Only thing is, please make one box just a little larger, and the shipping cost like $300 less!

GLEN WMy Ubox arrived later than expected. System issues created tough communication but everyone tried their best to help. This is the 3rd time using a Ubox and the first time having issues.
Victoria KBoth of these locations were fine and easy to work with. Drop off was at night and I did need to find the key drop box. Only two things: with a long distance one way rental, adding on 4 extra miles and charging for that seems a bit petty. Second, the drop off location first listed was shown as "recommended" but was not agreed to. They called me while I was on the road, I told the person we hadn't agreed to drop there, but they sent a "confirmation" that I was dropping the truck at their location, which I had not. Then I called them and a woman who answered the phone was quite rude, said that it was only 5 or so miles further away (so I would have been charged more on the excess mileage) but then added that U-haul would give me 200 extra miles which is obviously not true. She then said "Well you do whatever you want" and hung up on me. I had to call the Phoenix area number to ask them to correct this and the agent I spoke with was able to confirm for me that I could drop the truck where I wanted. So the people at 1613 Boulder Hwy need to be spoken to about how they are treating your customers, since I would nto ever be a customer of that location.

The office called me and left a number to return the call and they never picked up. I was rolled over to a call center and that individual hung up on me when I said I was having problems.

sylvester fWhen trying to pick up the truck through the mobile app the GPS function doesn't work. I was at the correct uhaul location and it couldnt recgonize i was right in front of the store. I had to call customer service to get help.
Jena II initially set up my reservation online weeks prior to my arrival. I was flying in to rent and do a one way back to Phoenix. The day before my arrival I was told that they didn’t have a tow dolly for me. Unacceptable. So now I had to find one across town. Hindsight, I should’ve moved my entire rental to the one across town. After I picked my truck from the 989 location, I noticed the brakes were grinding and the steering wheel would almost shake out of my hand when the brakes were applied. When I got to the other location they hooked. me up with a new truck. To rent that truck out in the condition it was in for a long road trip is unacceptable and they unsafe.

Katie, working the counter alone, was very nice, but got no support from her superiors. I am so happy I will never have to deal with this location again.

Kellye d | First ImpressionsWe had our RV stored at this facility from May 2022 through January 2024. The facility was excellent for the first year plus. In November 2023 we went to our RV to realize it had been broken into and ransacked. We called uHaul and I personally went in to the office to report the incident. I asked don't you have cameras? They stated yes we do, it is a guy in a black hoodie. but no other info was given. We did our best to secure the RV, making sure all the windows were tightly fastened. In December we again went to the RV and again it had been broken in to. We had an exterior mirror broken and 3 shades broken. Again I called uHaul and got a lot of excuses, they knew it was happening but did little to nothing to stop the situation. When we would go there we would see other RVs with a window wide open or a door wide open and each time we would report to the office what we saw. They did not seem to care that our property was being broken in to and vandalized. We removed our RV from the facility and we would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe place to store any item in their back lot.

Cameras don't adequately cover the outside storage areas and many have very poor pictures of the area. You boast gated and secure facility but you are not. You have break-ins, vandalism and thefts. and you deny any responsibility. My SUV was broken into, damaged and a large number of high value items stolen. Some items were large and heavy so they had to have a vehicle very close to parking slot 143. They also spent considerable time looking for items and breaking into boxes in the back of the Suv and in the glove box and console. Unusual that they put a jacket and towel to cover the side i believe this was an inside job due to several unusual actions. The investigator took pictures, got finger prints off many areas. Waiting for results.. I clearly intend to have charges brought since item value was well over $2K, and extensive damages to my SUV.

