The man that works at the Exxon is very rude. I also cleaned the u-haul after use, and he still charged me a cleaning fee.
ADAM APrior to my rental, a friend mentioned they had a bad experience where the attendant attempted to tamper with the ending mileage to make more money off the rental. I was hesitant on using them, but unfortunately this location was the only one that had a van available that day, so I reluctantly chose to do business with them. I had the most difficult time understanding the gentleman. I felt embarrassed how many times I had to ask him to repeat himself. I pretty much gave up. So I finally get to my van and it's filthy inside and out. He had the nerve to say there's a cleaning fee. Let's just say I took pictures and did not clean a thing. I requested a dolly during my online reservation and in person and there was no dolly. I was charged for it however. When I brought it to his attention, he made it seem like it was my fault I didn't get the dolly. This is not how you treat paying customers. After returning the van I got my bill and what do you know, the charge for the dolly was still there. I don't recommend this location, but if you're stuck with them for whatever reason, takes pictures of everything and read the contract/check receipt to make sure you're not being over charged.
HILARY MIt is possible I overlooked the message from Uhaul but I would let customers know the check-in process takes a little while and could cut into your rental time. I paid for 2 hours and only get 1 hour and 20 minutes of usage since the check in and verification process took almost 30 minutes.

BRENDA PI returned my U-Haul on Sunday and they did not process the return until Tuesday. The employee called me and asked when I was going to return the U-Haul and I stated I returned it 3 days ago. Not organized.
JONATHAN VOnly had one person working the gas station, told me to bring in the pads and basically provided terrible service. Also wanted to charge me extra for the one pad missing from a never opened bag provided by the previous station.
MONFORD RDue to the workers also being clerks at the convenience store, can't say it was a quick process. But both men I worked with were very friendly and professional. Just wish the location was less hectic.
ANDREW CI recently rented a U-Haul from this location, which is a small gas station with a slow-running computer. When I picked up the truck, I noticed that the check engine light was on and immediately informed the clerk. The clerk stated that the truck had arrived in that condition and assured me it would be fine to drive. However, during my journey, the U-Haul was shaking, rattling, and jerking the entire time, and it even stalled at one point. It was incredibly disheartening and stressful to drive the vehicle with the check engine light on, not knowing if we would make it to our destination safely.

Ferddy CI recently rented a U-Haul truck for a move and had a concerning issue at pickup. When I got the truck, the tire pressure warning light was on, in addition to the low washer fluid light. I immediately brought the tire pressure warning to the attention of the staff, but they seemed unconcerned and told me it was probably just weather related and had been that way for several months. As someone who values safety, I found this lack of attention to such a critical issue quite troubling. Driving a fully loaded truck with low tire pressure could have serious consequences, and I wish U-Haul would have taken this more seriously. This experience left me questioning the maintenance and safety checks U-Haul performs on their vehicles. Please let me know U Haul is committed to safety. Gracias.

ROBERT PThe truck was clean, and ready to go when I arrived. Check in is simple if you got the U-Haul app. I had an issue with the license upload but the cashier helped me through it. I would prefer to check in online rather than on an app.

CANDACEH Cthe person who checked my truck after returning it tried to charge me $60 in gas when I Personally told him I filled the truck back up at their gas station. when I caught the charge this person got mad and an attitude because he I caught it and requested it fixed ASAP. He said it was a mistake but never once apologized for it just more upset that he had to fix it.
monique fThe guy that was working in the store with the lady was rude and didn't have knowledge of your rental process. The lady was checking me in and going over the cost and mileage agreement. He yells at me saying you pay for your mileage there is no free mileage. In my rental, I had 143 free miles with my rental truck that was given when I reserved the it. He wanted to argue with me but I told him we're not doing this. I know what I was told and I'll get them on the phone. The lady then said that I was correct. He didn't even apologize for his mistake nor for getting into my business when he wasn't waiting on me. The lady was working with me. I'll never go back there. I'll find another truck rental company if I had to go there to rent a U-haul.

Alexander ABeyond ridiculous that the gas station employee also deals with the U-Haul customers!! There was one line for gas customers and another line for U-Haul! I felt bad for that one employee, and I had to wait 25 minutes in line to even get my reservation started! You NEED a separate U-Haul employee there!!

EDINA CLet people know all of the policies. We had a small hiccup, but Michelle quickly took care it. This was my smoothest U-Haul experience ever!!! I would recommend this location to all of my clients.
Jeanine mLocation was good, workers were nice and helpful. The truck is a different story. The steering wheel and truck wheel had play. When the truck hit a bump, the wheels would move but the steering wheel not. And vice versa, you could turn the steering wheel significantly without turning the truck.
JIE ZThere was a piece of broken furniture in the back of the truck. Clearly no one bothered to check it before renting it again. The truck overheated before we made it out of Columbia. What would have taken 3 hours at most, led to an all-day ordeal. It affected not just me, but two others who were helping me move a couch. When I got back (eventually) to return the truck, the pump was out of paper and would not print a receipt. I cannot tell you strongly enough what a bad ordeal this was.

There were little directions on where to park the truck and there was no compensation for returning the truck with a full tank when I was given less than a quarter of a tank.

