I got and paid for the unit at one location but had to go to a different location a mile away for the storage itself. I also wasn’t happy with the 30 dollar one day late fee. Overall I was pleased with the staff and availability hours.

The young men working at this location were friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is extremely clean and well maintained both inside and outside. The courtesy carts are appreciated. It was inconvenient that the app only gave the storage location with no mention that the contract and such would need to be signed at a different location, but that's not the young men's fault.

When I reserved my 10×10 I was good. GPS took me to the wrong place to enter storage facility. Got there at 7:20. Truck was due back at 9. Talked to customer service and they said the only way I could unload my thing was to get a 10×20 unit with mobile check in. So I did it for 80 more than the original. Got into facility and the unit had a lock on it. Could not unload. Had to pay an additional 69 dollar to keep the truck till morning when I could unload. So in all I had to pay 150 dollars more for nothin. I should have just waited. Called the customer service back and they did not try to help at all. I personally feel I should be reimbursed the 150. All would have been fine if the lock want on the unit as it should have been Iike I was told/read. But I had no choice but to keep the unit and the truck and pay. Not a good experience at all

You continued to raise the rent, once without notice. Not sure why the rent was increased as the facility is not being taken care of. There was trash though out the place & someone dumped their items on the outside of the storage & no one cleaned it up. I was wondering why they he price increased if you are not doing the regular maintenance on the site.

I had issues with the times that I was allowed to get in. Its very misleading when it says 24/7 . service. But overall the guys that helped me out when I was late were great. The one guy on 51st and Glendale with the goat tee always a great help and I think him for all his support through my hard times.

They were super helpful and accommodating, one tip I learned is if you rent other equipment it is stored inside the gas station they no longer leave the hand truck in the trucks anymore like I haul used to not a big deal just something to note. Everything was super easy the entire process and clean and helpful!!

My unit was broken into by “third party “ as stated by Repwest. Despite paying for insurance monthly nothing was covered or compensated. I can’t refer Uhaul storage as my belongings were not secure they were stolen and I was not compensated. Very disappointed with Repwest and the surveillance system at the storage. I was not given proper notice until I went to vacate the unit in January 2023. The break in took place in September 2022. Items can’t be replaced and these items were from an estate of a loved one who passed away. Thinking about this ordeal is sickening and sad. Over $2000 paid to uhaul and my property was not in safe keeping.

I reserved a 10x20 unit and used a previous Uhaul reservation to get a month free. When I showed up to pay I was told they couldn't honor the free month and was not given a straight answer. I was told I could get a 10x15 though. I went with it but was very frustrated that what I reserved online. I hope all my stuff fits in the smaller one

Everyone that I worked with in regard to my storage unit was very helpful. I had to go from a smaller unit to a bigger unit because I had too much stuff. I was able to make a simple phone call and have that adjusted.

The storage staff is not helpful or friendly at all. In addition they gave me a free month then later charged me and a late charge. I showed them my receipt from them in hopes they would fix it. They said they can’t give money back after it’s been paid. The GM never returned any calls or emails.

I've been trying to get ahold of someone for 3days about obtaining extended access to my storage the internet says 24 hours which is the only reason I chose it but that was not true access ends at 7pm I get off at 6-630 and commute 30min home I can't move in and need extended access but cat get ahold of anyone I have all my belongings in the truck rental I'm now three days late on and nowhere to move it into

The hours are very inconvenient! Says 24 hour access to your storage but that was not true! I could not access my storage past 5:00 PM which was not convenient at all because you work average job and get off at 4 PM you only have an hour to get to your storage before the whole lot is close. Over paid on a small unit that I could never access after 5 o’clock.

So for starters, when I started this reservation I also purchased a 10" box truck. Online it showed that I qualified for a free month on my storage unit that I purchased I believe the exact same day. Well I never got that free month because they chose not to honor it for whatever reason. Next I ran into an issue because of the stupid lock I purchased from inside their store was defective! I ended up going 2 months without any access to my belongings inside. When I contacted them to find out what could be done I was told I had to pay out of pocket for a locksmith and that was the only option. I should not have been responsible for a locksmith which cost over 200$ when it was not my fault nor neglegence. The lock I purchased from them was defective and because it was defective my key ended up breaking off into it. I would never rent anything from this location again. I've always used U-Haul for my moving needs but after the experience with this location, I'm reconsidering altogether.