Uhaul should have handled the migration out of Rv parking differently and with respect—which I was not afforded. Perhaps I am an exception and not the rule. But to be alerted by email the first week of the month (coincidentally when out of town using my rv) that the space I paid for that month was no longer my space and would not be available upon my return is rather slimy. Should have been alerted PRIOR to change so I could make an informed purchasing decision/see about alternatives. The same day of the email sent, I called and was kept on hold for just shy of 20 minutes, then agent returned on line and informed me that the email author was busy with another customer, sorry. I told the agent I would respond to the email, which I did, and infuriatingly the person never responded to my email. Clown show. I should be refunded the last month (my rv wasn’t there!) of my tenancy, period.

I could manually pay using the card I had set up for autopay, but it would not work under autopay. When having to call the store, or to call the store back, the phone tag was horrendous. I seldom got through directly to the store, would get routed to a call center, and if I called back I'd go back to the call center, etc. Otherwise, the facility, staff, etc. was great.

But if I was patient and asked for a manager the problem was usually solved mostly to my satisfaction. Sometime earlier access hours would have been convenient but this was not a big issue. One thing that was an issue is when I rented this spot was it was implied coveres were being installed for sun and element protection but that never occurred. Overall a fairly positive experience at a reasonable price which is why I stayed for several year. I have moved and at the price of gas, this lot became too costly.

So I paid over $400 dollars to rent a unit for like 35 days. While checking out I hear another customer who is checking out who came in on a free first month promo that is checking out on day 28 or so. She paid $0. I understand I didn’t have a promo etc... but the fact that I not only rented the unit, I also rented a truck, bought hundreds of dollars in boxes and tape and other supplies from you. I feel not prorating the unit turned a great experience into a bit of a rip off. I’m sure this comment is a waste of my time, but it is what it is I guess.

Aaron B | Overall ExperienceI have been storing my travel trailer with Uhaul for several months at this location. My wife told me numerous times we should not have it there it is not safe. The appearance of outside storage is that of a salvage yard. There are a few select nice units, other than that there are cars that are stripped, broken windows etc. I assured her that with the security of the place with cameras and other methods the trailer is going to be safe. This past Wednesday (5-13-20) we found all my wife's worries to come true. We went to pick up our trailer and found it had been broken into. Upon noticing I went directly to the office to alert them, and I was told by the staff that "not to make things better, but other storage companies in the area had a recent problem with this as well". Further once police arrive and we enter the trailer, we find it was not only broken into, but someone was living in it and had been for months!!! Shame on you uhaul!! You should at minimum have someone walking the storage lot at a minimum of once a month if not once a week. This is totally unacceptable business practice for people that are thinking they are "securing" their property in your storage lot. Once police left, I had the wonderful task of clearing out the trailer. I had two garbage bags full of this persons trash. I went to the front office and asked about throwing these away in a dumpster on site. The old man in the hitch shop said we cannot allow customers to throw trash in our dumpster. I explained to him the situation and he laughed in response. This type of response is completely unprofessional and makes me think this must happen everyday if he is just laughing it off. I would and never will recommend this place to anyone. Uhaul you did not handle this properly as a company and should be ashamed of your business practices.

My RV, and several others, were broken into and damaged. Little was done, I have asked several times if they found anything on the video and have gotten no response. They also are continuously raising their rates. I would rather stick my RV on the road where I know I will be able to keep an eye on it.

I was told he and some of the employees have given out access codes to get in and out and I think that is why my trailer was stolen. I was told He will not let the police see the video of the night my trailer was stolen and tells them it’s up to corporate. I was a customer since 2013 and never missed my payments. When I needed to move out of one of my spots the manager and a employee failed to inform me I will not get my payment back for the storage since I was in the spot for three days past when I paid for the month. Both the manager and employee put someone in my spot on the same day I pulled my boat out on the third day after I made my payment for the month. There are other issues I had with the manager with my credit card being charged for my storage when I had auto pay in my account. When he took over as manager things in the storage yard have been a mess. He allows junk collectors to store in storage spots intended for boats, campers and vehicles. Again I will never rent anything associated with U-Haul and my fellow Veterans in the Veterans Organization will be sent a memo on how U-Haul treats Veterans.
