MICHAEL MThe truck I was given was faulty. It stalled and turned of on me 6 separate times while idling at red lights. When I picked up the truck, I noticed that it had a low tire and the guy told me 'it's fine it's just where it's parked." I reassured him that it looked low and asked if he could check it before I left. He agreed to do it after I refused to leave with the truck if he didn't check the tire pressure. He confirmed that it was suspect and made a call. There were no other trucks available for one way trips so he told me to take it and call roadside assistance to go and fix it at the loading location I was going to be at which was 20 minutes away from the pickup location. This inconvenience me incredibly! I had to wait two hours for roadside assistance to come and verify that the driver rear outside tire did in fact have a nail in the tire. The truck was dirty and the gas was not at 3/4. In all the experience was absolutely awful.

BRIAN HEverything with the rental went well. The check-in process to obtain the truck particularly with the verification process was very time consuming.
Darrell CWhen we first set up the rental of the trailer it was supposed to be dropped off at this Lewistown location. After we pick the trailer up in Baltimore it told us we had to take it to benner Pike State college which is 80 mi round trip an hour and a half. At which time I called the toll free number I actually called that number three times throughout this transaction. They told me that there was no where in Lewistown to leave it and I said well then I'll keep it at my house for a couple days until there is because there's no way I'm taking it to State college lo and behold in less than a minute he had me a place at the Lewistown office to set it. We got down there there was only four trailers on that lot. So I'm not sure what that was about. We went down there we were supposed to have it there by 11:00 to drop it off no one was there till 11:00 we were there at 10:00 so we sat it in the lot took a picture of the license plate and took a picture of it sitting there when I called the toll free number again and told her what we did she said somebody will be sending you a receipt I never received anything. This is probably my last time I will ever use U-Haul how do I send that do I go f****** do that

Peter CWhen I opened the lockbox to get the truck key, the key was not there. I had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to arrive so I could get the key. The truck's A/C was not functional, and I drove over 700 miles with the windows down, which was unpleasant.
William OI booked my reservation weeks ago. Shouldn't take a 30 minute process to check in. I'm 28 and opted for the insurance, not sure why I had to have a second person confirmed and verified if I was the only person driving the truck. I booked weeks ago and somehow the few things I wanted with the truck, the dolly and furniture pads were not provided to me. The drop off was another 20 minute process even though I was 2 hours early. I shouldn't have to share my location of the truck and take several pictures to prove it's where it is. You have my card on file, if I lied then charge me. Speaking of, pretty horrible experience when the truck is advertised as $39.97 and by the time the taxes and fees were tacked on I paid triple that at almost $120. I WAS STILL CHARGED THE MONEY FOR THE DOLLY AN FURNITURE PADS I REQUESTED BUT DIDN'T RECEIVE. If I didn't need a dolly I wouldn't have requested one. It made moving a lot harder without it. Would not recommend uhaul to anyone I care about. Slow service, hidden fees, and you don't get what you pay for anyway.
Kyroon CHi this was my second time using a uhual from the same place. This time around the uhual needs a lot of mechanical maintenance. It seems like the transmission is going out and also the breaks. It was a bit of a acary 2 hr drive. I wasnt sure it it was going to make it. Going down hill was the worse i do recomend uhual but that truck needs helps.
JOSELYN CThe app check in procedure was not clear enough and took nearly an hour to complete. I had an issue with how to initiate the process. once I started it...The selfy was rejected because I had a hat on. That should have been clearer not to have a hat on. (it took 10 minutes to get that straightened out). The fact that U-haul was going to call my wife to verify me at 6am was not going to work. I had no idea that that was part of the process and would have let her know to be awake to complete that verification. Overall the instruction on how the check out steps worked would have made the start of my day much better.
William ORR tire was low on air pressure, was charged for 6 gallons of fuel after only using the vehicle for 18 miles, did reimburse for some fuel charges but not all, young lady at front desk was helpful during the return, management was rude
Broc LI was given a reservation for a place I picked and day of I was told they don't have it. Then I was told it was a second location and it wasn't there either. The third time I had to call the main U haul number and it was a third location. It was out of my way and added to my mileage.

