailer up at 9:30 and I had to have it returned by 3 PM that day. I told her that the text I got said it was $54 and 95 a day which would mean 24 hours later. She said yes that’s right but her computer says I had to have it back by three or I would be paying the late fee. She said I can change that to whatever time you want me to show you were bringing it back. why wouldn’t it just automatically just put 24 hours in and sit five hours later then saying it’s going to charge me a late fee. After all the paperwork was done, she told me someone would come out and hook the trailer up to my pick up truck. so I was backed up to the trailer that I was the get, and out, walked the girl who checked me in, to hook up the trailer she started turning the crank clockwise, then start turning the crank counterclockwise, and then start turning the crank clockwise again because she didn’t know how to get the leg to come up. I told her just let me do it, I know how to crank the leg up. Then I ask her where was the plug-in extension that goes from the trailer to the truck? There was not one on there? She told me she did not know why it didn’t have one on there or where One was. So I was really getting frustrated. Then, I told her I’ll just go look and find one myself off of another trailer, in which I did I said I thought someone else was coming out here to hook this up and then she told me that there was only two people that does that, and one of them quit the day before, and the other one had left and she didn’t know when he would be returning. At that time she turned around and headed back to the office, while I was still waiting to get hooked up. A few minutes later, another girl came out to start hooking the trailer . At least the second girl knew how to hook up the trailer. Then my next problem was when I returned it later that day. The only person in the office was a young gentleman and I told him I was bringing the trailer back. Would he come out to verify that everything was OK with the trailer and I returned it with no problems or damage. He wasn’t going to come out. He just told me that if nothing was wrong that I was OK and not to worry about it. I explained to him I wasn’t leaving until him or someone came and post tripped it. the show that everything was OK because I didn’t want to get a phone call the next day saying “oh there was something tore up on it and now you need to pay us to fix” . My concern is, I am a retired UPS semi driver, and I know how to hook up and unhook trailers. My concern is what if someone came there who doesn’t know how to do this and your girl from the office comes out who doesn’t know how to hook up a trailer, and send that person out on the road, and something would happen to cause a wreck, or worse, who would then be liable? If this is the way that this location is being ran and procedures that they are doing, I will probably never be back nor will I recommend this place. I will try to find another U-Haul or Penske rental location ..
Leroy FiferThe van we picked up was disgusting. While loading the van, we noticed a small amount of yellow liquid in the back, and tried to clean it up. During our 5 hour trip, the van began smelling heavily of urine and when we arrived we saw that it was covering our items and moving blankets, it also had began to crystalize. This is completely unacceptable and a BIOHAZARD that resulted in me, the driver, and my passenger to feel ill after driving it. We were then charged for leaving it at a uhaul at our destination because we could not drive it back and there was nothing they could really do. I am extremely disappointed with this experience.

eugene prideSeveral comments. First of all, when you reserve a truck and go pick it up, I would think the workers would know where the truck is located and not simply hand you a key and tell you to go find it in their large parking lot. Had the worker driven the truck to make it accessible, they should have found the issue with the way the truck started. We made it work but only because my husband used to drive delivery trucks for a living and knew how to work around it. Then when returning the truck, we told them of the issue and was told to leave the truck and they would check it in later and email us a receipt. Considering the service we received prior, we were uncomfortable doing that. I really don’t think that’s great service to have your employees basically dismiss your concerns and then say they’re going to send you a bill sight unseen. Nope. I don’t think so. I don’t give anyone free rein to my credit card. We waited for them to check it in and give me a receipt right then. As for recommending this location, unfortunately it is our only location locally. But I will tell anyone who asks to be super careful when dealing with them.

