Inside of truck was clean and smelled fresh. Cargo area was clean. Gentleman at Purple Peddler was nice and quick to get me checked in and checked out. I liked petting his dog.Tremain M.
We were not happy at all with this pick up experience. We were redirected 20 miles out of our way to pick up. I reserved the truck at the original pickup location over a month prior. When we reached the Purple Peddler, there was no one there and we needed to wait for them to arrive, after being told by customer service that we could pick it up. Very frustrating experience and caused us an 1.5 hour trip out of our way,TImothy K.

Went to drop off during business hours, stopped at 12:30, sign on door said be back shortly- waited 40 minutes, no one showed up. Check out online...called back at 3:00 to confirm check out and person acted like didnt know or care.. I suggest you be open if your hours show open!!!Connie C.

When I picked up the truck, there was dried mud on the passenger and driver side of the vehicle in the floorboard. The driver side wiper had part of the squeegee hanging from it. The service was terrific.WILLIAM M.

Computer was down and had to call another location to finish the pickup process (Not a problem, things happen) however, the business smelled of smoke and the truck smelled on the inside. I sprayed air fresher in the cab to mask the smell and washed the windows when getting fueldavid W.

Dealer could not process my order and had to call someone to process my rental because the computer kept freezing and he would have to reboot. He apologized and explained what happened before calling someone for help. Maybe you need to update your computers so this does not happen to others? This was Not the dealers fault as I am pretty sure these are owned by UHaul? Dealer was very nice and helpful to us in hooking up and providing us with instructions.Matthew C.

We picked up truck and rubber on front bumper was hanging loose. When we returned it cleck was rude and said my husband was lying to me about the condition when we picked it up. I drove behind him the whole way so I know he didn't do anything to truck. Clerk did not inspect truck before we left. I was very upset he call my husband a liar.karen T.

I was told a rate of 29.95 per day, filled truck up and was still charged 10.63 for fuel and truck was clean and was still charged a clean up fee. I will be disputing this charge and I will put up a sign in my restaurant and catering business to not use u-haul. I am happy to pay what I owe but not this amount. Charged 10.00 per day to much and the other add on fees.bryan W.

Pretty bad experience. I had a truck reserved at another location and then was told I had to come to this one to pick up. Truck was there 2 hours after my reserved pick up time. Place is out in the middle of no where and added a good 10-15 miles on to my mileage as it was 20 minutes out of my way. Store is very sketchy. When the truck did finally become available, store owner claimed he bleached out the box of the truck. I go in, and the whole thing smells like a pair of sweaty underwear and bleach. It was disgusting. Luckily, the smell did not get into any of my clothing of furniture I was moving. Uhaul did compensate me $50 for not making my reservation but made an already stressful thing (moving) much more stressful. Not to mention the experience I had at the location I received and returned their truck.Patrick S.

I had a horrible experience that had nothing to do with the Purple Peddler. I reserved a truck in Burlington, NC via your 800 # and received a reservation only to find out that the vehicle was not available for my use the day I needed to move my daughter from her college. UHauls solution was to Have me drive out of my way to An out of town UHaul dealer to rent a larger vehicle than I needed. I was supposed to have a hand truck and they gave me a dolly. My daughters furniture was on the second floor. What good is a dolly on stairs. No Good!! So, I had to go to Lowes to buy straps to tie down the furniture since the truck was too big and had way too much unused space in the back, I'm sure the fuel economy on a 15 Ft Truck is worse than a 10 Ft Truck. Based on all of the above I expect a refund for the terrible service that I received. If I don't receive a satisfactory response I will contact the Better Business Bureau .Brian B.

I was charged for 2 days rental, and it should have only been one day. I don't know how to get that back. U-Haul used to be a good legitimate company. I have always used you guys. But I will find someone else to use now. I can't afford to throw away money any time, but especially when I have had to pay a fortune in all the costs of moving anyway.DEBBIE M.
