The truck smelled like an ashtray full of wet cigarettes and beer, and it was filthy inside; mud on the floor, and everything you touched was sticky and dirty. The vehicle was also only filled with 1/4 tank of gas, which was explained to me to be the “error of a prior customer†not filling the tank!! My understanding was the vehicle would have a full tank - which is the responsibility of the rental agency; I'm quite sure they charged the previous customer at the outrageously expensive amount for gas to fill it, but it remained at 1/4 tank…which meant I had to stop twice as the next user to complete my trip! Complete disregard for customer service and convenience!! Lastly, and most importantly, I felt very unsafe in the vehicle as the transmission linkage was shoddy at best and kept slipping in/out of gear while driving it. The vehicle needs the transmission serviced badly!! Feel free to call me for more details @ 571-594-7923. My name is Charles Taylor, and I would never recommend this rental location, and will certainly never return. I would ask for a refund, but wouldn't expect that.

Caleb S.First I was given a package rental deal that due to U hauls mistakes I didn't receive. I was quoted $1370+ tax at least 6 months earlier for my reservation. I was called the afternoon before pickup while at work & the next morning we were to head out of state with my car for restoration. They stated that my equipment would not be at the Carmel location for pick up. In fact I would have to go to two different places to pick up my truck and trailer separately. After speaking with a manager above him they got both pieces of equipment to the same facility in Fishers. Upon arrival, since they split up my equipment rental to get this done they could no longer give my my package rate in the computer. So for U hauls mistake I was charged more. (I still have a return trip for the same equipment that still needs rented later this year). They failed to mark heavy front drivers side damage, fortunately I took many pictures on my own with the day and time stamp on property showing the damage prior to leaving. The inside od the windshield was splattered completely with a drink, and the exterior windshield and mirrors were filthy. It became dangerous and I pulled over to clean them myself. During a rain I found out the wiper blades should have been replaced and made it sketchy to drive in the rain. The truck and trailer otherwise did a fine job of getting me there. I was very disappointed in the customer care side and may have to choose a different company for our return trip from zNC to IN. The female working at the NC drop off was wonderful. I wish the other employees had this same work ethic. She was very detail oriented and customer focused.

Derrick L.I ordered a furniture dolly, and they did not have one. That is ridiculous! When you are moving, you need a furniture dolly. They did not offer anything else.

Merwil S.I am a wedding florals designer and book almost every weekend through June - these guys really take care of me and always do their best to accommodate my needs. I consider them a big part of what I accomplish for each wedding.

mike M.The trailer or truck cab had not been cleaned. The previous renter must had traveled with a dog in the cab. It was full of dog hair and muddy paw prints on the seats. The truck storage area had not been swept. We swept 2 dust pans full of dirt. Even more significant, we rented a trailer to haul a car. The location did not know how to operate the tire straps. They hooked the chains on the axels and sent us on our way. The drop off location couldn't believe we had traveled 10 hours without the tire straps tightened down.
TANNER H.Staff was nice. Truck looked clean at first but found crumbs and popcorn in the seats and cracks once I got in. The truck was covered in snow and Ice and there was no scrapper to help get the truck ready to go, I had to use my hands to help melt the ice. Check engine light immediately came on and stayed on the whole time.
KAITLIN H.Return process did not work. The U-Haul ap did not recognize my location and would not let me complete the return process. I had to leave my keys in the lock box and hope for the best.

Rachel M.Take a picture of how much fuel is in the truck before you drive off. The tank wasn't full when I left, and I got charged the extra amount even after filling it back up to where it was when I started.