John Pogue | First ImpressionsI waited in line for about 30 minutes and both the workers were talking poorly about their job, they took my paperwork and key and then I checked my bank account later and they had charged me $73.50 I'm going to assume for gas, however when we got it in Missouri it had a little over a quarter of a tank, I took a picture so that's what we returned it with. For them to take it and fill it up was not what I was told would happen. I have contacted my bank and disputed the charges in all the years I have ever used uhaul I have never ever come across this problem.
Dana GranadosThe online return was difficult, the photos would not upload, and the site kept making me retake the photos. I spent more time returning the truck than picking it up. This was really annoying after a long day moving.
Thomas WrigleyI am a long time uhaul customer. Trucks and trailers. Some of your locations are super friendly, helpful and efficient. This particular trip was NOT GOOD. I reserved everything online to save time and make it easy. I needed 1 trailer and some blankets. I picked my location online, picked my equipment and got a confirmation number. then arrived at the location about an hour later. First, the person at the counter said the total was DOUBLE what the online confirmation was. ???!!! The cost of the trailer, double, the cost of rhe insurance, double, the cost of the blankets, double. I explained i already did all of this online. The person just sat there like a bump on a log...and said. " well thats whats in the computer". After trying to explain, I ASKED IF SOMEONE ELSE COULD HELP. They said yes....and just sat there. So I asked a lady behind the counter for help and she assisted. She said the "system was acting weird and doubling all the prices" so just cancel everything...and redo it. They did that..........and wanted to charge me the higher rates..??????? Painful. Finally after much fuss, they got it figured out in the computer. As i was leaving, with my purse, 10 boxes and 2 big bags of blankets....struggling to carry it all with 3 employees watching me. One of them said to another, go help her. Lastly, they hooked up the trailer and the chains were so long they dragged on the ground and my husband had to redo it.
JOSEPH ANDERSONI know with technology and emailing receipts and such. Customer service doesn't mean a whole lot. I am old school when I have dropped truck off in the past they inspect Immediately. The gentleman that took the keys was polite enough to get off his cell phone and let me know I would receive email with my receipt. What would have happened if someone would have hit truck in parking lot before the inspection. Or would have been discrepancy in mileage or amount of fuel. I would have little recourse to dispute other than pictures I took and my own knowledge of how it was returned. So experience was was very bad. Hopefully you can make some changes before I need your services again or we can get another player in the game.

Paul FosterI went in wanting a pull behind trailer none of the 4 ways were working so i had to end up spending. 3 times the money to rent a truck. Forced to get the bigger one because the one I needed was not available took 2 hrs to actually get in the truck and drive away. Unfortunately I will not be back to this location.
BRANDI SHAFERI rented a $19.95 small truck, drove it less than 19 miles had it for less than 5 hours and was charged almost $45.00. We also stopped and put gas in it. The windshield wiper was terrible so we had to drive with a very streaked windshield! Sure don’t understand the very high price!

I walked in and made a call, the woman behind the counter was not busy, and still put me on hold... Some customer service?? Huh? I will be passing the word about the crappy service ...

MARK SMITHWhen a customer has a reservation in almost a week in advance, you would expect the truck to be pulled up near the building and the 4 inches of snow to be off the windshield and the customer not have to spend 30 minutes running the truck to heat up to try to get the ice off the windshield. Very poor service.

Shawanda FryeEverything went very smoothly and the service counter was very helpful and friendly. My only complaints are that the truck was way across a large parking lot (I had to do a bit of hunting to find it) and that the windshield was a bit dusty (had to use the windshield spray to clean it), probably because it had been sitting there for awhile. Other than that, a very good experience.

Timothy DuncanIt should not take a half an hour just to drop a trailer off. The sign said remain in you car and they will be out to help you. I sat there for 15 min and at one time waved at a U-Haul employee to help. He waived back and never came over to help. Then I called and immediately put on hold. Decided to go inside to get help. Finally after about 15 min on standing there and waiting for help I found an employee to help me lift the trailer off my hitch. He did not seem to interested in helping me but he finally did. Also when I called and was put on hold I did not hang up, I was curious how long it would take for someone to pick up. 47 minutes later I finally gave up and hung up.

I came back to Uhaul because my previous experience with Uhaul was favorable and because Uhaul's local store is handy. The truck I used had a broken sun visor, engine light on and fuel level at 3/8 full and clean.

Fred Perryman | Overall ExperienceThe vehicle’s steering was all over the road. I would not consider the vehicle to be safe. I noted that on my return. The online check in and our was not efficient. It took me close to 45 minutes to get the rental and about 20 minutes at least to return it. The location is nice and the girl behind the counter was very nice, but she was the only one working on a Saturday. She should have had help to keep the waiting down for all is that were waiting for assistance. Not her fault.

