Truck had a smell and drivers mirror was cracked. Smell is acceptable i guess since it is a moving truck. But mirror should be fixed that can be a safety hazard. Other then that everything else was good.

Cars available are not well maintained. Only had one van available that would not open the side door. Checked in online but them was asked the same questions at the store. Personnel was helpful and respectful but seemed not to know all the answers to customer questions regarding Uhaul charges and policies.

When I returned your truck, your representative Indika Thrimanni told me that I had to clean the back of the truck. I explained to him that the truck was dirty when I pick it up at the site. He asked me if I had a photo from when we picked the truck up. I explained i didnt. He then handed me a broom and told me if I didn't clean the truck there would be a 20 dollar charge. I cleaned the truck but found a receipt on the floor from a contract from February 28th. When I explained this to Mr Thrimanna, he asked me “what do you want me to do about it, I didn't see it”. Mr Thrimanna was rude, unprofessional and didn't do a proper inspection of the van. If he did he would've found garbage from months before verifying our story that the truck was dirty when it was picked up at the site. I find it ridiculous that you haven't cleaned that truck since at least February. With CoVid 19, I would think you would have some concern about spreading the virus with uncleanly trucks. Mr Thrimanna then refused to answer any questions about our contract and walked away. I will never use U Haul again, I will tell anyone who needs a truck not to go to this store, I plan on contacting the NYC Health Department regarding your uncleanly trucks in the middle of this pandemic and I plan on giving the store a bad review online.

my truck broke down with a blown out tire within 9 miles of the pickup location, uhaul should do a better job of ensuring quality and safety.

Gentleman behind the counter was the nicest guy I've encountered behind a U-Haul counter. Ive rented like 6-7 trucks over the last year all different locations because of availability.

It was a basic uhual rental, however the uhual was dirty and whenever I drove the truck over 40mph the steering wheel felt as if it was about to fall out. Customer service wasn't great, seemed very monotone, and very dry with the little interaction I had with them. I've rented several uhual before and honestly it seemed as if they wanted me out the door rather then ensuring I was comfortable with the rental itself.

Two issues. Truck only had quarter tank of gas which was basically an inconvenience. Other issue was the truck had some newer tires , mixed with some that were right at the wear bars. One also had a chunk missing out of the sidewall. I wouldn't have wanted to go a long distance with this truck. Glad I only used it local. Employee was helpful though.

The gentleman who worked there who gave me the truck and where I returned the truck was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I picked up the truck he was difficult and not helpful. When he showed me the truck, all he showed me was dents not how to operate it, lock it, or how the mirrors or anything worked. When I returned it, he shouted at me accusing me of returning it to the wrong place. He just was lazy and didn't want to accept it. HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Also felt I was overpriced and bamboozled. Paid FAR FAR FAR more than 19.95. Thanks

This was the third time I rented a truck from Uhaul and it was the third time Uhaul had me driving from place to place to locate a truck The location I picked up a truck from was a nice place but it was the third place I was told to go to I had to uber all over Queens whilst I had two hired hands waiting for me I spent way more money on uber and had to pay for an additional waiting hour to my hired helpers I think next time I will use another company

I wasted two hours trying to return keys to a drop box that wasn't there. UHaul, you guys failed me here. I was on the phone for over an hour before being directed to another location. That's not cool at all! It was really late and it was raining. I missed the bedtime stories with my kids because of this problem. The plan was so perfect too! This location is located in the VERY busy (and narrow) section of the neighborhood. Be very careful with your truck there.

The one way rates online should say how much it would be per mile after initial 30 miles included. My assumption was it would be the same 1.79 per mile. It's actually 40 cents per mile. It was a big difference In my case.

Rented truck was not perfectly clean, and I don't mind (I have pictures to proof that), but when I return the truck they want me to clean up back of the truck and suggest to go to car wash or pay extra $30.00 !! I rent U-Haul truck more than 30 times and this was the first time someone ask me to clean the dust!!! from the back of the truck when the whole truck from the beginning was not clean! I want to be nice to them and ask for some bucket of water to help them and wash the back, the answer was No! we do not provide any!! So unprofessional and rude person ! Shame on you!! Definitely it was the last time I use this location!! Worst experience ever.

U-Haul moved the pickup location to a very inconvenient location that opened later than we needed the vehicle. We went to the location and arrived at 8:55, but the store did not open until 9:15. This made us even later, and had follow-on affects for our whole day which resulted in us returning many hours later than planned. To improve for the next customer: don't shift pickup locations by 4 miles in NYC: it's close in the rest of the country but a long journey for those of us here. Open on time. Allow app pickup at this location. I had to wait behind another inconvenienced customer which made me _even later_. The original location I could have just picked up with my app.

Very quick service. I requested a truck few hours after I reserved it and it went through really quick. I was looking for other services but they were all not available since it was a short notice. And this was the only place available for my location. Great service!

Someone called me the next day cursing and yelling telling me to pickup the truck because they didn't have any place. The worst customer service ever. Then the indian guy calls me back and said that someone was going to pick up the truck. The guy never apologized or anything.

The location on 75-14 Jamaica ave closes at 4:30pm on Sunday. In the web it gives you the option to rent it for 8 hours and never mentions that the truck needs to be returned before 4:30 pm. I was suppose to pick up the truck at 12pm. Two hours before pick up time I receive a phone call saying the location closes at 4:30pm and the truck needs to be returned by then. No prior warning . It was very inconveniente to finish everything in such short time if one doesn't want to risk getting a ticket (law doesn't allow uhaul trucks parking on the street) return it the next day. I found very unprofessional and would never use their service again.

The service was quick and easy. The rep made sure I was informed of the policy along with the condition of the van and was able to process everything quickly. Everything went smooth and as expected.

One comment I rented Saturday they told me to return 10am on Sunday had the vechicle for 24 hour rental and then found out it does not open to noon. They have no drop off key. So had to drive to another location on Atlantic to return that guy was nice in Atlantic but that one comment to make have staff available at time you tell people to return vechicle

Stay far away from this location!! They are scumbags and thieves. I have never written a review in my life, even when I get bad service. I am writing this one because this u-haul completely ripped me off and I hope to warn future customers. I rented a truck and went a total of 47 miles (maybe 50 at the most) and they charged me for 400 miles! After complaining to customer service 3 times, they came back and told me there is nothing wrong with the odometer and there were no problems with the paperwork/customer history. I know for a fact I did NOT go more than 50 miles with this van. Therefore, I am convinced that the people running this location are hustlers trying to earn an extra buck. They charged me almost 3 times what I should have paid. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! There are tons of other U-haul locations.

When I initially rented the truck the attendant did not inform me when the truck was due back. Since I took it at 12:30 I assumed that it was due back the next dat at 12:30. This is how Enterprise rents vehicals. I got a call from the location at 11:00am stating that I was late returning the vehical and that the other client was wating. I tried to explain that I though it was due 24 hours later and the person got a bit angry and said no, it was due at 10 and the other client is waiting. I said I'll be there in 10 minutes, and again he said the other client is waiting and it was due at 10. Since there was no dialog or conversation I hung up and just went to return the truck. It was a fairly poor experience and while the price was cheaper than Enterprise, I will not go back to this location again.
