Your location was arbitrarily closed on April 4. Yes, that happened to land on Easter that year. However, there was no indication on the storefront, website, or anywhere that the store would close that day. I tried calling the rental location, and it went to voicemail; the voicemail had no indication the store would close that day.

The truck was dirty. When I turned it in at the destination, I was charged $25 even though it was returned in the state it was given to me. The person who put the hand truck into the back put it wheels down, so it slid all over while I was driving it. The check engine light came on within a half hour of my starting to drive it. I had to wait over 2 hours for roadside assistance to arrive to deal with it.

Well let's see first of all your store close three hours early and when we got there our vehicle wasn't there… And the vehicle that was there had stuff inside of it and no one to talk to at the location. And then the cap it all off I was overcharged $15 for insurance that I never requested. So, yeah I won't be doing business with you guys again!

I got over charged. I did not receive the moving items I paid for. The trucked odometer did not work because the low tires sign covered it up. I got locked out of the gate so I could not return my truck the day it was due. And I did not travel 33 miles. I was charged for things I never benefited from. This is extremely upsetting. I've used another The Rental Place before and everything was fine. This place is not good at all. Very, very poor rating. I want my money back.

Personnel was great, location exactly as expected. However, time and space to do an external and internal inspection of the van was not possible due to blocking entrance and exit. Additionally upon inspection after leaving premises a large amount of dog fur, coffee spills, and blood were found in the passenger portion of the cab. I would have liked to had a full tire pressure check performed, fluid levels, and a walkthrough with employee at time of pickup.

I made a reservation almost one week before and got in trouble because the truck I reserved wasn't available at timeout asked to be picked up. Was waiting for so long at the end they sent me to another location to pick another truck and by that time my appointment where I had to picked the stuff I needed got canceled because i was late, plus you guys charged me 49 dollars. After I lost my time and money waiting for a truck you supposedly to have ready for me at that time and you didn't have it.

I picked up the truck on Saturday as scheduled. I made a view of the vehicle and took pictures of the inside to show how gas was in it as the mileage. I noticed on the driver's side that the bottom mirror was broken so I took a picture of before driving the vehicle. I used the vehicle to move and returned it on Sunday. I parked it in front so they could check it. I told him about the mirror and that it was broken before I drove it. He then asked me if I had bought the insurance and I had. He said it didn't matter. I told him again I did not break the mirror. He then proceeded to check out the rest of vehicle. He told the other worker that the front of the vehicle had a scratch. The company needs to point out to the customer that there is a broken mirror or whatever may have occurred before the customer takes the vehicle.

Check engine light was on the while time, tire pressure light too. The passenger door was rattling and sounded like it was about to fall off. No shocks on the truck so you can feel every single pebble on the road. There's a reason why these trucks are so cheap to rent......I guess it's just too much to ask for quality AND convenience.

I called the day before my reservation to confirm that I would be picking up the truck at that location. That wasn't clear, initially. I told them that I would be picking up the truck after noon. She said she would change the reservation. That didn't happen. They cancelled my reservation. Luckily, they had only rented it for a local move, and it was returned at 3:00 pm. When I asked why they didn't call before they cancelled, the answer was, literally, "pfft". Not even a word of answer, just a noise, as if that were a stupid idea.

Rented a large van through the U-Haul app. I booked through the app as it claimed there was 24/7 accessibility at The Rental Place. Not the case! The Rental Place closes their gates after 5 PM. I had originally scheduled my pick up at 5 PM and drop off at 10 PM. Glad I got there early to speak with someone! Had to rush to get the truck out and park my car down a random street so they wouldn't lock it in overnight. When I mentioned it to the woman at the front that they should update their hours with U-Haul so people aren't misled through the U-Haul app, she said there was nothing she could do - with a bit of an attitude. I wasn't sure she'd keep the gates unlocked for me while I parked my car somewhere. Fortunately she did (giving an extra star for not being rude in that regard). Had to figure out a place to park it over night then returned asap the next morning to bring it back in. The poor rating is primarily for the woman's attitude and unwillingness to even pretend to care or try to get this resolved. They should get a lockbox for the key for those who book after hours pick up and drop off. The app even had me go in to get the key from the front desk (something I didn't know until I was there in process of picking up) - totally defeats the purpose and again, I would have been more screwed if I didn't get there a little early. The app didn't give me any warning about this and the Rental Place could do more to get this solved. Rushed to get it back at 7 AM the next day so I could get to work on time a half hour away. They need to care about the details!

The staff is having customers sign for hidden fees that aren't written down without explaining them. The charge for the SafeMove insurance is nowhere on the paperwork, and I was told by the staff to go to the truck and make sure there was no damage. That was all that was told to me. When I questioned this, I was told that I “signed for it” I checked this paperwork I signed and there was no price anywhere and I was not told there would be a cost. I feel this is not good customer service and these hidden fees took my review from a 5 star to a 2 star.

In the middle of this Covid pandemic you need to tell your employees they need to wipe down the inside of each truck when current rental drops off. Truck was late from being return by customer and waited for the drop off and no one clean it. Disappointing!! I asked for wipes and person did not have any at the front desk.