I was told the price would be the same but when I returned and left truck off the price pretty much doubled. I was told I would pay same as the truck I signed for. The price was way to high so I could never recommend again b

Leighanna VThe trailer leaked on a $3,200 instrument. I can understand a tiny bit of water intrusion, but the floor and instrument were totally soaked. I am requesting a full refund, plus we may need to file an insurance claim as part of the instrument is not working properly now. The trailer had obviously been "patched" many times so this is an issue with this particular trailer. I have rented many times from U-Haul without issue, so this really shocked me.

Jeff WSite was a little hard to find at first, but was very close to the entrance ramp to a major highway which made leaving the site after truck pickup very easy.

Gregory SThe service was extremely slow they said there computer was slow also the total ended up being 100 dollars on a rental that's advertised as 30 dollars plus It had no gas so I had to fill It which was another 50 dollars. Also had an issue were I got stuck in mud and was quoted 500 dollars from your service department to get it out we ended up getting my friends truck to just pull it out. Over all terrible experience 2/10
Gabe EI already talked to U-Haul and sent an email out to Jesse_hoffman@uhaul.com In regards to the truck itself ran fine, it was good for everything we need to move, the gentleman at the pick up center was very courteous. And friendly, and helped us with the things we needed. Upon getting into the truck, I noticed blood splatter all over the doors I informed the intendant that it looked like someone was using IV drugs in the Cab, I'm a medical assistant by trade, and I've seen this kind of thing before He came out and wiped the doors down We drove off to the house and started packing up but before we could do that, we noticed blood splatter on all of the seats, the dashboard you name it it was covered in blood particulates. I took video and sent him to Jesse And I am really hoping for compensation I wasn't due to drop the van off until the 22nd. We dropped it off on the 21st. We clean the van with soap and disinfectant wipes. And it took us several hours to wipe everything down. I'm hoping to be compensated for that Again, I took video so if you need the video, I have it.

thomas bStaff at the store were really busy, but helpful and informative. Some technology challenges but finally resolved. The Trailer was adequately maintained but a couple of the tie down points were not usable, which was a bummer. The trailer was leaking rainwater in multiple locations. I rented a closed trailer to protect the property in it from weather, so I was disappointed to find it didn't do that. It was clear the trailer had been repaired several times to try & address this, so maybe if you need tough weather protection, you should consider other options. Overall it did what I needed, not well but it got done.
Michael HI rented a truck on Saturday and returned it on Sunday. I called Monday morning when they opened to discuss the return of any money due back to me and was told they released the funds back to me. Now it's Tuesday and I've still not received anything in my account.
Vera PThe breaks on the truck sounded and felt like they were about to give out. They had a bad burning smell and awful noise anytime you hit the break or let your foot off the gas. I think this truck is highly unsafe to drive.

joe gThe only issue we had was returning the truck and not able to use the mobile return. However I did reach out to 1-800-U HAUL and the gentleman was able to complete my return for me. Now just hoping the local dealer doesn't charge the extra fee.

Don WI had called this location to ask about renting a 15' hauler truck for 24 hours from a Friday-Saturday and was promptly given a very discourteous notice there were no trucks available until the next business day after I was asking for. Stubborn as I am, after calling around to two other local U-Haul locations and putting in a reservation with one location online, U-Haul called me and had one sent to this location not by my choice. The customer service was bare minimum, the truck had a bit of broken glass in the back of the box, the loading ramp had what appeared to be sheared off aluminum rivets all over it, and there were some minor issues with the emergency brake sticking. Overall, the truck was fine and dandy, super helpful for my wife and I's move into our new home but I'd prefer not to use this location again.