VINCENT OI returned the van to the location today at about 12 noon. Upon returning the van to the gas station, I was rudely berated and accosted with over a dozen Yes and No questions by a 60-year-old woman. The woman attendant first said that she took the request to reserve the van from a person named Daramaja, and that she did not like her attitude (and I paraphrase). From which She fired out over a dozen questions like I was a new-recruit. From which, I responded, yes, yes, yes, yes, as I was getting "drilled". As she went outside to get the vehicle mileage, I turned to the man to my left and said I felt like I was in the US Army getting chewed-out. He agreed. Yes, she (the UHaul representative) was rude, inappropriate, disdainful, and nasty. Extremely disrespectful, sharp, direct. As I left the gas station to catch a ride back home, I saw the UHaul representative leave the gas station at the same time. I told her "that it only takes a second to be kind". She was condescending and shook her phone at me and said that I could take the UHaul survey. She remarked that she was only asking the questions for returned vehicles. No, She was doing a lot more than that, she was firing off the questions. Her conduct was rude, disrespectful, and inappropriate. She forgot who is the Vendor and who is the Customer. I completely believe that the woman on staff at 12 pm, Noon today, should on no-terms be allowed to represent UHaul in any shape or form. I look forward to a response from the UHaul Headquarters to see if you are going to do anything about this employee. John CThe truck was clean but when we started to drive on the highway there was a very loud noise coming from the top ot the truck it was very disturbing and uncomfortable. I returned the truck on time on Monday the lady was in shoke that we didn't use the 100 miles we had to park the truck home and just returned it. Today is Wednesday and my balance money has not been returned yet to my bank account. The lady at the counter is very rude and progressive

Daniel PThere was an excruciating smell in the Exxon store where I had to go in and get the U-Haul. The person who attended me at first, who was a female with glasses was nice. However, there was no working bathroom in the shop, and I didn't know it was at an Exxon. I thought it was a U-Haul location. This was my first time renting from U-Haul. On top of this, the other man who worked there was being rude and yelling at my boyfriend and asked why we called U-Haul to explain an issue going on. There seemed to be language barriers at this location. Also, the breaks kind of made a loud noise when used. The man said I was late to drop off the truck when I literally didn't know there would be fees for turning in a truck after hours because that's why I went with U-Haul in the first place. Then, I was told by the man that he would talk to the lady who works there because she said she wouldn't charge me any late fee. Again, before booking with U-Haul I was not informed about late fees because I thought U-Haul was good about being understanding and wanting people to have ample time to use the truck. U EVEN TOLD A CUSTOMER IN THERE NEVER TO USE THEM, AND SHE SAID , DONT WORRY, I LEARNED THAT LESSON YEARS AGO. SO CLEARLY I AM NOT THE FIRST CUSTOMER TO BE DISATISFIED

Quinten BGet the truck maintenence. Steering wheel was locking up. Don't park so close to other uhauls that make it difficult to get in. Don't charge us for dirt that was already there. Have someone established to inspect the car with the customer. Location busy running the other business to properly service us. Other location was a gas station, I would expect more than a quarter if that tank of gas at any given time

Martin DWhen I called the pick up place everything was fine when I got to the U-Haul pick up place it a trying experience people didn't know how to use computer to get everything set right then I was told that when I finish loading the truck to come back and get the trailer that I was doing you guys a favor for the lady was trying to charge me for the trailer which was not I. The deal charges were supposed to be covered by U-Haul so I became irate and told her forget it I'm not doing no favor as well as it putting me behind schedule a. Hour because she could push through the trailer. Then she processed to tell me that I was getting charged the extra 50 dollars for not taking the trailer which I don't think it's fair anyways because of the inconvenience I had to go through with this woman. Very unprofessional didn't know what she was doing and a total waste of time.

JoifulExpressio NIt took an hour to pick up the 10th truck I rented! The woman I dealt with was alternatively checking people out who were making purchases in the gas station and then complaining that the computer system was "slow today". When I asked questions she was short and rude as if I was a huge bother! Finally a man came in to help and I got the van. The van was pretty new but was very dirty on the outside. When I returned it the woman commented on how dirty I was bringing the truck back and I told her I had received it that way the day before. The truck also had a very little gas so I had to go back over to the gas station to put gas in it which further delayed my departure. While trying to figure out how to get the side mirrors out and where o could plug in my phone (it was not obvious) I asked the man who was in the truck parking lot helping another customer. He also was short with me and very rude saying "it's not my job to help you figure out the truck" (alrighty then!) I have rented uhaul vans and trucks many times in my life and this is by far the worst experience I have had! I will go out of my way to use a different location next time.

IVAN BI will never seek service from that location again. I filed a formal complaint to restore the wrong charges on my card. Personnel at this location are trying to charge us a service that they never performed. On May 27th, when we returned the truck at around 8 PM we informed the clerk that the the 2 back tires were a little low in air and we would like to add air after we put gas. He told that there was no need to put air in the tires but to just take care of the gas which we did. I even mentioned to him that I hoard for " travel safe" insurance. We left and less than an hour later we returned to the same location to check the truck thinking that we left our keys inside. At the moment, the clerk said that the tires were punctured that he had to change them which was impossible. We disputed on the spot and told him that we will contact U-haul and reach out to an attorney for and that's when he became extremely rude with us. We are extremely disappointed with the service in that location in Maryland and I am willing to fight and take this case anywhere it needs to go so that no one else experience that. It's basically a theft to charge $360 on someone card services that were never performed. The bill that I have been given has no itemized details on what exactly was done on the tires that they claimed were damaged. Furthermore, when I returned to look for the keys the truck was parked and the back tires were still on. I will not accept these charges and demand to be credited back. Gracias