No management on site, only on call. When we went to check in to our unit the exterior doors didn't open, another customer had to show us the "trick" of pulling a broken handle backwards to get in. One of our cards for gate access wouldn't work either. We noticed a prostitute using a unit for her "business" - she may even live in a unit. Two drug deals in the parking lot in daytime, can only imagine what night looks like. We cancelled our contract within 24 hours after witnessing all of this. Representative at rental office on Glendale and 51st was wonderful and great customer service from Tomicca, but we would not recommend this area.

It was nearly impossible to ever get ahold of the office staff that was for my storage unit. I could usually only speak with people at the call center. I requested call backs and responded to emails from the office but never heard back from them. I would not recommend U-Haul and especially this location to anyone.

Was first booked a storage unit and given a link to self check in so I thought it'd be an easy day, we get to our location, link doesn't work, office is closed so we come back the next day and try to talk to front desk lady, she can't find our reservation, then tells us we can't move in due to construction and then tells us we have to wait til 5 and can't at least check us in so we can come back later and move in. I call Customer Service and the clerk is helpful and helps us find another unit, front desk at the new unit is helpful, but this ended up delaying us a full day on our travel plans. We still had to travel back to Cali for some stuff we had to do and this experience set us back on our timeline.

Adam was tired and cranky when we came in and made it known to us when we asked him how he was doing he responded “I’m breathing.” He gave our initial reservation away to another customer which caused us to have to go up in unit and in our budget of what we could pay. He did not honor the first month free when using a uhaul truck until I started to call corporate office to report it. My husband use to work for uhaul and told him “this isn’t how you do things” and informed him that he is not giving the store a good face to the name.

The young gentleman who helped me in the store was extremely busy. Since he was the only one who was working. I couldn't get a hold of anyone who worked at this location on the phone. After sending an email it took 2 days to hear back from the manager get my storage situation taken care of. Reason why I didn't go inside the store was because I was out of town getting ready for my move to Arizona from California. I personally wouldn't work with a company that I couldn't get a hold of directly. Answer to #4 was base on the poor guy working alone with lots of customers who were patiently waiting to be helped. But if it was regarding anything else I would give it 0

It advertises 24 hour access but when I get there, it’s only 7am - 7pm! What???! That’s my work day! How am I to access anything? If you need to close at night then that’s what needs to be advertised. And it should be 6 am to midnight or something more user friendly.

When I signed the paperwork I choose this storage facility because it said that it was 24/7 access. My husband and I work during the day and come at night to work on his job related inquiries and my hobbies. I would not have gone through this storage facility being that it is further from my home then others, if it was not 24-7 access. The manager Enrique told us that be had to be out by 7pm one night, I told him that the paperwork that I electronically signed and the website said 24-7 access. He said that the website was wrong. I don't see how uhaul would do false advertising. I feel like we should contact our lawyer about this issue if we are not able to have the 24-7 access issue resolved.

A complete waste of my time... Too small for my particular usage. Rented in conjunction with a trailer rental... I'm moving cross country, not cleaning out my junk drawer! Never a mention or question of my needs (in sales terms: UPSELL?). Associate couldn't care less about me as a customer...

The only issue is we were given a unit and no lock!! We almost got locked in at the storage unit because once we unloaded we had to go back to the office location to get a lock with only minutes to spare!! We selected this location because the website states it has 24 hr access which is untrue it's only until 7pm!! That's a VERY big difference. :( Unit was clean and also the complex.

Very difficult to close out our storage units and the staff was of no help making it easier. We tried to close out but they wanted proof we moved our stuff out which the unit and office was at two different locations so it was very bothersome and they had there locks on it because we were late by a week so we couldn't access the units to show proof. They went after us with late fees and a fine and are currently trying to auction off our empty units. There system is very messed up and i hope this helps someone with avoiding this location and try and find a place that has the storage at the same site of the office

Upon entering you have people with reservations and those without, there is no expedite of service for those clients. People that scheduled in advance had to wait and scheduled in advance was to only hold the vehicle evidently as it seems the ones with reservations would have priority of some sort or separate line as the line was out the door. Also with having two locations, there is no access to someone to address issues. I called and got the call center. When I arrived at the storage there was a lock on the unit. I had to get back in 20ft truck and drive back down using my gas due to all calls routing to call center. It was frustrating because of the limited hours and it wasted time.. Hours for weekend move are too tight for a self storage facility. The counter people were ok, nothing that was above and beyond just doing there job. I did an apology for the long wait. I also thought I would have 24/7 access, but that isn't the case. It is the reason I selected uhaul.

