They seemed surprised I was bring a truck back. Did not do a fall walk around vechle to inspect for damages. Did not could returned pads. Was not able to resolve a billing question and I had to call U-Haul. People were very friendly.

This experience was terrible overall. The uhaul itself was fine, but the check out and check in process was miserable!!! First, when i resereved the truck i reserved it for the Dunkirk location. Then I got a call that they couldn't do it there and they asked us to switch it to the owings location. THEN i got an email that sent me a confirmation for a third location in hungtingtown! So after switching the location 3 times, I get another notification on my phone saying that the car was now available for pickup at the dunkirk location. Talk about giving the run around! It got worse from there. I reserved a furniture dolly and another dolly. When we went to pick it up, they did not have any of the dollys I paid for. My husband had to argue with them to get the dollys and finally did. When we get home, we notice they gave us the WRONG dollys. We needed the furniture one, not the appliance one! So we had to make due lugging furniture with a dolly that wasn't equipped for the task which made things so difficult. But still it gets worse...when we go to turn in our truck after hours through the app, the app requires us to padlock the dollys in the back of the truck...except we were never provided a padlock! It was after hours so no one was there to help. We couldn't just leave it in the truck unlocked because if it was stolen we would be held liable for hundreds of dollars! It took us an hour of holding on the phone line to get a hold of customer service who finally told us to just stick it in the front seat and lock it there. There were no instructions on where to drop off the keys, took forever to find the dropbox. Overall the customer service and experience was terrible from start to finish! I HATED it and wish I could get my money back for the dolly they never provided that I paid for.

The customer service is some of the worst I've ever seen, I've been to many of U-Haul location but this is one of the absolute worst. I do not recommend and if there's any other option use it.

Gas station UHauls are the worst. How can you improve when the person doing the U-Haul transaction is also the person manning the cash register for a busy gas station.

I live in St Mary's Co, would've like to pickup there instead of 45 minutes away in Dunkirk, extremely inconvenient.

We were supposed to given a 10% military discount. When we returned the truck the computer system was down. The rep siad he will email us the recipt. When we got the reciept he forgot to honor the military discount. When we called asking them to update the invoice to reflect the discount he said he could not but to call coorperate to get them to fix it. We called corporate twice on 25 July and waited for over 30 on hold until the U-haul line abruptly disconnected us after telling us to call back at slower time. Not happy at all with the customer service. The $98.00 truck ended up costing us over $250 after mileage was added in. Will not rent from u-haul again to pick up furniture locally. but the check out person was having computer problems

No ac in the truck which really sucked. It had some garbage under the set, had a cup between the cab and box little things they missed. Lady cashier was rude. There a was a longer hair guy there both days and he rang me in and out which was great. If it wasnt for him the experience would have been even more horrible.

There was no electrical connection available to reach my tow vehicle. In order to connect to the electrical connection on the rented u-haul trailer the borrower would have to have a jump cord of about 4 feet long to reach from the electrical connection on the rented item to reach the back of their tow vehicle. Poor planning if you planned on towing the u-haul trailer after dark. ;o(

Notify the next customer of any changes in reservations in a better time frame. I was not notified that my prior reservations were canceled and the trailer I reserved was not going to be at my first location, and then they closed my first reservation location closed early before my scheduled appointment and did not even call me to Inform.

Place was average, nothing different from other U-Haul locations. The truck was not cleaned out from the previous renters, but was not that dirty either. The oil light was on when I started out, so maybe it was time for an oil change, not sure, did not read the operator manual. Nice truck, a few bangs, but ran good.

Trailer was not cleaned out, the staff at the gas station made it seem like I was an inconvenience for renting a trailer. Another issue is that not all staff is not trained on how to handle Uhaul rentals therefor I had to wait for a clerk that was qualified to handle the rental process. When I returned the trailer to the same location another employee proceeded to say F*** a Uhaul rental when I was trying to return the trailer. I will no longer use this facility for any future Uhaul rental or will Uhaul be first on my list to rent from again.

When UHaul revises pickup location include a note that the location HAS been revised. We were notified of a pickup location that was other than the one I had requested but the notification made no mention that this was a revision, so I was concerned that it was a mistake. Then all of the contact phone numbers I received from UHaul were either unanswered or unavailable. Very confusing.

The 6 x 12 is a little bit heavy, a chock or block to rest the tongue upon would assist in hooking the trailer to a vehicle. The staff was very helpful and kind.

I rented a 6' x 12' enclosed trailer, which was extremely heavy, and had no tongue jack/stand. This made hitching the trailer up extremely difficult, straining my back prior to needing to move dozens of boxes and household goods. Not an ideal situation for most of Uhaul's clientele.

My pick-up locations changed too much. Somehow the registration went from my name to my son??? There was a customer service rep. who rocked and got everything back on track.

1. the a/c was broken in yhe truck. it was miserably hot. 2. it took 45 minutes to check in on the app. alot of that could have been requested beforehand NOT while i have hired help standing around waiting on the clock 3. agent on the app was not responsive so it took forever

The check in was fine but no one helped us with how to hook up the trailer or looked at our vehicle or trailer. They pointed across the parking lot to where trailer was located. I had to pick up the trailer which was extremely heavy and hook up without any supervision or confirmation it was done. No one inspected anything at all. Thankfully a customer saw me struggling and came over to help. I find it hard to believe that a rental does not require someone inspecting the hitch and hookup are correct. Not to mention lifting a very heavy trailer to place on hitch. In addition the trailer was making loud noises on the highway and I had no idea if it was something of concern.

There is always an issue at this location in Dunkirk Md it's either someone does not know how to use the computer or they schedule for things they dont have or equipment is just not working correctly or you call and they put you in for wrong times and days then always act like it's the customers fault or problem last we rented a tow dolly the the peice that connects the light to your truck was about 4 inches long so we never had break lights for it but no time to go back in process was to long with lady not able to properly use your software/uhaul portal the only reason we even go back is because its convenient but will tell friends check and make sure all equipment works we even asked to look at which tow dolly we were getting before the paperwork but could not because they were unsure on which one we were getting employees need more training

My rating is based in uhaul.com. I reserved a 5 x 8 enclosed trailer to be picked up at the amici in Dunkirk instead was told I had to pick it up 25 minutes away in upper Marlboro ... I wasn't happy about that but when I called the morning off, they didn't even have it. So already I had to go out of my way and if I hadn't called then it would've been even more of a waste of time. I originally wanted to pick up in Dunkirk which is 5 min from me and I was told they had them.. I ended up on customer service for 20 minutes, they couldn't do anything for me so I ended up going with an open trailer which I did not want but had no choice. I called the station and made arrangements with them. Not happy with my U-Haul experience
