I loved the ease of using this location at Bargain Barn in Willow Spring. I was able to bring the unwanted items I wanted to donate to the Bargain Barn instead of making another trip to somewhere else. The ladies that helped me on the first day and the young man that helped me on the second day were all very nice and polite and I appreciated them all. I'd definitely come back to rent from them.

akhtar munirWe used this service to pick up a table since we do not own a truck, but I have to say I am pretty disappointed. No one was ever available on the live chat, so had the local store not been open for us to get the keys, we would have been out of luck. In addition, the company is very very greedy with their charges. They charge $1.19 per mile driven and expect you to fill up the gas. The gas makes sense but over a dollar per mile is insane. Very disappointing. For less that 40 miles of driving and a 3 hour rental our total cost was about $110. So they say the flat rate is $19.99 or $29.99 but expect to pay quadruple that and don’t bet on getting any equipment or help unless you want to pay much more. We didn’t even use equipment. I will not be using this service again with these prices and poor live chat customer support.

Ronald SheetzBargain Barn was staffed with friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful folks. They were very patient explaining how the rental process worked even though they were busy most of the time. They helped me out with a problem when UHaul attempted to overcharge me for gas when I got my bill the next day. When I picked up the truck it had a quarter tank of gas and that's what it had when I dropped it off but for some reason when I got the bill, UHaul was showing the fuel gauge at 1/16th full which was wrong. When I called Bargain Barn, they looked at the gauge in the truck again (and even took a picture of it) and confirmed to UHaul that it was at 1/4 tank so UHaul refunded me nearly $80 that they had overcharged me for.

I did return on Saturday in which was only one day rental, but business said they wouldn’t credit back my second day. I want my one day credited back because I only used one day but charged me two day rental.

Thomas HuegerichRealize that this store does not open until 10 am. If you need to pick up before 10, you need to do it on your cell phone. Find out how to do it before pick up day. U-Haul customer service reps will transfer you to scheduling, or they simply disconnect your call. I spent nearly 1hour on hold when I tried to pick up my truck at 8:30 as I was told that it would be ready. Fortunately, we were able to find the business owner’s phone number, and she talked us through the I-Phone process. She told us that her store should never have been scheduled for pick up before 10 am. You are wasting your time trying to phone U-Haul in the morning. You simply are put on hold or disconnected. Once I got the truck, the gas tank was not full. I had to go to a gas station and pump $121 of gas before I started my packing. This was balanced out at drop off, but it added another 15 minutes to the delay of more than an hour. Not a very good start to my experience.

I told them that I would pick a drop off destination but they choose one so the place I took it to wouldn't except it. I had three bad experiences with three of your Charlotte drop off locations.

Mehmet CintugluMake sure the owners know how to operate the hitch assembly. We had serious issues and almost had a severe crash. The location staff was amazing and helpful but the trailer was not 100%. The hitch clamp was damaged and failed.

I liked being able to self-check in before my trip. I was able to get the needed ball for my truck before getting to the location as the one I had was unknowningly not rated high enough.
