The truck made strange squeeking sounds when starting to move and kicked itself into towing mode by itself. It was not fun either to try and not waste unnecessary gas on a vehicle whose tank was 1/4 full when received.Graham C.

The person who manned the counter both upon pick-up and return delivered great service. Patient yet quick to get us on our way. Shaun was amazing. Our driver had a temporary license because he was from out of province and hadn't received the physical copy after renewing due to covid. Shaun called multiple people on a weekend trying to figure out whether or not this was acceptable and was very understanding of the situation. This guy deserves a raise for how professional and friendly he was.Matthew H.

If only UHaul could reduce the number of documents and contracts that we receive (especially when all our headspace is on moving... forward!! ) An alternative could be to a) send them ahead of time; b) convert the content or most of it into a videocast or a podcast, to make it more palatable to you customers - particularly the younger e-breed! Shaun provides outstanding service - he made my across country move much easier. Shaun is knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. He made me confident in my decision of going with U-haul. I went there before I booked the truck to ask a question and he went above and beyond, he let me in the truck to measure the back and thoroughly disinfected when I was done. On the day of moving he changed the windshield wipers because they weren't working properly, and did an inspection of everything (tires, oil, breaks, etc.) before I arrived. I felt confident driving and didn't have any problems. Thank you Shaun!Jane M.

The self-service process doesn't work properly with android phone. I was lucky because Uhaul agent helped me to pick the truck up and have a friend of mine with me when I wanted to drop the truck with iPhone. I tried several times with my android phone through app and website but it didin't go through but with the iPhone it went very well. Please fix it. ThanksMojtaba A.

The method to rent the truck takes too long. Someone has to verify you via the website (what if you don't have any data?) and they call the number you give them, my girlfriend was with me with a foreign phone number that doesn't work here. If the location is closed when I will need a truck then I will rent to another company.Guillaume A.

Your Google maps adress is at the wrong location and as I had reserved well in advance I had gotten the wrong location for my pick up. Upon arrival to the location there were no indications what so ever yet there is still a huge UHaul paiting on the side of the building so I tought I was at the right place. I went around the building twice then finally rang a bell and someone came to open the door and told me Uhall was the other door then when I got to the other door there was a paper with a hand written note that said call this number. I did and the person said we no longer have Uhalls here for over a month now, sorry I can not help you. I then tried to call your customer service number and waited like 10 minutes online while waiting I checked and found there was a different location near by and decided to drive there nd by pure luck ended up finding the correct location. I had completely missed my pick up time at this point as well as my movers and my life window I had reserved with the building. Horrible experience all around.Alex B.

Ive used uhaul quite often but Saun was so polite, curteous and showed me how to use the truck properly. First time that happened. Im usually given the keys and the previous people ive dealt with were rude and indifferent so Saun was a definite different experience. Once I was given a van instead of a truck when on the contract it clearly stated truck. Then i was told i made the mistake and was treated very rudely. So saun is defintely my go to truck rental guy.Lydia Julianna C.

there was a problem with the app, I couldnt connect to my account to get the key code. Fortunately, the guy from the garage was there to help me solve the situation! I got the car 40min late, and I got there in advance so it took us around an hour to figure out how to get the truck.Marie-Pier B.

Took us almost 2h to pick up even if we had a reservation made online. Had to speak with 6 different departments because your system had problem. Truck smell so bad. Took 1h30 to drop off because the clerk was not able to refound the deposit. Been overcharged the insurance that i SPECIFICALY AND CLEARLY refuse. I want to get refound. Overall, everything went well with our location, so I'm giving a good review in general. Two small things would be to improve though. At pick-up, we thought there was a light cigarette odor, but we didn't make a big deal out of it. It was beautiful outside and we opened the windows. We found out later in the day that the cigarette tray was not empty. Previous renters smoked in the car and it wasn't cleaned. Just a little reminder for next time to clean it. And we used cellphone to return the truck... the first step ask us to drop the keys in the orange box, which we did...and after that, we were ask for the fuel and odometers proof, but we didn't had the key anymore... it might seems stupid for people used to rent cars that we droped the key so quickly, but I feel like the first step was a little confusing. Fortunately, an employee was there after hours and gave us back the key so we can finish the process. He said it happens sometimes. I was happy to see that we were not the only rookies, but I think that step could be a little clearer as not to drop the keys immediatly. For the rest, it was all good! Thanks you!Etienne L.

I had a horrible experience here. It's not the fault of Shauns Auto Service though. Shauns Auto Service is closed on Sunday so I was to pick up the van using the UHaul app. I'm in Montreal so using the app outside in the cold was not a good experience furthermore the app didn't release the combination to the key box lock so I couldn't get the key for the van. I called UHaul's 1-800 number as suggested by the chat person. It took 45 minutes to get the combination to the key box in the freezing Montreal weather. My fingers and toes were cold for the rest of the day. I even called Shauns Auto Service even though they were closed and Shaun was very empathetic to my situation.tim R.
