When I moved in the alarm system was malfunctioning and there didn't seem to be any urgency in fixing it. Also, the after hours entry system didn't work. Most of the staff was friendly, but some could have been more friendly. When I moved out, everything seemed to work fine.

Though the clerk that helped me was courteous, he said "there you go" pointing to the truck. I had never rented or driven a truck and was not aware of how to open the back, how to adjust the mirrors, etc. After getting in I noticed the gas tank was 3/4 filled, it was never mentioned to me, I got out and asked him about it. He then looked at my agreement and noted that indeed it said 3/4 full. In addition, we never checked the exterior prior to my driving away for any prior damage. BUT the worse part was on returning the truck. It was after hours and I was told to go to the U-haul website to check out...NO where was there a link to do so...so I put my keys and the ORIGINAL agreement in the box outside the building as instructed on the small sign. By doing so I was left with NO paperwork. Fortunately I took a photo with my phone. This morning I received an email with the final invoice...zero balance, great, but again no where to be seen was the amount I was billed, and I need this for my records...YIKES, can this be any more crazy???

The correct trailer was not at this location and the attent who worked with me was extremely rude and not even remotely helpful in trying to reserve the problem. Then, when we needed help hooking up the trailer we were given an extremely discourteous attitude and made to feel as though we were a nuisance. You couldn't pay me to go back to this location.

The trailer was due back by 1:00 pm. I returned the trailer at about 12:15-12:30 pm and was told I would receive a receipt by email. Never received an email receipt, but did receive a telephone call at 7:15 pm asking when I would be bringing the trailer back. I told them what time I returned it and they asked if I remembered what the person looked like who I returned it to. I told them it was the same person I rented it from, they said okay, and hung up. Lesson - go in and get a paper receipt.

The App experience was frustrating. The pictures in the App weren't current (the van now has additional yellow items attached to the back of the roof that weren't even in the pictures) but I couldn't protest the current pictures because the app was failing to take pictures and the pictures were required. This is a horrible workflow. Why couldn't I just describe the problems without pictures when the app failed to load the camera? Why were the pictures out of date?

Seems like the employees were just playing around, riding on mechanics stools, etc. Wasn't initially noticed upon walking in as they were all distracted by something in the garage. I was surprised to find that one of them was the general manager of the facility. The way that the store is set up it is difficult to see clearly to the front doors which adds to a customer not being noticed, especially if employees are not paying attention in the first place.

Better than typical. Rented shortly before closing. Trailer chains were not initially hooked up, but that was remedied quickly when pointed out. Nice to have all lights working well and good wheel bearings. Would really love to see a design improvement for the roll up door so that it couldn't catch on items in a "fully" packed trailer. Overall; able to accomplish move with no equipment issues.

Customer service is non existent at this location the truck was very dirty the green tags were already broken off the dolly and the moving blankets. The inside of the truck was very dirty and truck ran absolutely horrible it has a very bad hesitation at idle will never rent from uhaul again. And I will tell my friends and family to steer clear of uhaul.

Because of the lines I attempted to pick up via the UHaul App. Clerks were anxious that I had not completed the check in process before I even got to the vehicle which was blocked in. Telling me to complete the check in instead of offering to help. The vehicle was not clean- shirt, book, food wrappers, dirt in cargo area, so reported. I watched the clerk get a broom to sweep it out and only when I asked was I told I was getting a different van. It took 20 minutes to check out a van that I drove for 15 minutes to pick up large TV for my home. Communication between clerk and customer very poor and not customer focused.

Everything as great until I got the invoice bill the next day. I was quoted $45 and they charged me $100! They charged me for a dolly and furniture pads that I didn’t request (extra +$20), then they charged me for another day (extra +$30) when I turned in the keys on the same day 5 hours after I picked the truck up. This was very frustrating because I was trying to keep moving cost low, but rather I had to spend 20 mins of my day today trying to get back my money on the phone with support.

I mentioned my issue with the water issues on the truck and was pointed out the water resistant not water proof tag, in spite of turning in 12 water soaked blankets from destroyed mattresses, box springs and furniture. I know you need to protect yourself but really, this was my 24th move with UHaul in 40 years and probably there will not be a 25th. sad

The trailer that I picked up was full of roofing nails. As soon as I dropped the gate I had nails all over my driveway. Even after picking up as many as I could find it would drop more every time I lowered the gate.

The parking spots to return after hours were not clearly marked, it took me a while to find a spot to leave the truck. Everything else was fine.

Have an on-line service to help with flats, etc. that may happen on a trip. Make this service an optional service at a low price. This could be done through a contracted service with AAA or similar service. Old men cannot fix flats easily and may need help on the roadside. Thanks.

I was scammed on fuel which was not as indicated on contract. Vehicle was not the one originally reserved. Had to travel to different, farther, location to rent because closer more convenient location refused to take debit card though failed to state that when reservation made. The whole experience was horrible.

From the very start, the customer service ladies on the phone were extremely friendly. I had made an error which made me call back. Then, the next customer service assistant was so very friendly and guided me exactly to where I needed to go. Upon picking my truck Gilbert, and the other associate were friendly as well. There was absolutely no hassle, no issues whatsoever, and I was off before I even walked in. On return, the gentlemen asked me a few questions and said, "You are good to go sir. You should receive your receipt by email today.". And I did. Anyhow, during the holiday season Uhaul really pulled through for me (no pun intended). Thanks guys.

It doesn't help the customer service image of the company when you have 2 young men sitting while the woman at the counter is busy waiting on people. They were talking and drinking coffee and she needed to tell them to prepare the truck for me. They did not bother to count the furniture pads to ensure 12 were given to me. I had to go get them from the office to come and help me with explaining the quesitons I had about the truck and help adjust the mirrors. They were not proactive in offering to help the customer.

The floor of the trailer I rented was really filthy, I picked it up in the dark and didn't really notice how bad it was until I unpacked on the other side. Required me to wipe off luggage and furniture before moving it into the house. The availability and functionality of the trailer was reliable and got me from TX to CA without any issue. The staff at this location was great and they have reasonably priced supplies, everything you need in one stop.

It took about 20 minutes to get through the line at the counter since the line was long. It was Sat morning, probably the busiest time of the week for you. Seems like you should have had extra help for the rush. I arrived at 9:00 AM.

The online pick up process needs to be explained better in the early stages. I was already at the location when they asked me for a copy of my lease, passport or other documents. Those are not things I carry around with me. Then asking for a secondary number but not indicating that you’re going to call it right away. I gave my gf’s number who works nights and had just gotten to sleep. No wonder she didn’t answer. It took me an hour and fifteen minutes to pick up my truck

I rested a u-box. When is cam to pick it up out of storage. I was not aware that they needed 24 hour notice to get it out of storage. When checking out U-haul should inform people to avoid delays.
