Highly suggest you cut out the answering service if you want to ensure your customers are informed and satisfied. Not a good experience due to call center provider giving inaccurate information which cost client $50 in unneeded expenses.
James D.I was not made aware it would be 2 smaller storage units instead of one. When I opened both units it set off an alarm scaring me. There was also dead bees and flys inside the unit which makes me worry it’s easy to get bugs in the unit

David W. | Overall ExperienceThe rachets for the front tire straps on the trailer were almost inoperable from rust. I've had this issue before when renting a car transport trailer. Spraying the rachets with a lubricant after each rental should be part of the equipment check, if it isn't already.

The room was neat and clean and they were able to change rooms when we decided we needed a larger room. And because we rented a truck we got an extra month of free storage on top of the initial free month we had because we had rented a truck to drive up from Florida. Very pleased with the service.

The other employees I've working with at this location have also been very helpful I just don't know all of their names, unfortunately. I have worked with Tara in the past and she is also professional, helpful and great to work with. This location's employees are a definite asset to U-Haul!!!

The pictures that were sent of the condition of the truck we not current they were several days old. I took new pictures to ensure that the pictures were exactly the actual condition of the truck when I was picking it up. It seem3ed to be a big deal that I wanted accurate documentation of the condition of the truck. This location is convenient to where I was moving from and near friend's It wasn't a pleasant experience picking up or dropping off the truck. I do not like how you now have pads and hand trucks attached inside the truck as it took space away from utilizing inside the truck

Theodore J.The staff were friendly and helpful, but didn't follow through with what they said. This created several issues with getting more boxes and having them be on the same order. Plus, when more boxes were ordered, I told them I did not need any more furniture pads. When the additional boxes came, there were so many pads that I didn't need. I was told my choice was to bring 2-3 dozen heavy bags of pads to Uhaul or ship them with the containers. As my car had already shipped, I had no choice. I ended up shipping a Ubox half filled with unused furniture pads. Because of that, not getting accurate guidance on the number of boxes I needed, the extra cost and confusion with adding more boxes, I'm would not recommend Ubox

ADIL K.Uhaul did an excellent job! Managed to give me dates for delivery and pickup (both locations) that worked with my schedule. Staff on the phones and in-person were pleasant and efficient. They really know what they are doing moving those boxes around! For delivery and pickup, they had to put chains on their forklift vehicle due to ice and snow. No problem for them! Service could not have been better - day or two before I got calls to confirm action, and timely followup on day something was going to be done. I would definitely recommend them. I went from VT to WA in the winter, so they had some challenges!

Stephen N.I have not rented a truck in a long time so I did not know what to expect but my experience at this Bedford, NH U-Haul location was a positive one. I work in Merrimack so this large "Hub" for a U-Haul location is very convenient for me. Both Sam M. and Krista L were very helpful, professional, and polite! That being said it is obvious that they are short handed at their location and they are both doing the work of multiple people so give them a bit of a break and be patient and all will go well! The 26ft Ford F650 box van that I rented had a bit of an intermittent hop in the drivers side wheel/tire assy. so I suspect a tire balance/wheel issue and I mentioned it to Sam so they could take a look at it. Other than that the truck did the trick for what I needed it for. My only wish would be a lower cost per mile rate!!!!! Thanks Again- Steve N Deerfield, NH

I would think by now a company that rents trucks should sell straps that are actually able to hold cargo in place on to the strapping in the body of ghe trucks ??? Also the I haul app is outdated and not kept up to record - three occasions now have had problems with reservations since I began using the app — only a few months ago - this morning a truck I reserved for two days on line was not available for two days — and needed to be returned today — twice I have reserved a truck and arrived at the location and no trucks were available at all — one time a truck was reserving in Bedford NH was reserved in Bedford Ohio - ??

I rented the truck and was told it had less than a 1/4 talk of gas, so i would need to stop at a gas station right away 2. The truck was filthy, (steering wheel and seats were sticky) I had to pull over and clean the inside of the windshield just so i could see safely 3. There was no ramp to bring items into the truck, after i rented it i was told this is standard?? I would like a refund on this rental, it was not even close to satisfactory
fred M.Only thing I forgot to note when I dropped the tow dolly off. The air pressure was very low in one of the tires. 19psi. The other side was over 50psi. Had someone not pointed it out to me... I might have had a tire blow out on the ride back with the car. I did pump it up over 40psi before the battery in my pump ran out.

Robert M.We returned our truck with gas above the amount it was given to us. Stupidly on our part, we allowed the employee to check our truck without us waiting while they checked in other trucks before us. I later saw they charged us a gas refill fee when we both know for a fact the gas wasn't below the level given to us. In over a decade of renting from uhaul this has never happened and when we called to ask about it, they wouldn't budge on it. Even though we only drove 12 miles with it as proven on their end, and have proof of receipt of the 3 gallons of gas we put into it. They still somehow said we had to pay for 2 more gallons of gas and a refill fee. Take a picture with a time stamp of your gas level and stand there and wait for them to check your vehicle return. I won't return to this location ever again.

I did not speak rudely of get angry in any way was just trying to understand why the truck did that and then was asking if I could get a final cost but was told that I needed to go to the email. I find that an inconvenience if I have questions about my charges I like U-haul and have used them in the past with not a problem , so if your company has changed its courtesy police I would be greatly disappointed ☹️

I explained that a second floor unit would not work and that I had a first floor unit reserved. I was told that there were no other available units along with a sarcastic comment from the employee that he couldn't just move someone else out of there unit to make one available. I told him to cancel my reservation and walked out.

