Pros with no slimy up-sell.
Grand Touch PianoFound it odd that the "pickup location" was changes the day before.... however in my case only, i was given a 15ft instead of a 10ft, which by luck fit everything I needed to move with a bit of extra space.... all employees from all locations were helpful, didn't have any issues interacting with any of them. Repeating this for the "Drop off"

Diana TurnerCustomer Parking. Customers need to be able to park if their vehicles if they are renting a truck. There have been many occasions where I'm dissuaded from renting a U-Haul because there is no parking onsite or nearby.

Returned for help and was shown van parked driver side in against metal hut. very difficult to get into van and had to do a 8 point turn to get it out of the parking spot. Pictures on site per approving agreement were taken some time ago looking at the trees in background. Customer service call to extend rental was fantastic, customer service agent at pick up was great.

Nick MendoliaOn move in day, there was mouse poop everywhere. The door and the latch were difficult to open and close. I centrally, the latch rusted and broke off in my hand one night and I was unable to lock my storage unit. The entire parking lot and storage area had such inadequate lighting, and I always had to bring my own lights if I was coming in the evening. I had a terrible experience at this location and I’m happy I’m finally out of there. When they told me that they had to have my unit EMPTY to mend and replace the door - I was done with this location. I was then given some options surrounding moving locations, but I was still required to load and unload my own storage unit - costing me time, stress and overall an extremely poor experience at this location. I do hope that I have a better experience next time.
Jen Shropshall | Overall ExperienceAll was good BUT the truck only had 1/4 tank of gas. This is very inconvenient and required going and getting gas at the start of the trip and then again before returning the truck. There should be a minimum level like 1/2 tank, or 3/4 tank of fuel at the time of pickup.
Tim Mastinthe truck i rented was a bit old, strange noise came from the engine (passenger side) after i started the engine. After 15min noise started diminishing and disappeared. THanks,

MICHAEL CALVANOTruck was dirty. I left my airpods accidently in the truck when I dropped it off at closing. Rushed back to get them and unfortunately an employee stolen them. The truck was not rented out after me as the place was closing. When I called to ask for assistance of any kind nobody wanted to assist. Very disappointed in UHAUL and will NEVER use their services again. I have already expressed this though social media in hopes that nobody uses them again either.

Heather Penman1. Call when a back-ordered hitch becomes available, as you promised. After a 3-month delay, I had to call to find out the hitch was in and ready to be installed. 2. Provide the parts to complete the job. Instead of providing me with a ball and ball mount that I ordered and paid for, I received a credit.Now I have to get these from somewhere else. This was after the U Haul staff member tried to sell me another ball mount and I had to show my web receipt with the parts list indicating it was already paid for.
David BirdCome up with a chart on fuel efficiency for each type of vehicle. I did a very short term , short distance rental (30 km) and yet 7 litres of fuel did not seem to make up for the fuel used according to the guage. I was not charged any more, but I felt bad that my estimate for fuel was not enough. I didn't think modern trucks were that fuel inefficient. Even some examples would be helpful i.e. "If you drive this vehicle 100 kms, you will need to add 16 ltrs of gas"
Thomas McCartneyOur reservation was changed to this location. What a cluster-fuck. The truck was terrible to drive. It needed a front end alignment bad. we didnt even make it home and the driver side windshield wiper popped off and we had to call road side assistance. The reservation was supposed to be for 2 days, we only got one. We were supposed to get 201kms in total and got much less than that.
Lynn PedersenI only have one complaint and it is a big one. When I was advised by voicemail on the 17th to call the 1-800 number because the pick up location was changing, I called that number around 4:20 that afternoon and had the most unprofessional experience of my life. The young man was polite enough but he must have had friends there because I could hear rude sounds and swearing in the background from at least two other people. I didn't say anything at the time because I assumed he would be there when we picked up and I wanted it to go smoothly. Then he asked me a couple of times if we wanted to switch our rental day from the 19th to the 18th. Uhm, NO! I was not impressed at all! The company is great, this employee not so much. When we picked up the truck, he was very polite but we weren't even out of the driveway and it looked like two of his friends going in. Not a great impression to customers. My husband's dropoff in Wallaceburg was good. The online booking was easy and good. It's too bad that one person can ruin an otherwise what would have been perfect experience. He is good at his job and very knowledgeable but he needs to keep his friends away when working.

Peter JohnstonInspect equipment when it’s returned a little closer….. my trailer has at least one tire at the wear bar. That would be an MTO ticket for me. Otherwise the trailer was good. Very handy and convenient pick up and drop off.

However when I tried to settle my account I was told that customers have been told that but it was not what was on his computer and he would look into it and get back to me As of today I have heard nothing and I have not received a credit Can you please rectify? After minutes of explaining we indeed did book, randomly there was a unit available for us... Storage also closes at 10pm so we couldn't bring stuff after rush hour.
Safiya Jorman | Overall ExperienceI have been repeatedly overcharged for my storage unit from the beginning of my account use until after I moved out. The first month promotion from Uhaul was never honoured. I have made numerous attempts to contact the Aldershot location, by phone and email and my calls were never returned over the whole 5 month period. I even waited on hold for an hour to contact Uhaul central Customer Service, they tried to get in touch with the Aldershot location, and couldn’t get a reply by phone, then they sent an email to the location, and still the Aldershot location didn’t reply to the message from Head Office Customer Service. The Aldershot location continues to charge me even after I moved out, despite my numerous emails advising them that I’d be moving out, and to stop charging me. They placed a lock on my unit, and never removed it even after I paid excessive extra charges. The lock remained in my unit long after my account was fully paid, which prevented me from moving out earlier resulting in several additional months of unnecessary storage costs. When I had paid for and arranged a moving service to move out of my storage unit, I couldn’t access my storage unit for the moving company because the Aldershot still had a lock on my storage unit. This is the worst predatory business practices I have ever seen, especially during the pandemic, and with such a large International Company like Uhaul, this is completely unacceptable. Customers of Uhaul at the Aldershot location have been leaving very Negative Reviews of the terrible customer service and overcharges at Uhaul at Aldershot. I would like Uhaul Head Office to assist me with providing a refund for all of the amounts that have been Overcharged on my account by Uhaul Aldershot. Please have Uhaul Head Office contact me to resolve the unethical business practices of the Uhaul Aldershot location and their numerous overcharges on my account.
