Make sure the dealer's inventory be totally repaired. Exampl: I went to rent a Tow Dolly, but one of the taillight was missing, wires hanging out, the tie downs was extremely rusted, I sprayed it with WD-40 in order to loosen the mechanism. So I ended having to rent the Transporter which was fully usable. Thanks

Jeff KellerThe reservation location changed the day prior to pick up. We had to travel quite a distance to the new location. The drop off location was so desolate we called the 1-800 number to confirm that it was a drop off spot and there was not a drop off box for the key so we were very uneasy leaving it there. The customer service representative on the phone assured us that we were in the right place. Our first experience renting a uhaul was very easy and professional. This experience was the exact opposite.

I have submitted a complaint #2915643. The owner of this store was ridiculous and extremely unprofessional!

Datra GuyFirst of all we were supposed to pick the trailer up in Dothan Al. But although reservations and advanced payment was made no trailer was there for us and we had to go out of Dothan to cottonwood to find one causing an hour delay at least. We then later had a tore shred on us with a two wait for a repair truck to respond. Very poor service indeed.
Orrie McCreaLook over the truck before rental. The check engine light was on as soon as I cranked it. I personally checked the fluids and hoses and belts. Probably a sensor or something. As I stopped at my house ten miles up the road I noticed the passenger wiperblade was about to fall off. It had been that way for awhile the window was scratched. I just took the one from my personal truck and put it on there til I returned the truck today.
CHARLES PHILLIPSAt drop-off, woman running the counter did not know how or was unable to close the rental agreement. When I asked for some form of document showing trailer was received/checked in, all she could do was write on a piece of paper with date/time, unit number and she signed it. She also said she was glad it was a drop-off and not a pick-up because she didn't know how to do a pick-up. I have little confidence in this location/facility.

brenda whitakerI rented a 6 x 12 trailer to move my daughter. It had a built in hydraulic brake on the hitch. IT WAS HORRIBLE. THE DARN THING BOUNCED AND SHOOK OUR GMC YUKON ALL THE WAY UP AND BACK. 600 MILES OF HELL ON WHEELS. This design was a terrible idea, and had no practical function what so ever. I may never use U-Haul again. To make things worse, we ended up not needing it for the trip back, and when we called U-Haul to offer to drop it off close to where we were, they informed us it would cost US over $300 to do that. So instead of saving the wear and tear on the trailer and tires, U-Haul, in there infinite wisdom, wanted to stick it to us. Needless to say, we brought the thing 300 miles home with us, shaking and jerking the entire ride. P.S. We picked it up at a convenient store where the owners barely spoke English, they didn't inspect it before we took it, and they didn't inspect it when we brought it back, but delayed us from leaving because they couldn't locate the one, and obviously only, person that could check it in.

KEN GAMBLEi told the dealer that the oil on the dipstick was barely registering on dipstick he told me to just put key in it and go by the time i reached my house 20 miles away the oil light was on in dash so i called uhaul and the roadside service asked if i would put in a couple of quarts of oil which i did not mind since we were driving the uhaul all the way to springfield,mo the equipment should be ready to go
jeff dodsonThe guy renting the Uhaul to us did not seem like he knew what he was doing. The whole process took a VERY VERY long time and we asked for a 20' truck and got a 17' truck. Also, this is where I was texted that I was supposed to pick up the truck and it turns out my pick up location was somewhere completely different and a Uhaul lady even called me to see if I wanted to pick up the truck when I already had one. It didn't make a lot of sense to me.
