I was charged for a full extra day for bringing back U-Haul 45 mins late. Even though upon pickup I was not told that.

Terry HI received an appliance dolly about a week before we were scheduled to pick up the truck. When we picked the truck up there was no dolly. When we got ahold of someone to ask about the dolly they said there was none available and the nearest one was 40 miles away. I was told if I wanted it then I'd have to go drive and get it myself. We ended up having to lift a washer, dryer and fridge without a dolly. Had I known there was no dolly available, we would have absolutely gone with another company.

Meghan HThe Truck was clean!!!! The air conditioner did not work, Pamela said that they told her they was supposed to fix it. Besides that everything else was great!!..as being a previous uhaul dealer ourselves we know how it is when uhaul says they will repair something not working or broken down..The question needs to be separated on was the equipment clean and well maintained..

JASON FThe truck had the worst headlights, I was afraid to drive at night. I would tell someone not to use Uhaul for this. Also put cruise control in the trucks.
Joe GWe had originally rented at another location, close to our business. When we went there, the doors were locked and no one was there. We called and waited for almost an hour. We were then told a truck was available at this location. This was a huge inconvenience, poor communication from U-Haul and caused us to drive almost 20 minutes farther to get our truck. This location did a good job. However, our overall experience this time was terrible.
Benjamin FThe temperature at pick up was below freezing and once I left the location I discovered the heater was not working. Someone should be responsible for checking all systems before allowing the customer to leave with the vehicle. I had a 2 hr drive in below freezing temperatures.

Dana JI drove the truck .6 miles to my house and .6 miles back, for a total of 1.2 miles, but was told that I drove 2 miles and used two gallons of gasoline for $13 surcharge even though the contract said $5 per gallon. I guess a contract with U Haul is meaningless. Even IF I had driven two miles, which I did not that would be $10 not $13. I can do math.

Nolan CThe 25.00 cleaning fee is a complete lie. We cleaned the unit before we dropped it off. It was swept out! Nothing on the walls or floors. I didn't know that there would be an after hours drop off fee either. If I would have known that I would have kept it for another day. I understand if I went over milage I would be charged. I didn't. I understand if I dropped it off with less fuel I would be charged. I didn't. I understand that if I didn't clean it I would be charged. I did clean it and I still was charged. I was not told that there would be an after hours fee to drop it off. Seems like a stupid fee when the keys are dropped in a box... Good job orange box... Good job! Over all the people I dealt with and the facilities are good. I didn't like the hidden fees at all!!! Will have to try Penske the next time I need a box truck.

LARRY SI returned the vehicle after hours. Was charged an extra $25 even tho the vehicle was rented around noon. Returned vehicle b4 9pm clean. Was charged a cleaning fee of $25 even though I had cleaned trash and swept out the van. So in total overcharged $50. I was desperate and did not review charges until I got back home out of state. This is the kind of thing that creates added stress we don't need in our lives. The vendor knew in advance we would not be able to bring van back b4 closing, advised us extra charge but we had no choice but to accept the fee. With the additional cleaning fee, I was not able to go over van with vendor since he was closed and received that Xtra charge with closing bill. I will remember that this vendor takes advantage of customers if they have the opportunity to do so.the facility itself was maintained impeccably, but I can't say the same for their business practices.
DEBORAH LThere was so much love and caring the time I hit door. Moving was going to be easy never to change a wonderful business with that respect. If I could there would be a Letter of Appreciation to a office personal like Mr. RICHARD there. He handled all the customers with great respect and timing as I watched him work. I said great place to be at this Uhaul company God thanks. Being down and someone special help you Mr. RICHARD did just that at ease with a smile very timely. Thanks Uhaul company yes I would let folks know you care God be with you all keep up the great work. Stay strong and safe always with a smile blessings to all. A Letter of Appreciation to employees would be wonderful at times. Thanks Mr. Richard for all you done for customers doing my experience with you there at Uhaul company.

JEFFREY MThe facility and employees were very helpful during the hookup and return. But I had reserved for one day and my bank account was charged for two days. I returned equipment early yesterday and my account is still charged 81 dollars. When moving every penny counts and not having that 40 dollars credited back to my account, which I was assured would be done yesterday, is a hardship right now for gas storage and other expenses. The same thing happened with movinghelp.com so I am seriously considering not using UHAUL again after being a good customer for a long time.
