There was a bit of confusion while communicating w a local representative and 800 representative. An 800 agent assisted me w renting a unit. The particular address where I wanted the unit did not currently have office hours. A local representative directed me to a different location to, what I thought was to get access to my unit. I received an access code via text. When I went to the other location, the employee was friendly and professional, but said everything was set and there was no need to come to their facility. I was all set w actions I had taken. Outside of this, all went well.

Staff I wish to thank since they possibly saved me from losing everything in my unit. Since after unloading the Uhaul truck than loading up the storage unit I was so exhausted I pulled away without putting a lock on it. Thankfully someone from your facility sent me a text & email a few hours later telling me I had forgotten to place a lock on my unit. Luckily I was able to return back to facility and put a lock on it before anyone noticed or taken any possessions of mine.

Sandy Thompson | Overall ExperienceI was expecting somebody would be on-site to let us in considering already booked the facility. my phone did not work across the border and we faced issues getting a hold of the uhaul folks and used someone's else credit card and information to get the door/unit codes. Please ensure the booking says 'required steps' before finalizing the bookings. my understanding was that on-line steps are convenience and someone at the facility would help us complete the process. I was wrong. once we got the door code and unit information, rest was easy. thanks Nadeem
Khawaja Nadeem Ahsan | Online Move InWhen I came to move in the attendant at the gate was rude. There was also nothing online that said I needed a gate key to leave after the attendant was gone. The attendant didn’t tell me this either when we clearly discussed that this was my first time using the facility. I was trapped on the property and ended up having to call the police to be let out because it was a 60 minute wait on your customer service phone line and I had my 21 month old son in the car. I will not recommend this site nor will I ever return for services here again.

We couldn't get the lock to open, but thankfully Dave from the West Seneca store called and assisted us. He was very helpful. The app pickup seems nice, but for 1st timers, its not easy and was unexpected. Next time we need to rent 1 though we'll know what to do.

I had accidentally pulled into the drop off zone, and was told to move my car (that is fine) then I was told that I wasn’t going to get any service until I moved my car. I hadn’t even had a moment to walk out. I’m tired of paying money to be spoken to like a child. Also, your return 24/7 system is a slap in the face to costumers who have always returned their trucks, to be greeted by someone to look it over. Now I have to do your job, and if I don’t, you charge me? $20 Convenience fee? That is ridiculous. I checked my own van in. Normally I don’t write reviews but I’m tellin’ ya, moving is stressful enough. This process shouldn’t be stressful.

I would respectfully ask that Customer Services Reps (at this site) SPEAK........MORE......SLOWLY.....AND....CAREFULLY so that those of us who are ......"Chronologically Gifted", i.e,.OLD! (and also hard of hearing) can understand what they're saying. "Very easy to self-check out....."---NO, it wasn't so easy, actually. OF COURSE! when you know how to do something and/or have done it before, sure, ANYTHING'S easy. I DID manage to figure it out and DID "self-check out". I'm just asking for a LITTLE MORE clarity and patience. EVERYTHING ABOUT the actual rental, the price, the location, the quality of the equipment, etc. was ALL EXCELLENT. 2. It's nearly impossible to call THIS ACTUAL SITE. I have rented here several times, and talking to the personnel AT THIS SITE has always been clear; easy to understand. I'd much rather talk to someone local than to someone in Phoenix, Idaho, or Oklahoma (all places that answered the phone when I finally got connected to a live person). THANK YOU again for doing this great business.

"......." = well, for an old timer, it was a bit of a challenge. My only problems (and they were minor ones) were: 1. It takes "forever" to get someone to answer the phone. I'd much rather talk to someone AT THIS LOCATION, with whom I've had very, very good experiences before. When you call, you're (eventually--could be a 30 minute wait on hold....) usually talking to someone in Utah, Ohio, Montana,........etc. 2. I wish that the explanation of ALL the requirements could have been handled A LITTLE MORE SLOWLY. I didn't understand much of what was said; I just trusted the people talking to me AT THIS SITE. They were very helpful AT THIS SITE. Thank you!, and I will definitely rent FROM THIS SITE again.

