Originally was hoping for a pickup near Sutton, On. Got notice two days before our 15' truck would be available in Inisfil. Luckily able to pick it up one day before move at no extra charge. Lucky because we wanted to start our moving day at 7 a.m. and Tillsonburg was our destination.Kevin K.

The initial time for pick up was 1130 and they changed it last minute to 1:45pm, when I went to pick it up the truck was late 30 minutes. This was very inconvenient for me because I had 2 movers that I paid $50 an hour so I wasted my time and my movers time having to pay them to wait around until I got my truck. This is the worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul and it will probably be the last time I use your services.David R.

Stroudtech was fine, but originally I picked another location and this one was updated twice including a time change....the owner was good and explained there were delays with another customer. However it would have been nice if I could have dropped the trailer off at the original location. Also, there ended up being a mechanical issue with the trailer where the break was set to tight....iain P.

When we are told to put the key in the drop off box, I think it only makes sence to provide us with a box that the key will actually fit into, and not try to charge us an extra $50 because we made sure the key was safe by locking it inside the truck. I think that is it absurd for anybody to expect me to put a key through a slot that is smaller than the key. we had toys like this as children to teach us that this is not how things work.if preschool children can come to understand those terms, I don't see why full grown adults can't. I do not expect to be charged an extra $50 for some tow truck to open up truck that there should be a spare key for. if you guys think for a second you're going to get away with charging me an extra $50 for making sure your key is safe you are in for a bumpy ride with me.MICHAELA S.

My location changed the day before my move...from Bradford St., Barrie to Innisfil! This was most inconvenient as I was coming from Horseshoe Valley. There was no one at the Innisfil location on Yonge St. Other customers were waiting and we were all calling to find out what was going on. We were all late for our planned moves! The truck worked out well and I was happy with the truck itself.Kim M.

I reserved a 6' x 12' Cargo Trailer well in advance of requiring it on Friday, 28 August 2020 at the following Rental location: StroudTech Solutions, 7975 Yonge St. N. 1A, Innisfil, Ontario. Four(4) to five(5) days prior to my pick up I was contacted by the Corporate Head office in Brampton that my pick-up location is changed to: Auto Ranch Limited, 2283 Industrial Park Rd, innisfil, Ontario because no 6' x 12' Cargo Trailers are available at the StroudTech Solutions location. They informed me this location was only 2-3 miles from my requested location. In fact, it was much farther then that. On Friday, 28 Aug 2020 I proceeded to the Auto Ranch Limited dealer. When I arrived at this location the door was locked and no U-Haul vehicles were on the site. I phoned the office number and a person at a garage in Alcona, Ontario answered telling me the person at the Auto Ranch location is on holidays. This person also me he would get back to me because he had a 6' x 12' Cargo trailer at his location and would call me back if it was available. I call the U-Haul toll free number and waited more than 30 minutes and hung up! On my drive back home I went past the StroudTech solutions location and observed a 6' x 12' Cargo trailer in there lot. I stopped and asked if it was available and thankfully it was. It turns out the previous renter returned it early. The Alcona location called me to tell me a 6x12 Cargo Trailer is available, however, I thanked him and politely told him the location is too far. On Friday evening , 28 Aug 2020 I contacted U-Haul Customer Service, waiting over 30 minutes, requesting a drop-off location change. I also told the Customer Service agent about what happened and could have been without a Cargo Trailer. All she could say was sorry and switched me to the switchboard who then put me through to dispatch. The phone rang several times and then went dead! On Saturday, 29 August 2020 I again contacted U-Haul Customer Service at the U-Haul Corporate Head Office in Brampton, which again took a long time to answer. This person changed my pick-up location and all I got was the proverbial sorry after telling her my story. U-Haul Customer Service, after my experience, in my opinion, is AWFUL! I could have been without a Cargo Trailer, after making plans for my move that weekend. That meant absolutely nothing to Customer Service!!!James M.
I rent trucks and moving trucks from U-Haul many times recently and many times over the years. I was so annoyed because you told me you had a truck in Barrie then you called me to tell me the only one was Innisfil. I had to drive extra KM to pick up and drop off in Innisfil because the truck I reserved wasn't in Barrie ( I never got 50 dollars back for my reservation not being what I originally booked) I needed the truck so what am I suppose to say no? Anyways the truck tires were low with air which I paid 3.00 to fill them and then the oil needed to changed in the truck. The light kept coming on. The KM:gas wasn't correct either. Had to change when I booked in. I even called to report this but I wasn't Offered anything, no compensation. I have a huge rental history with you people and have never had issues or even complained when I have. I am just upset at the customer service from the guy who I was dealing with( he was not friendly). It was such a weird interaction. They lady I spoke with on the phone was nice and helpful But didn't offer me anything for my loyalty, aggravation or problems I was really happening, they were just notes on the file... which GO NO WHERE BUT THANKS THOUGH!!JESSICAASHLEY H.

