i ordered truck was called less then 24 hours before scheduled pick up was told they didn't have truck i needed was promised $50 credit which i did not receive truck i got was to small which forced me to make 2 trips which in turn cost me even more money in fuel and i was told the van i rented was in for repairs even though when i dropped it off some one was picking it up for rental.kyle G.

The 15' truck was in excellent shape with 122K miles. I was pleasantly surprised . The ramp was easy to install, the lock on the back was easy to maneuver and secure, and it was easy to drive. I read everything beforehand and felt confident driving it. Easy to gas up, also. (I had never rented before). Counter service was quick, as I had completed most everything online. Counter serviceman was nice and efficient as well. It was a Great experience! I would rent from here again!Valerie P.
The tires on the trailer were Very Worn and need to be replaced. The right side tire was only at 15 psi and was recommended to be at 50 psi . I filled it to correct pressure and days later when planning on my return trip it was back down to 15 psiAnthony S.

The staff is not friendly and every time I rent from this location there is always issues. This time, when I arrived at the designated time, there was no one on site so I had to wait for them to arrive. They then claimed that the truck gas tank was full but pictures of the gas guage indicate that it is just short of the full line. When I returned the truck with gas guage identical to when I picked it up, hey charged me 18 dollars for 3 gallons of gas. There is no way that they put 3 gallons of gas in this truck. I reserved a 15 foot truck online 3-4 days prior to moving. While I was at my closing for my house I was called 3 separate times and left a message that they were trying to leave early and asking if they could register me over the phone. I was then told that their records showed I had a 10 foot truck reserved despite having the receipt and confirmation for a 15 foot truck in my hand. This discrepancy caused me to make multiple trips rather than the one that was planned. The truck was in good condition but I would not recommend this site due to the unprofessionalism.Brandon R.

I've had U-Haul rentals from here several times. No complaints. I've seen other reviews that claim the owner seems a bit gruff or whatever, but the way I see it, he's also running another business at this location. You ordered a U-Haul, get it and go. Simple. I've had no issues and will rent from here again when needed.Christine D.

Your gas policy is ridiculous. I received a truck that only had a quarter tank of gas â€¦ I did not have enough gas to go the 112 miles I needed to go. Therefore I had to stop on the way - estimate how much gas I would need to get to my destination and leave the tank at 1/4 full (the level I started) The tank should be full every time a renter picks up the truck and should return it full or it should be filled by the companyâ€¦Steve S.

This uhaul dealership helped us out with our trip to Florida from IL after the first uhaul dealership in crest hill that we picked up the truck was a disaster the truck was dirty me and my wife sat in spilled soda pop that was all over the entire cab including the ceiling and steering wheel then the tru k wouldn't go over 50 miles to get home to load after numerous attempts to return and receive another one New Lenox pulled through for us Counter help om rest hill very rude and not helpful at all did everything on my own to fi d another truck seems no covid guidelines in affect there we lost a whole day occur hotel expenses for the extra day also we should have some kind of reimbursement please see what you can do not our faultMichael W.

They were supposed to refund part of my rental because they rented me the wrong trailer to start with So I had to go back and cancel the one rental and re-rent another one I still not have gotten my refund back from the first rental I don't understand why so basically I paid for two rentals and only rented one trailer very disappointed please call me to discuss 1-847-417-7366WILLIAM T.

Fix the online check in. I wanted it to be quick so I scheduled for the online check in. I created a Uhaul account and thought that would make it quicker since I entered my drivers license info. When I got there, I had to have my license scanned. No prob. I did that and then waited and waited. Nicole â€œthe personâ€ online who was helping me took several minutes to â€œreviewâ€ my license, then came back and said something about my account needed reviewing and quickly terminated the connection. So now after 10 minutes I had to go inside which luckily they were open. Then I had to wait for the guy at the check in counter because the owner was making him do expenses, which could have waited until I left. Finally, I am all checked in and go to get the keys. That part worked great but now I've wasted over 20-25 minutes to get into this truck which should have not taken more than 5 minutes. I tweeted your company on what a bad first experience I had with your online check in. I did get a response which coincidently was also from Nicole but she claims she was not the one I was working with online. She advised that I scanned an ID and not a license which is completely wrong because A. Why did all my info populate along with my drivers license number and B. I haven't wasted money in an ID in 20 years so i know it was my license. I'll be honest, unless you create an app and have someone who knows about customer service handling these online check in's, I won't use this service again. I only rent when during store hours or I'll call the 800 number. As far as I know, uhaul is the number 1 truck rental in the US and this whole experience makes me wonder why you're acting as a mom and pop store from 40 years ago.DANIEL K.

The owner there is rude and abrupt. Does not treat you as a human being let alone a valued customer. They also close early often and are not there per their posted hours of operation. Equipment was fine. Integration with staff horrible.GERALD S.

I renewed my driver's license two days prior to renting the vehicle. The State of IL provided a paper copy of my new license which is to be used as my license until I receive my permanent license. Your customer service rep said I had to provide a picture of my old license - that the paper license was not enough. My old license was not on me and I had to drive 30 mins to go get it - this policy makes no sense and was a major inconvenience. Additionally the customer service rep was not helpful or cordial, instead just telling me â€œit's our policyâ€. I likely will not return to Uhaul after this experience.Ryan T.

When we arrived, no one was there to help us and it wouldn't let us do pick up through mobile phone. We tried calling them 3 times. The guy called me back finally and was extremely rude saying they don't even open until 9 (they called two days before to confirm 8 am) and said whoever I talked to lied to me because he wasn't even sure if he had a truck for me. We had to wait around until 9 to MAYBE get a truck even though they had them out in the front. Extremely disorganized and unreliable for a move that needed to be completed.Kyle N.
Rented one size and the person working the desk confirmed it. Gave me what trailer number to go grab with the other employee outside and turned out to be a smaller one. Would have been nice to be told I was getting a smaller one since that's all that was available. Ended up having to leave items behind due to being short in space.