I would of liked to be given heads up about the access hours being limited. It created an inconvenience because the online advertisement stated it was 24/7 access. We are moving out of state therefore we were looking for a storage unit with access anytime and day. If I was given that important piece of information I would of looked at a different company. I was informed at check in which was too late to even look for another company. I will never booked with uhal again.

Had to get i. Touch with staff had to go on glendale and 51st to get staff help . Over all everything was clean . I DID NOT APPRECIATE THEM SENDING ME EMAILS SAYING THEY AUCTIONED OFF MY PROPERTY 10/2020 THEN I CALLED SEE IF I CAN BUT MY PROPERTY THE GIRL SAID WAS AUCTIONES AT 8AM . THEN I WAS PUT THREW TRAUMA MY BABY PICTURES AND TROPHIES GONE AND 10 /2021 GOT CALL SAYING I CANT. BY MY PROPERTY WAS NEVER SOLD . A WHOLE YEAR LATER I ASKED WHY NO ONE EVER CALL TO NOW . I tried for 3 weeks to cancel my unit with nobody answering the phone or letting me know what to do, which made me get charged for an extra month. One person did answer and they said it was canceled before I got a bill saying I was in pre collection. Terrible communication.

The first time I went in to buy a lock the employees were nice. The second time I went in to pay my reservation the young lady did not seem very friendly at all. She seemed irritated. The 3rd time I went in the employees were very friendly and happy to assist me.

The storage unit itself is clean but you guys aren't open for 24hr Unless you pay for it so you should put that open 24 hours or open from whatever hours you operate because that's the one that matters. There is no office there to contact or to get any help you have to go to a different facility to get any help. Your location for u-haul pick up staff staff is very rude not helpful at all don't even say Hi to customers when they come in and they're just staring at the computers. They talk to you like we're inconvenient them.

Overall my experience with U-Haul was a very good one. The office hours were very convenient. The staff was there till 7 pm which is a perfect time for those of us who get out at 6. The staff was always courteous and always willing to answer any questions I had. I had 24 hr access to my storage which was very convenient when I needed to get something late at night. The price for the storage was very reasonable. I defaulted on my rent a few months and they worked with me to be able to keep my belongings. I would absolutely recommend U-Haul to family and friends. Thanks again. Great experience.

My unit was robbed of some very obvious items, easily spotted on camera, yet the uhaul employees/management did not care. I had 3 dirtbikes, 3 tvs, keyboard, leaf blower amongst many other items stolen, yet they were unwilling to check cameras. They Instead sent 70+ hours of footage for police to review when we knew a date and time frame the incident happened. Since they sent so much footage to police, were unable to dedicate an officer to sit and watch all the footage as it took up too much time. Therefor people got away with stealing my items, my kids dirtbikes. As a business owner, I would not want people stealing from my customers on my property and would assist in catching the criminals. There are gate codes, cameras, and distinctive items were removed. This should have been a simple task to find who stole my items. Never again will I rent from Uhaul! I have already gotten a new unit with a new company and can already see the difference in security for their customers. As such a large company uhaul should do better. I will tell everyone this horror story to ensure no others have to deal with such a poor ran company. I have seen multiple posts on FB from others (not only at the same location but also in other states) dealing with similar situations and uhaul failing to care for their customers. This is a problem that needs solving.

