Checking out the truck was fine, but the lady at star storage could have been more pleasant. She was rude when I had questions and was annoyed and acted like I was stupid for asking. She never answered and just said she didn't know. So I had to take the time to figure out the answer myself to a simple question about the truck that she should have known.Nicole M.

Mechanically, the truck worked fine; however, the passenger-side review view mirror had tape or plastic around the base where a previous driver had hit something with the mirror. When adjusted, once reaching the speed of around 30 mph, the mirror would rotate with the wind.....SAFETY HAZARD! I brought the issue up when I returned the truck & he indicated he would inform U-Haul.cam S.

The first location I had a reservation to pick up my truck (PakMail in Suwanee, GA) apparently forgot to put the key in the lockbox. After taking at least a half hour calling Uhaul (most of that time being on hold), they found me another truck at Star Storage. By the time I drove to the next town to Star Storage and got that truck, I wasted about 2 hours of time, so I was pretty upset. Star Storage was excellent, however.Richard A.

The place where I picked up the truck was clean and the gentleman that took care of us was very helpful and attentive to us. The problem that I have is with the condition of the truck itself which was not mechanically well maintained at all. The truck drives very rough and when someone is renting such a truck, that is that big and to drive over 500 miles, It is very disappointing to see how Uhaul would accept such vehicles available to rent. The tires don't seemed to be in good condition which is a big safety hazard. This definitely has broken the trust and loyalty that I have had with the Uhaul brand. I was so relieved with the fact that I was done with the move and that we made it ok, that I forgot to tell the drop off place about the safety and driving issues with the truck. If you get this message, please let them know as no one should be driving that vehicle until it's repaired.Luis M.

The drop off point is very unclear and there is no designated key drop. They need to put up signs and be clearer about the entire process. We went after business hours and were very confused.Lara B.

This is the location and management team that helped to set up the one way rental. They are wonderful to work with.Bonnie H.
The truck has a transmission problem. I was moving to a hilly area. Going up even a small incline caused the transmission to smoke and have a burning smell. To go 4 miles took me over 3 hours. I would drive a short distance and have to pull over to let the truck cool down and continued this until i reached my destination. After the truck was empty it drove just fine.ROGER D.

Jenna was extremely helpful and worked thru another issue we had with uhaul. I doubt if I will use uhaul again based on the quality of equipment. The replacement trailer uhaul provided us still had maintenance issues and failied components. The people were nice and tried to diffuse the situation but at the end of the day it all comes down to the quality of the equipment uhaul is promoting. That equipment is way past it's mean time to failure in my opinion.Joseph D.

The truck was previously used by a smoker, their were still butts and ashes in the ash tray, ash on the dash, and the truck stank. The location did not have enough moving pads and did not have the furniture dolly I requested. I had to wait 20 minutes for the worker to open and she was apathetic. I needed to trade the truck in later for a larger one (the website recommendation was misleading)... I ended up in Buford GA, at that location the manager was much more accommodating and professional. I would drop Star Storage as a UHaul location. They do not deserve your brand.James J.

Uhaul changed my location pick up and time, but I didn't receive email until almost 40 minutes after original pick up time regarding change of location. The new location when called gave terrible directions and there are two Buford Highways in Atlanta, the real Buford Highway and a small section of GA20 where the location actually was. Took over 3 hours from my original pick up time to finally get the truck and was paying 4 guys $20 an hour sitting and waiting at our home. Finally got truck and the OIL light was on! Went in and told lady there, she called a regional mechanic and he said it was fine, just add some oil. So reluctant to take it, but had no other choice...put oil in it after I purchased and thankfully got loaded and to the destination. Cost me double for the loaders, and wasted a total of 4 hours due to change of location by Uhaul from my confirmed pick up time / location ......very disappointed, asked about a discount or refund, pick up said "we can't" the drop off did $15 and refunded oil even though not their fault...feel like Uhaul corporate should honestly refund us full amount!GARY B.

I got this track at shell station and it was a rip off. According to the Indian guy I only used 7 miles, and he wants me to fill the tank after I used which I did, and I filled up the tank for almost 5 gallons, I complained to him why it was like that. And he is telling me that it was my responsibility to fill up the tank after I'm done. How can I used 5gal for 7 miles....I was so mad, it's not about the money it's the idea that I got cheated by this guy....total rip off. Never ever I will come to this place again.....TED C.

This was not the location I requested on the website as my pickup point. I was very disappointed to receive a phone call the day before we picked the trailer up telling me my pickup location was now Star Storage, 25 miles from my house. Uhaul should not give the customer the option of choosing a pickup point if you are only going to disregard it and do what is best for the company not the customer. I spent an hour on the phone the day of our pickup trying to understand why our pickup point had been changed. I was told it was a very busy weekend with parents moving their children to colleges. That's exactly what I was doing!! The wait time for the 1-800 uhaul number is too long and some employees are difficult to understand and worse, not helpful at all. In my many phone calls to the company, these three people were kind, helpful and courteous: Courtney, Renisha and Oliver. Unfortunately I do not have last names. Everything worked out well in the end, but leading up to the pickup of the trailer things were unpleasant.LISA T.

I showed up to pick up my truck and the other equipment I had reserved in advance was not available. The store had no hand dollies / appliance dollies or blanket covers. I had to go to Home Depot and spend $125 to purchase a hand dolly adequate for the job. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!Stephen D.

This truck left us stranded and we didn't get a replacement at the scene. We were given the run around for 6 hours and no luck getting a moving truck the same day. This was the WORST customer service ever. I didn't get any assistance on my issue. We were left in the hwy and the truck was old and in very bad condition. I should be compensated for the 6 hours I waisted with this truck and no good service offered by the 800#. No apology nor anything.ERICA W.
