I drove 26 miles and only a few miles were under load. I filled up with 2.372 gallons -- I have the receipt. You charged me for another 2 gallons. So, what you're saying is that the truck gets 26/(2.372 + 2) = 5.95 miles per gallon? Really?MATHEW L.

Find a way that doesn't cost both you and the customer more money. But there has to be a way to get rid of the gas being filled to where the trucks gas was left at by previous costumer. I dont know the answer, just was thinking how old world it is when returning a vehicle back, everyone involved is exhausted. The last thing they need to do is worry bout gas. Feels outdated. But the location we went to was wonder and congratulations the good job thereWILLIAM C.

Windows were dirty, we had to put air as tire pressure was low on the front/driver tire, and although it served its purpose, it was a gas guzzler! We literally drove it one way for 320 miles, parked it for 4 days and drove it back & spent over $150 on gas.ARMANDO B.

Was told the total cost would be $19 for 24 hours, no mention of mileage fee. When I arrived was told it would be $29.95 plus 89 cents per mile. Contract said tank was half full, but it was between 3/8's and half. Pointed out to person who completed paperwork. Drove 36 miles filled up with 3.6 galloons, and was still charged an additional $16.50 for gas. I don't feel that this site is ethical in their fees. Have asked for a refund of the gas charge, but have not heard back.KEVIN E.

I booked online and checked in on the UHaul website. While that took a while in the 110 degree weather, we went into the store where the truck was at. It finally approved and said to show it to the clerk. I did and she seemed confused as to why. Then she said it was because my name said Bob, but my drivers license said Robert. The mobile app approved me so I don't know why she had to re-enter everything and start over. In the process I didn't get a code for the lock on the back of the truck. Not knowing there as a padalock, we drove to our destination to load up and learned there was a lock. I called the store and they were very sorry and really tried to help, but after waiting 30 minutes for a code, we simply decided to drive back. Our trip was 20 miles each way for a simple pick up from Home Depot. We spent over 2 hours waiting around and in the process I had to drive home for an appointment. The 2.5 hours I allocated should have been more than double what we needed given the close proximity of things. There is some big disconnect between the online check in and reality.ROBERT M.

Online reservation -- Reserved van pictured on website, which was a Ford Transit Van. Arrived for pick up to find no Transit Van, only the former generation Ford Econoline van, which would not work for me due to rear door entry height. Forced to go up to a dualie 10ft box van. Will not trust online reservation again. Representative trained in paperwork processing only, not equipment differences,ROBERT M.

Both myself and the couple next to us trying to pick up our trucks could not get the locks opened. We both called the numbers given to us on the app. They were able to get theirs opened, tried to help me with mine but were unsuccessful. The person on the phone gave me 3 different word combinations to try???? If it weren't for a locksmith that happened to come by I don't know what would have happened. Doing everything on the app was kind of nerve wracking.ANNETTE N.
