My experience with the Uhaul app was very poor. It did not work, and delayed my pick up by 2 hours. If there wasn't someone who showed up on the day that the uhaul location was not open, i would have not been able to complete my move this past weekend which would have been horrible.

Dropped the truck at night on the lot with plenty of room for parking. Well lit area and clean. Business manager was helpful and courteous as well.
Scott B.24 hr reservation to begin at 11:30. Arrived at 8:00 and picked up the truck. Dropped it off at 5pm. Was charged through 11:30 the next day- so charged for two days when truck was back in 9.5 hrs. Drove 21 miles. Put 4 gallons of gas in. Was charged a fuel charge and for three more gallons of gas. So.7 gallons of gas to drive 21 miles?!! A scam and ripoff of the customer. Additionally- when I did my reservation- I could swear Safe Move Plus was on site at $30. Was charged $60. So what I expected to be about $90-100 was over $218. Truck was returned at 5pm on Wednesday. Was not checked in until after noon on Thursday. I will never use this location again The overcharges are not the end of the world- but the fact that they can manipulate things like this is bad service!

Tom E.As this location was both close to where I dropped belongings off and to public transportation so I could get home, I insisted on dropping off here. OnceI arrived, I realized why you tried to change the location: it was closed on Sunday, and there were no free parking spots. I was able to back the truck into a spot in front of another truck, so the parking lot was clear, and the mobile phone drop off was easy to navigate. I applaud your use of technology!

I feel like I am being cheated and I do not understand why it took so long to charge me this. In addition, there weren't enough places to leave the U-Haul at this unmanned drop off location after hours. Inconvenient. Unclear practices. Shady late fee charges. I will not use U-Haul again

LAWRENCE R.I needed the truck longer than I initially thought, and the person who called me on the phone seemed pretty irritated with me about that which made my move a lot more stressful. I understand it was my fault for not estimating the time correctly; I had a spinal cord injury last year and even though I am doing a lot better I drastically underestimated how that would impact my ability to get everything done in the time I had booked. It was stupid to not anticipate that I would need it for a few days from the outset but I hired labor to help and in the past moving has never taken me that long so I thought it would get done faster and didn't realize it was going to cause problems for the shop if I didn't have it back in time. In the future it might be a good idea to emphasize to people that if they might need it for longer its better to overestimate the time you need than underestimate it for the sake of the shop. And sorry for keeping the truck longer than I meant to–believe me I was trying to get it done as fast as I could. Everything else went pretty smoothly. There were no other issues Im aware of with the truck itself or the pick-up/drop-off process the 16fter was easy to drive (and I have never driven a truck before) and everyone who I saw and spoke to at the shop were kind and helpful. The only part that was a hassle for me were the phone calls about how the truck was reserved for someone else before I turned it back in which ended up stressing me out a lot but I also see where they were coming from because I kept the truck for like 4 days when I thought it would just be 12 hrs initially. I don't do well under that kind of pressure though so all it did was exhaust me more and make it take longer to try and rush things. I would recommend this shop to a friend in the future if they need to pick up a uhaul but I would also advise them to try and overestimate the amount of time they need since it's easier for everyone if you get it back earlier rather than later than estimated. A lot of uhaul places will just charge you every day until you return it and so I figured it wouldn't be a big deal if I still had it after the initial time slot but it seems like they loan out most of their trucks on a very regular basis and don't have enough trucks to fill all of their orders unless they are returned on time so getting one back late is a bigger deal here than other uhaul locations in my experience. It is a good idea to explain that to people in better detail, because the way it sounded when I picked it up was like if I get it back after hours or even the next day it wouldn't be a huge deal besides getting charged for an extra day which is how I have always understood uhauls to work typically.

Salvatore P.Van exterior (particularly the drivers side and rear) was severely damaged at pickup, but the pictures claimed it was almost new. The mileage indicator was inaccurate and off by almost 10K miles, but the mobile check-in would not let me submit a change, and I was picking up after business hours, so there was no one to talk to about this. I had also tried to rent a dolly and furniture covers, neither of which were put in the truck, but once again, I was picking up after business hours so there was no one there to help and supply them.

Thankfully someone ended up dropping their UHaul off early so I was able to use that one instead, but it was twice as big as what I had reserved and I was charged twice as much.

If that charge was the fault of the Location, I would rate them badly. If it was another's fault, I would rate them highly. I tried to make a reservation over the phone and was told to do it online. I was surprised when I was on my way to pick up the truck an actual person called me and asked if I needed assistance. I think that was the best part of the whole rental process. But then I needed to do all the checking in on my phone without the assistance from a Uhaul representative. It's disappointing that customer service does not really exist anymore. Oh yeah, try to get in touch with a manager, I won't waste another 2 hours of waiting on hold listening to your repeated message.

And I was worried someone might take the trailer. It did not seem secure. I followed the instructions exactly, but still left feeling like the trailer would get poached. Again, I spent a half hour on the phone waiting for someone to talk with. No one answered.