They wasted couple hrs of my time while waiting in the heat for them to come get lock off unit that i had paid for. Bad enough everyone talked to told wanted to rent truck for 1 day, & utilize free month storage if available. Was told 'oh sure, no problem'. Not! So, fine, i pay for unit, but cant get in, so i call from call button at gate (no office on site) so after left on hold in direct sun for about 15-20 mins, then hung up on, so called back, half hr later, 1 of the 3 girls working shows up w|key 2remove lock....but key doesnt work. So she leaves, (to get right key, but according 2girl 'its the right key, just doesn't work' ok sure) so different girl comes w|another key....gee almost 2hrs later, finally able to get into unit to unload truck so can return on time. No, I will never recomend using thier truck rental & free month storage again to anyone & definitely not use the 51st ave & glendale location (& 51st|northern managed by glendale office. (Yet no 1 tells u that before u show up at location @northern, to be told 'oh u have to come to office on glendale'. They wasted my brother & I time (half day w|all bs merry go round) & $. But they can refill ur bbq tank just fine so gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Best storage facility I have ever seen. Very clean. Staff very professional and very helpful and very friendly. Have not dealt with a better staff than the one at Glendale and 51st Ave. was very frustrated with trying to contact through 1800-uhaul. You need to take a day off of work to prepare for the hours you will sit on hold trying to contact someone. Also, 1800 uhaul would be linked more or have better information. Tried getting a 2nd unit and was told by 1800 Uhaul that none available at 4950 Northern location. So they gave me another unit all the way on the other side of town. Went to Northern Ave location early in morning when it opened, I saw 6 units with the green tags on ready for rental. Also for 2nd unit, I called night before to get a 5x10 unit and held with credit card. Showed up next day to where 1800 uhaul sent me, (totally on other side of town from first unit) and was told they don’t have any 5x10’s. If I knew I would have to pay over a hundred dollars more for a much larger and air conditioned unit, I would have made other arrangements. Not cool when you show up with loaded truck expecting to get what you had reserved not even 24 hrs later. I love the location at 51st and Glendale, I will however try other options first so I don’t have to wait on phone for 2 or 3 hours a day trying to ask a simple question. Still waiting for general manager to call us back from 4 days ago. Only bad thing about storage unit at Northern Ave, they close at 7 and at 5 on Sundays. I work for a living, when you get done working at 5pm, and sit in traffic for an hour, you cannot get anything moved unless you take a day off.

I had some issues with being double charged for my unit then the charge being double reversed then charged a couple more times. Every time I tried to reach the office, I was never able to and it would send me to the main customer call center after at least 10 minutes. They were able to help me after about 4 phone calls but I wish it would have been an easier process.

The first unit I was assigned online had someone else's lock. I had to walk a mile to get another unit assigned after spending an hour waiting for someone from the office to come to the facility. The customer phone support was a joke. People were rude and hung up on me....it was a nightmare. When I got to corporate location the manager took no responsibility.

Every single time I went to the office to deal with Koty, I knew there was going to be a problem that would require more of my time and frustration. She never disappointed me. I put up with her nastiness because of convenience and price point, but when roaches started appearing, I switched storage companies. I deal in fine art and antiquities and have storage units in five different states. Given my experience here, I won't bother to deal with U-haul again.

Entire system was down when I arrived after driving 2,000 miles. Was refused my storage unit, leaving me no choice but leave my full trailer at uhaul facility. The next day no would answer the phones. Upon going back to uhaul, the staff informed me I’d have to load up the trailer and go to another location as they couldn’t fulfill my reservation. 10/10 horrible service.

I was seven minutes past closing time, arrived at the location of the office to get my key card, and settle the first month's rent. At that time, they told me they put away the keys, and could not help me. It would have taken 10 minutes tops. Literally. This setback put me at liquidated damages for fulfilling my promise to the landlord that I would be moved out, and to the roommates at my old house another couple hours that they could have been working at home productively. I had multiple interactions that led to these problems that now surmount me. I cannot go back to the residence now because of an order of protection against me, needlessly put on by the roommate at the homeowner's request to get me out. I have to hire people to clean my old room out, and to deliver my stuff somewhere else at the expense of my security deposit. This is the wirst experience I've ever had moving in my life.

you cut off our lock, put on one of your own and never contacted us to let us know. After your lock was put on our unit was robbed and the insurance we took through haul was denied because of no damage to the lock. That tells me someone there had a key and uhaul could not care less. If I ever know someone who is thinking of using your facility I will tell them to go elsewhere.

We have been renting parking space #17. Someone has broken into our camper that was parked there. This would have happened anytime from 11/24/2020 to 12/27/2020. I called the location and spoke with a team member there and told her our covers for the propane tanks and batter cover were missing and someone tried to take the propane assembly. She gave me the phone number of the GM and said to call them tomorrow (Monday 12/28/2020) because they were off today (Sunday 12/27/2020) and she would leave a message for the GM about the incident. Once we got off the phone, I noticed they also broke into the camper. They pushed the sliding window open and broke the screen to get in. They made a mess looking for something. It appears all our belongings are still there. Thank goodness we do not leave anything in the camper. I tried calling the location again after multiple attempts I gave up and called the GM and left a voicemail. We have noticed a lot of "questionable" people lingering at this storage location and now we know our personal belongings are not safe or protected there. Our personal property has been stolen and broken into; we will no longer store our belongings at this U-Haul location. As of 12/29/2020 I have yet to received any phone call or email from anyone about this incident.

