They charged me $25 for fuel when they never went over the truck with me. I went 5 miles the fuel gauge didn't move. They were supposed yo ge open at 11. They didn't get there until 1. Then he tells me my reservation was canceled. I got the email the sane day that I reserved the truck, called back and he said as long as it was in his system I was good. Had the truck less than a hour and was charged $110. Never dealing with Uhaul again. $19.95 truck my ass.

I went to this place to return the truck. They immediately met me outside and told me to take it to BP up the street because they didn't have space for it. I wasted miles going to the BP. Once I got there, they told me they could not take it because I had not previously put this as the drop off location. I then went back to True Tires&Brakes. They came outside again and told me I could not leave it. Then proceeded to tell me somewhere else I could take it . I refused and placed the keys in the drop box. This customer service was absolutely ridiculous! I highly recommend you stop using this place as a uhaul servicer!

This was not the location I requested. I made a reservation 10 days in advance and this location was 30 minutes from my house that they changed at the last minute. I requested NO extra insurance when I made the reservation and was charged an extra $28 for it. When I picked up the truck the man could not remove the charges for that. I also was supposed to pick the truck up at 11:00 and he did not even get there until 11:30. So now I've been charged for something I declined when I made the reservation online, I also had to drive a total of an hour out of the way to get the truck. My last experience in December 2021 was great. I didn't even receive a printout of anything to carry with me or sign while I was driving the truck. Not a good experience at all.

I am writing this complaint for Reservation #26582605 that I will send to 768004_AFM@uhaul.com as well. I have used U-Haul Services on several occasions with which I have been relatively pleased; however, my experience with U-Haul reps December 27 and December 28 were horrific. I reserved a 10 ft truck days prior to my expected move for December 27. On December 27, I read an email that my pick up location had been change to a location that was 50 miles beyond Columbia, SC, the location for pick-up. After several conversations with U-Haul reps, I was afforded a 15 ft truck at a Rosewood location in Columbia, my destination point. Upon arriving, the rep had to call his manager or U-Haul to complete this transaction at a location that is poorly kept. I did not receive the opportunity to sign nor was I given a new contract. He said that it would be e-mailed to me. In my original contract that I made online for the 10 ft truck, I DID NOT request safemove. I did add the lost key protection. I dropped the truck off at the Moncks Corner location at approximately 8:00pm the same day. I checked my email to complete the sign out, but the total of 183.00 was incorrect. I called December 27 that night, but did not receive any response. The next day at approximately 8:30am-9:05am i spoke to several very rude, inconsiderate U-Haul reps who just became progressively more rude. The fifth representative kept telling me to hang out and call back, which I refused to do. Cynthia, is the name she gave me, and she told me that she spoke to the U-Haul rep in Columbia on Rosewood Drive and that he stated that I accepted the SafeMove fee by saying "Better Safe than Sorry." He or she was lying. He never spoke to me about the contract or fees. I had 2 other individuals with me at the time who can attest to this. "Cynthia" told me that she believed him because I had gotten Safemove in the past, which is a poor excuse and a horrible thing to say to a customer. She proceeded to tell me that there was nothing that U-Haul could do to remove this fee or the fact that $20,00 would be added because I did not check out. The truck was not due back until December 30; I returned it the very same day to my designated location. I did not check out December 27 because the final fee was incorrect. When I would not hang up the phone, this sales rep told me- "Well you can just listen to this on-hold music," and she did as she said for another 5-7 minutes. She then came back on and demanded that I hang the phone up. I refused, and she said at this point, that she would disconnect the call, which she proceeded to do. I find this offensive and appalling, I did not initiate the second or replacement contract, nor did I approve the added Safemove. If I gladly added it myself in the past, why would I have an issue with it this f\time. The answer is simple-I DID NOT approve for wanted it added. I know an establishment cannot control each individual who it employs, but the U-Haul employees were poorly trained, inconsiderate, rude and disrespectful. I know there is an overwhelming number of rude acts each day, but some of us still expect at least common decency and customer courtesy at a minimum.

When I arrived at my reservation pick-up time, the guy was not there and I had to call the number for him to come and give me the keys to the truck. There was no communication about the process and the customer service was terrible. I was told by cooperate the day before that the first location could load my car onto the trailer after i picked it up at the second location but the guy told me he couldnt so i had to quickly figure out how i was going to get my car to the second location which caused a lot of anxiety. He also told me that i would be billed at the second location and then i found out that i was billed at the first location but after already being under stress, it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. He also did not walk me through the process and was terrible with communication when i tried to ask questions about the process. I also had asked for a 10 foot truck but was given a 15 foot the day before i was supposed to pick the truck up.

The location's proximity to my apartment and my new house was perfect. There is not adequate space to turn the truck around. I had to drive down the side street and back into someone's yard to turn around. The truck was basically on the side of the street when we arrived. The parking lot will not fit more than four sedans. No room for trucks that size.

The customer service didn't exist. I have been 2.30 pm I already paid on line no one was available. They spent 20 min find my order plus I went to an other locations for the truck hand and pad.

The truck was smelly and there were ants crawling all over the vehicle. The ants were not noticeable until I started the engine and they crawled out of every air vent. I was able to get the smell out by simply rolling the windows down. The truck was also missing a windshield wiper on the passenger side. Again not something a customer would typically look for until it starts raining - which it did as soon as I left the parking lot.

Didn't have a great feeling about leaving it there. The key return box was attached to a fence. Seems like it could easily be ripped off. Overall, place looked sketchy.

I had to pick up the key without the location being opened. There was no secured option to leave the lock. I had to throw the lock through the iron screen where the tires are stored.
