Truck was not available at requested location. Had to drive one hour round trip to get truck. Not helpful during a stressful moving. Apparently Iowa City never has enough rentals in stock. This is the second time they have sent us at least 30 miles away to get equipmentRick C.

We're supposed to be set up for24 seven pick up and it was not set up that way so I had to go to a different location and get a truck and it was not able to be picked up when I wanted to pick it upJORY S.

Uhaul should send customers a reminder to there phones about equipment return. Moving is very stressful, and people can forget about day and time with all the work and uhaul is just there waiting on customers to be a minute late to charge really expensive fees.Janelis D.

App also wouldn't work for after hours drop off. So I was basically forced to pay the after hours drop off fee. And their phone is disconnected and not working. Then I got charged $60!!!!!! After trying the app 2 dozen times and trying to call over and over to no avail. After I saw the $60 charge, I tried to call customer service before work this morning and it's a 50-60 minute wait!?!?! What a racket!!! Never ever using uhaul again. And I'm telling everyone how they basically scam you!!! I was trying to do everything right and at every turn they kept me from being successful with it. Too bad.Crystal B.

I rented a trailer for 3 hours but should've rented it for the max time if 6 hours because I ended up needing it for longer than anticipated. Well I was charged an additional days rent for bringing the trailer back late and then charged an additional 30 dollars for something like late payment fees? I feel like this was very extreme and just a way to rip paying customers off of their hard earned money. I'll never rent through U-Haul again. I reserved a truck over a week before I needed it. I reserved it for a mobile pick up, before the office was open. After getting there and trying to get the keys I get a text saying this location can't do mobile pick up. So I had to wait an hour and a half to get a truck after they opened. Had people waiting i help me move and I could not get a truck. I don't understand why they give an option for mobile pick up if it's not an option. And then I don't get any reimbursement or discount after it was their fault I could not get my truck when it was reserved.CHELSY S.

Tires had to be inflated (3 tires) before I could leave the location. Staff when I rented was very pleasant and helpful. Staff when returning walked out of the store as he was answering my question about the charges. Told me I'd need to talk to the manager. He said he didn't have anything to do with it.Christine K.

Service was VERY slow. I understand training someone new but maybe hop in and choose another time when there isn't a line going out the door. It took 40 minutes from the time I arrived until I left. Since this was just a several hour rental and someone else had the van in the afternoon I was unable to finish what I needed to get done. The staff was very friendly and professional but the systems were slow and just trying to train new staff at an in opportune time. Also there was not much room to move around inside the store so it was tight quarters when people were trying to move around.Justin C.

The staff, only one guy, was extremely friendly and helpful. He was efficient with his time but obviously had several irons in the fire. Despite that, he went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met. I believe he must be an exemplary UHaul employee, and that UHaul should pay him well for the pride he takes in his work and to the appearance of the store. He has many house plants thriving in the place which speaks loudly to me about his caring natureMARY V.

The employees looked like they had either just woken up or just left a bar and were very slow and non-chalant. They wore sunglasses the entire time, which is very disrespectful and unprofessional. They were sloppily dressed. One person in line said she'd been waiting 30 minutes just to purchase a plastic mattress cover/bag. I waited over an hour to be waited on.