I would never ever rent there again!! Never! Even my son who came to pick me up said wow he was rude! Crappy customer service equals no customers!

Joseph SteinI had a terrible experience with U-Haul during this most recent renting. I went to two locations, truck I rented wasn't at either, I was told I would be refunded but that never happened. Then the movers I found thru U-Haul destroyed all my stuff, causing over $5000 in damages. I am not happy with my experience at all.

Lisa TuckerGive some form of grace period time. Moved a recently deceased relative apt furnishings into storage. Was running late back with truck. Due back at 10am got back at 12 noon. Was charged another WHOLE DAY of rental, dolly and insurance. No prorated fee or anything. The sad part is I wasn't even finished. If I knew they were gonna charge ALL this extra $$ I could of continued to clean out apt. SUCH A RIP OFF !!

tymica austinOur 1st location did not have a truck so we had to come here. The lady at desk was very nice. But, we were charged a gas service fee and a gas fee even though we returned it at a quarter tank which was what we got it as. That's $64 extra dollars that we were OVERCHARGED. We also had issues with checking it in. It kept telling us our mileage was lower than when we left, which, obviously, it wasnt. We had to wait over an hour, at 10pm, for a rep to call us back so we could check it in and not getcharged for that also. Luckily that was taken care of eventually. We will most likely not be using uhaul again. Very disappointed in having to drive to another location to begin with and then being overcharged by $64.

Tracy McnallyEquipment was good. Someone before me left cigarettes in the ashtray and the employee tried to blame me for it when I was unaware that the truck even had an ashtray. He also tried to tell me that I drove double the miles than I actually did and my bill was going to be double because of it. I highly recommend using the mobile options at this location to avoid having to interact the employees.
Dillon GibbonsThe lady parking the trucks was very nice and super helpful but the app was horrible, barely any service there, after I checked in and went through the process to pay I never received a lockbox code and had to try and call the U-Haul customer service. When I called it said use the app. Tried to contact someone using the app but was unable to reach anyone. It was overall a bad experience and annoying. The cab of the vehicle smelled like someone left something rotting in there.

Erik HoeflichI was told that you were open until 7 when I made the reservations. I was also told I would have a ramp...I got there at 6. It took 2 hours to be able to get my truck. Thank goodness for the patience of the rep that assisted me at live verifications. Then - I didn't have a ramp. Very poor rating from me. I wish a manager would call me at 716-445-7004

One concern i had was no rock salt when there was ice from snow. Unfortunately, I moved out in January. Between the snow we've had and frigid temperatures, we had to be extremely cautious.

Ahmed ChowdhuryI arrived at the location at 6:45am for my 7 am online pickup. As I attempted to utilize the online pickup option thru safari and they the app I was disconnected after numerous attempts with a system error message. I called the local number provided on the site and waited on hold for 27 min and was advised by a customer service rep that the issue was corrected and to try again. I made numerous attempts after that call and received the same error message. I then attempted to call and was placed on hold for 58 min. During that time a uhaul employee arrived at this location at approximately 8:20am. I approached the employee as he entreated the building and advised him that I have been at this location for the past 1 1/2 hours attempting to secure the truck thru the online option. His response was “how is that my problem? It’s not 9 o’clock “as he proceeded into the building. At 9 am I was able to secure a truck after 2hours and 15 min of horrible customer service. I have used uhaul in the past and have never had such a horrible and unprofessional experience. I am hoping that by bringing this to your attention you will be able to address the unprofessional customer service that I received. Thank You Jason Lanning

The ONLY issue I had was the lock I originally had on the unit rusted so bad I couldnt get it open. An employee came out to help, which wasnt easy for them either even after spraying a couple different things on it. It finally did open but I HAD to PURCHASE another lock. I felt this was unfair as I BOUGHT THE ORIGINAL LOCK FROM YOU...that store! It wasnt my fault that happened and could not be used. I felt the store should have replaced it as it was U Hauls reccommended lock sold in yoiur store. If I purchased a lock elsewhere or brought one in I would have felt differently. But I was told at time of purchase , that lock was the best. I believed, I purchased. The Lock malfunctions, and I had to Buy another. Not really fair.