Diana StoneGood experience. Truck drove wonderfully. 2 minor issues were 1. The driver side visor was broken and hung down in line of sight 2. The app did not allow me to sign on to pick up truck. Had to go inside to pick up at counter and line was long. What should have been a few minutes turned into 40 minutes to get the truck. Counter person said that they have been having issues with the app doing that.
sue loveI had to keep my storage unit quite a bit longer than expected. During that time, there were times when my finances were very lean. The staff was great to work with though. The unit was climate controlled and my belongings held up very well there. If you need a storage unit, this is a great place to go!

ANTHONY ADIGWEI reserved a 5 x 5 x 10 and gave her a credit card number on the 9th of November. When I moved in on the 11th, the agent at the desk could not find my reservation number 760075-00108682 and said there were no 5 x 5 10's available. A bigger one for 59.99 was open and since i'm 78 and had hired a guy to help me I was put on the spot so I said yes but just until a 5x5x10 comes available. I think UHaul should honor my original reservation and let me stay in the unit for the 39.99 price or move me because they messed up. I would have to pay someone again to help me.

One was all my important stuff. When we unpacked that unit we found three adult cockroaches. So far I have seen no other signs of them. But I had an exterminator spray anyway. That expense could have been avoided if the facility was sprayed more often Otherwise very happy with uhaul.

Temp control was a joke 90-100 degrees I would go in morning before it would get hot. The big slider door wouldn't work unless you put code in again. Example take stuff to car walk back to sliding door wouldn't open till put code in again at the 2nd key pad. The first 2 months I had unit none of the above was problem but the past 2 months not good. So I found another temp control unit elsewhere.

In all that time, there was but a single incident where I didn't lock the storage unit properly, to which I was immediately notified so we could rectify the situation. The facility is extremely secure, what with locks on the doors and an alarm system for each unit, yet still allows you to come and go as you please. Additionally, it is temperature controlled, which is what I needed for my piano. When I moved out, the piano was still in remarkably good condition despite being in storage for so long, so clearly there were few temperature fluctuations, if any. Should I or anyone else ever need to store anything, this U-Haul Storage Facility would be the place I'd recommend.

This last rental was for my uncles belongings - we rented largest U-Haul truck and 2 large enclosed trailers. I also rented the the largest storage unit available. The app is very user friendly and the staff is always kind and attentive. We found the unit clean and the right size for our needs. When we went to move the belongings we had found the unit had a leak in the middle of the unit which had destroyed some furniture with water damage and mold on furniture fabric. I was given information about Uhauls liability carrier to take care of the damage as the unit was to be leak proof. I will have to let you know how the insurance is handled but this far has been a great experience.

Climate controlled storage was not climate controlled at all. It's was 93 degrees Fahrenheit outside of building heat index and the same inside the storage building area. Only certain members allowed 24 hours access into storage area., Without answered to why? Very segregated and prejudice. False advertising...issues with U-Haul.

Staff present when I was there to move in was not very knowledgeable about how I could access the building closest to my unit. Both staff present acted like they could care less. I was told there was a lock in the unit. There was not one. When I went back to the lobby to request one, I was told they had none. I was given a lock about 15 minutes later. I was not offered or told carts were available to help move our belongings until I read a sign in the lobby after we were moved in even though a staff member saw us making multiple trips from the truck through the building to our unit. Overall, the unit was as I expected but customer service was very poor.

The only reason it was an issue is because I was in a super hurry and very jammed up that day. It took extra time to get into the unit. Next, when I did get in, my stuff was soaking wet!! That was a huge problem, again because of my time crunch. Needless to say I was NOT going to put another thing in there. It was a maddening experience. I do think my experience was a rare and unfortunate one, that is why I am not giving a bad rating. I like that your facility looks very nice and so glad you took over the old rundown K-Mart.

I only had a storage space for one week, and I noticed cockroaches in my plants as I was removing my property from storage. Many more cockroaches came out of my furniture when I got moved into my new home. They were not in my property prior to being in the Uhaul storage facility and I had to fumigate my new home immediately.

Me and my 2 sons made sure the gas was definitely returned with the right amount of gas, but still charged me $50. Needless to say I'm outraged at this $150 total RIP off fee!!! And will be spreading the word of how Uhaul will screw you over every chance it gets!! Plus the guy who sold me the lock for my uhaul storage only sold me 1 lock & never told me that my storage would be 2 separate units. I was given the impression it would be 1 big unit, not 2 different ones.