The employee was late showing up for work. My online reservation time got changed and I had to wait almost an hour before I could get the truck. Also your online payment options apparently didn't include the taxes so I had to pay over $25 that I wasn't expecting to have to pay. I was not happy at all with this service and will Probably look to another company if I have to love againEthan S.
Upon arrival, during Covid and mandatory face masks the uhaul rep was not wearing a mask and had no hand sanitizer in site. The office was an absolute mess. The gentleman made me feel like I was nothing more than a hassle to him. He didn't even walk out to the truck with me to look it over. As I was looking overwhelmed the truck there were several area of damage not marked with the X. I went back into the office and I had to ask the U-Haul rep to come out with me to see them. I told him that they were not recorded in that I wanted them recorded. Again he made me feel like I was being nothing more than a hassle.Kelly N.

The first location I was told to go to didn't have the trailer. It took a long time to find another one which was further away. I booked this several days ahead, this kind of mistake shouldn't have happened, and if it has to they should have called to tell me about it before we arrived and had to wait around to find another one.MATHEWW R.
Hi, I am a frequent renter of U-Haul equipment but this recent rental was a frustrating experience and I would like a refund. I returned the truck early this morning at 8 am so that the next customer would have a truck on time, and discovered that the key did not fit into the return box. I came back at 8:50 and waitedÂ until 9:35 for the store to open as I was told to return it by 9 am.Â I had to return again at 10 am for the store to finally open. This wasted 2 hours of my morning and numerous trips to the rental store. For this rental, I would like a refund. Could you pleaseÂ reply to my email on this request.pekka R.

Try to keep more trucks available. We reserve a 10 Feet truck and the customer service department contact me the next day to change my rental for a 9 feet van. That cost me more money as we have to make more trips to the storage room. We were so disappointed because this happened before. Looks like the reserve system that your company use, doesn't work at all or they decided to change my rentalMiguel O.

We reserved a pick up truck to move a pop up tent trailer. We got there and they only had a huge cube truck. Try moving a small pop up tent trailer with that. It qas ridiculous. It also cost me an extra $150 in fuel. Not even close to impressed. The dealer would not give me the $50 credit for not making the guarantee abd the iwner was very rude ti me and my husband. The trucks wipers are broken and my husband had to stop 3 times to fix them. In all honesty the truck was a huge piece of crap and should be sent to the scrap yard. Will never use Uhaul again at ANY location. The most unprofessional people running that location.Susan B.

The people and equipment at the Yonge location were nice. However, I was not overly happy with my Uhaul experience. I booked a 6x12 trailer 2 months in advance and at the Commerce Park Barrie location and was dissapointed upon arrival to find that location did not have the trailer I had booked. I had to drive to another location. The employee at the Commerce Park location was helpful and friendly as well.Paul S.

The truck was very dirty, dried up food on the steering wheel, I had to go ask for stuff to clean, was told they ran out of wipes, she sprayed some cloths to give me to clean. The truck smelled terrible of cigarette smoke, very bad. Garbage bag, garbage plastic and blanket in truck. Truck not swept out and was filthy dirty. If I did not have to move stuff that day I would of refused this dirty gross smelling truck.Valerie P.

