I was charged $25 for cleaning for moving furniture 20 miles . How can it be dirty? Truly poor service and truck was very unkept when received. Good bye Uhaul from a repeat user!!Paul Bernard B.
For the truck to be cleaned. It wasn't swept out in the back and I found empty food wrappers in the cab and spilled pop and coffee in the middle seat console. I had to clean before I loaded my furniture and I still cleaned it after I dropped it off and left an extra quarter of a tank. Other than that condition of the truck. The customer service was excellent in person to rent the truck, when I picked up the truck and over the phone. I would still highly recommend u-haul as they met all of my moving needs. Truck was safe and awesome mileage for gas... wow. That is why there was an extra quarter of a tank because I thought that I would have used all the gas and would have had to fill it before dropping it off... Thanks a bunch U-Haul...Georgina C.

The back of the van was dusty when we got it. When I returned it, they claimed I was the reason. The dust and liquid mark was so dry that it's obvious it was from past usage. I was charged a cleaning fee for that. I contacted customer service but she was really rude and impatient and ended the call. I called again and requested to speak to a manager but they said there was no manager available. Worst experience with uhaul's customer service.Grace A.

The person at the uhaul counter was so unprofessional. I asked to cancel the insurance policy from uhaul and ready to pay full reimbursement if there is any accident. But he insisted me to take the insurance otherwise cancel the booking and not ready to give the vechile.Arun T.

Improve the interface between the web site and the rental location - I completed all intake information on line including my address, my phone number, my travel route, my drivers license and the required services and had to spend over 30 min at the rental location re-entering all of this information. In the end I ended up paying for a service I did not want use or require (the safe trip fee) eventhough I declined the service.Jodi E.

Our truck broke down in the middle of moving on Saturday June 17th. The starter stopped working. The mechanic arrive approx 1 1/2 hrs after I called and then it took about 1 1/2 to fix it. I had friends helping me move and they were only available through the day to help so I lost a lot of productivity due to the downtime. We couldn't load the truck as the mechanic wasn't sure if the fix would work. Also he had to be under the truck working so it wasn't safe to be loading the truck while he was under it . The loading times took a lot longer by myself as my help had to leave. This was a huge inconvenience and I feel like we should get a credit back on our bill for this.Ryan W.

When I arrived to pick up the large truck the gas tank was empty. The employee told me not to worry and to put in gas for what I needed and not to fill it up when returning. I did as he told me and then I saw that I was charged for a tank of gas!!! If someone does not rectify this issue asap I will initiate a charge-back through my cc company.Vince G.

The issue was not with the pick up and drop off locations, but with uhaul itself. I booked a trailer 2 weeks prior and then got a call the day before my move it was not available. The only solution was a much more expensive truck or a tiny little trailer. The size being that much smaller meant I had to make multiple trips, and when moving over 2 hours away, this was absolute foolishness. The move took 2 full days instead of one and because items would not fit in the smaller trailer they were ruined with filth and road salt despite being covered in moving blankets completely. Absolutely not acceptable at all. The whole point of uhaul is to provide moving trailers and trucks and booking so far in advance should have been enough to guarantee what I booked was available. If it was not, I should've been made aware long before the afternoon previous to my move. Then to be told the trailer I ordered could be picked up an hour and a half in the opposite direction if I was so hell bent on needing that size is complete inappropriate, the customer shouldn't have to drive 3h out of their way to pick up something booked 2 weeks in advance - having moving vehicles available when the customer books them is on uhaul.Meg C.

We made a booking for a 15 foot U-Haul over 1 month in advance of our moving date. We booked it at a location where there is sufficient room for parking as we would need to leave our personal vehicle there overnight. The day before our moving date, U-Haul calls and tells us that they can only provide us with a 26 foot U-Haul and the pick-up location is a 30 minute drive from where we live. When we arrive there, they will not let us park our vehicle overnight so we are left to park our car a 25-minute walk away. Logistics of fitting a 26 foot truck into the new place we were moving in did not work, resulting in us having to carry couches and other heavy furniture a much further distance. Overall, I am very unsatisfied with my experience with U-Haul and will not be using them again for moving in the future.Jordan M.