RAYMOND M. | First ImpressionsStored track car and trailer outside but under cover. Pigeons everywhere and the staff really didn't seem to care. While well lit and probably cameras, no gate to speak of to get it and out so one has to really make sure everything was locked up. So access was easy not only for me, but for someone who may have more nefarious interests. I was charged for my rental on the 27/28 of the month and moved out on the 31st and really not sure why there was no credit considering I was paying $245/month - started at $235 but of course they raised the cost. Not only that but I was promised a "reserved" space INSIDE but when I came back 2 weeks later to move in, wonder of wonders, I was told no, we don't reserve those spots so it wasn't available. Oh, and for 1/2 of my stay there, the promised electricity available so I could battery tender the battery in my track car was non-existent because I was told the breaker kept tripping on that circuit and no one had fixed it yet. For $245/month, I'd expect a lot better and CLEANER accomodations.

The reservation was canceled 5 days prior to my informed move in date when the employee who set it up informed it would be kept for a week. Then when called the employee moved me in these 5 days early which started payment instead of being moved in on my informed date and payment beginning then. The need of a second or third reference is ridiculous. If I am renting a unit, why would I need anyone in relation to me to be involved. Especially with giving all information at the start and setting up payments. There is no need for this when renting a vehicle or a home so why it is required for something so trivial is not comprehensible.

Through out life we all meet lots of people and go to lots of businesses, if you want to experience the best customer service 24/7 365 I recommend you go to uhaul in Bedford NH, it’s 5 minutes south of 293/101 and 25 seconds off route 3 ( exit 13) thank you to the staff for always being there for me whether it’s to rent a trailer or to keep my boat safe.

One was the offer that rent a storage get the first month for free, another one was offered by the staff who said if I pay one year in full I can get another month for free after one year rent. Then I paid the one year in full. On Nov 6 2022, I passed by the facility and double checked if I will get the second month for free before next payment. A staff found a note in their system, which said because I paid in full I get another month for free and next payment should be in Jan 14 2023. She told me “no worries, if you are charged on Dec 14 2022, just give us a call and we will issue a refund for you”. Therefore, I called the facility after I was charged on Dec 14. HOWEVER, the manager of the facility refused to refund and said they never offered the second month for free and they didn’t find any note regarding it in the system!!!! The staff and the manager in the facility cheated on my money together!!! This is really ridiculous! Shame on them.

When I drilled and was unsuccessful I went back to the office where the manager for the day named Sam, arrived in a very nasty attitude looked in her computer and said someone messed up and that it was not in fact my unit, then told me I had to pay for the lock, after an employee of hers told me to drill it! Absolutely rude and made their problem become my problem! If I didn’t have a trailer load of stuff to unload I would’ve driven away and gone to blue bird next door. I will not be recommending this place due to the managers attitude and inability to problem solve.

Hubert H. | Overall ExperienceI don't understand why it is possible to make a reservation for indoor storage on a certain date, but then when that date approaches be told "sorry, unless someone moves out, you won't have a spot where you reserved." The person on the national reservation line confirmed that yes, I would have a reserved spot on that day, but the person at the store said that isn't true, those reservations really are only a priority in case a vacancy opens up. Should be clear about this on the national reservation line. I went with an outdoor spot instead, since that was what they had available.

After leaving Manchester I found rat feces all over my unit and also I had to go through all my boxes about 30 of them and found phases in my clothes. I know they will rat feces because the person that was helping me was a real estate agent and was totally freaked out about having to work with me after seeing that. I want the fee at Manchester New Hampshire unit of unit 2824 waved as a result. I had to move because I had a brain tumor I couldn't afford their fees and their service was horrible. Brittany did wave late fees for me to try her best to help me with the excessive fees

When we went to the facility to check in and get our unit number we were told by a lady that they didn’t have any of those left. Thankfully, Cameron stepped in and found 2 units for us- a 10x10 and a 10x5. Although they are note a drive up unit (they are 2 separate units inside on the second floor) we were relieved that Cameron did what he could to help us. We don’t know why you would take a reservation for a unit and then not have it for us when we come with a full truck and a full car and then tell us there aren’t any available. It was a very stressful experience and we will not be recommending this facility to anyone. We were very impressed by Cameron and his effort to help us and ensure a place for us to store our belongings.

We were one day over our pay date and had to pay for a full month, while the units were then available for someone else to rent and U-Haul to potentially receive double payment while their customer is left feeling taken advantage of. While the individual facility was a good experience, Uhaul’s policies left us with a bad taste in our mouth on our way out, which we will share with others who use UHaul in order to help them save. Not a very customer centered practice.

I ask them why the website stated that their was still one room available and they mention the website was incorrect. I was then forward to the Bedford site and the general manager (Malissa) was extremely help and we where able to find a room. I rate the Bedford site Excellent but for the Nashua branch I would rate as average. All I ask that if the website states that a room is available and I reserve it, then the room should be their when I get to the site.

Etienne t. | First ImpressionsI accidentally left my unit “locked open“. It was noticed by staff, who put an additional lock on the unit to alert me the next time I went in. But my unit was completely unlocked all that time, and I didn’t realize it. No one called me. My phone number and email are on file. My alarm card was never set up properly. When I open my unit, the alarm with sound. I heard the alarm siren sounding many times while I was in the office and in the storage area, but it didn’t seem too illicit any response from anyone. The main door, which is supposed to be accessible with the security card, was completely unlocked when I moved in and when I visited yesterday. There’s not much use of a fancy security system if it’s not being used properly OR even gives the impression to customers that the facility is not secure.