The customer service experience I received was friendly and gets an excellent report from me. I had to drive from Ontario to Nova Scotia during the Covid19 situation. Both locations were amazing. A huge â€œshout outâ€ to George at the South Albion Street, Amherst, Nova Scotia location for not letting me run off without my deposit. Which I almost did, but, he saved the day.madge N.

One week later and I'm still waiting for my $199 deposit and the error charge of $107, to be reimbursed. Every employee I speak to, says something different from the next. I was charged well over 400$ to move my belongings, a one day truck rental. This place is a scam.Rowen B.

Better communication Have actual staff on site Not have the person answering the phone telling me its ok to bring it in 20 minutes late, then when I get there ON time noone is there to help me. Ended up being half an hour late after figuring out how to use their app to log the truck, I drove from Toronto to Innsifil, put $30.00 of gas in (left receipt in truck) brought it to the location ON time and charged $99.23.Scott S.

The van was filthy, it had no windshield wiper fluid. One of the side mirrors was broken. It had no snow tires. It made backing up extremely difficult. I was told to go purchase windshield wiper fluid and bring him the bill. I'm 5 feet tall I was not able to fill the fluid. I was very disappointed. I had to cover the floor of the van with plastic that I had to purchase to keep my belongings from getting dirty I will never rent from U-Haul again.Joanne C.
I had reserved a truck and set a 5:30pm pick up time. I got there at 5:15pm and found a note saying they were "out for lunch, be back soon". I called to say that I was there to pick up and was told that they would be there by 5:30pm. At 6pm, I called again (twice - first time there was no answer) and was then told that he would be there in 10 minutes. I waited an hour before anyone showed up. The person was very pleasant otherwise. The truck I was given was still covered in snow and ice and had to be cleared off (knowing I was coming at 5:30 to pick up, I expected that the truck would be pretty much ready to go) which resulted in further delays. Then I discovered that the windshield wiper was broken and had to be given a different truck. All-in-all, it took almost 2 hours of wait time, etc., before I could drive the truck off the lot. Happy to say that the drop-off was much quicker!Mike C.

At the stroud location there is nothing more you could do to make it better. The gentleman working there was fast. Super friendly and polite. Can't ask for much more. If and when I need to move again. I will definitely be going back to the stroud location.dave G.

Had to settle for a 20ft van instead of a26ft through circumstances. The dolky with strap was practically useless as the wheels were seized abd wouldn't turn making thinfs difficult. The hired help was a huge disappointment with only one person showing up late. He did work his butt off to be honest. Two more came later from another job to compensate. The van had to be cleared of snow and ice before being moved. All in all, not the best of experiences.Kieron E.

We drove an hour out Thursday Nov 14th to get a uhaul to be told that the truck wasn't in working condition, the next morning we go to a different uhaul place to get our trucks the lady refused to give us the discount that we were told we would get she said that the head office will reimburse us the money then she didn't even clear the snow off the truck we had to do that ourself we ordered an appliance dolly and was given the wrong dolly we called to complain about that and the rep told me to call around to find out who had dolly's. Also when returning the trucks I slipped on ice and pulled my back out. over all we are not impressed!!!!!!!Robert B.

I originally started with a dealer very close to my home but he didn't accept VISA which isn't good IMO, many customers will deal with credit cards. I had to travel further to get/return the truck rather than a location closer to me but the dealer I went to was great and had no issues. The Barrie/Innisfil area is growing and needs at least two primary dealers with a good stock of vehicles and supplies outside of the GTA to the north. A place with storage units would be great as well, maybe encourage a dealer to expand themselves. I would like to suggest that all of your any of the units that rent for $19.95 also be the same cost per mile instead of $0.79 for cube van and $0.49 for regular style van. If you pay a different price for the vehicle of course your mileage charge will be different.ROBERT H.

The location I dealt with was excellent. The only issue I had was I wanted to pick the trailer up in Alliston where I live. The day before I was to pick it up, it got changed to pick up in Innisfil. That ended up being over a half hour extra time in the opposite direction to pick it up and then return it.Greg O.

Did not receive the option to return to any uhaul dealer. The pick up attendant picked a specific drop off location about 20km away from where I was causing me to pit on extra mileage and pay more money, not something I appreciate.Spencer C.