This would have been a GREAT experience if it weren’t for this location not being staffed! I started renting my unit here when it was still Extra Space Storage, before U-Haul bought them out. When I got the letter that my storage is now with U-Haul I didn’t mind. The facility was always safe, secure, clean, climate controlled, and well lit. But there’s a sign on the office door telling you to go to their 51st Ave and Glendale location. This whole unstaffed facility has REALLY been a HUGE pain. The worst of it though was when I was moving out! Because it’s unstaffed and after the Glendale location had already closed, I had to do an online move out request. Which was the worst mistake! I moved out on the 4th. Rent was due on the 8th. So on the 10 I get an email telling me I’m late paying my Bill. So I call the Glendale location and he tells me he sees my request and isn’t sure why it hasn’t been verified. So he puts me on hold and we get disconnected. But unfortunately it was then after the time they close so I had to wait until the next day. Next day I get an email saying they’ve now assessed a late fee to me. So I then had to sit on hold with U-Haul for ANOTHER half an hour. Just to be told “oh we got your request and the fees will drop off.” ALLLLLL of this headache would have never happened if the office was staffed.

The staff is disrespectful and doesn't care about the customer's needs or concerns. Facility has been robbed at least weekly with nothing done to secure or fix the issues. Their are many people who are living in their units. My storage was robbed and I had a security camera right under my door and nothing was done as the thief's where removing all my items, they had all the time in the world to steal my stuff. Then when I went to file an insurance claim, it was denied because the incomptant maneger/owner messed up my paperwork. And when i asked him to tell the insurance company it was his error he gave excuses so i was never compenstated for my loss. The whole staff is not qulified to run that facility, the insite manager is a female with two kids who is luving thier not to be a the onsite persin to deal with the issues that come up be as charity frim the owner to have a place to live the who operatiin their is flwed and wothless i wouldnt reccomened that place even if it was the last storage in the world

Though the facility was nice, the online reservation I made three days before move in said there would be a lock inside the unit when we got there. There wasn’t. I went to the office and there was no one there. The office is being renovated and if you need any assistance you have to drive up the street to another Uhaul facility. There are no signs or communication posted about this. I was lucky to track down a helpful maintenance guy to get this info. I called the office up the street and they would not bring us a lock, we had to drive or walk the mile + to get it. It was a 116 degree day in Phoenix and we only had a 26 foot moving truck with a car trailer attached. Very inconvenient. The woman in the office did not apologize and said there should have been a lock in there if we made an online reservation. Well there wasn’t and that was rude customer service. Anyone I’ve spoken to on the Uhaul hotline has been super kind and helpful but this facility seems to have some communication issues. Another customer also complained there was no lock in their unit after making an online reservation as well.

The only complaints I have was: 1. could never get anyone by phone 2. Went online to cancel storage (moved out) and continued to get emails and letter stating was late on payment. Called U-haul 3 times to verify that i moved out 2 days before due date on line and was still getting charged. After the 4th time it was finally corrected. Waist of my time and yours. Need better control for your website.

When I rented the storage unit, only one person was working Elizabeth (she was great). I called first and was put on hold and then drove to the office and said that I was the one on hold. she said she was sorry. When I checked out the person behind the counter asked a few questions and never mentioned to me that it is not pro-rated so if I move out today instead of the 26th of June there would be no refund, as she said they do not do that. I'm sure it was in my contract somewhere however it would have been nice for me to make that decision not her. She was not very friendly either

I didn't actually go in facility face to face, I did all my paperwork online and moved in early next morning before office hours opened. But I did have to call the facility the day before to make sure my reservation worked (online said it didn't go through) and that staff was super friendly and helpful. Even the issue with my paperwork going all wonky it was still a really easy experience and I liked it! Very clean, and nice units which is a BIG thing for me. Love the carts they provide as well without having to go thru rentals and such.
