First of all I want to say that the people at Rocky’s were very nice and they were thrown into this at last minute, and I was really pressed for time. That is why I would recommend them. I originally reserved an auto transport trailer from the North Smithfield Uhaul center. The people there were very nice also. After we did all the paperwork inside, the nice young man that did the paperwork went with me to hook up the trailer. We found the tires on left side were nearly bald and one had a slice in it. Because I was planning to trailer automobiles neatly 1000 miles total I was not comfortable taking this one. They did not have another one and they did not have any tires they could put on it. I thought it strange that a large center like this would not stock some replacement wheels and tires for their trailers. They checked and found out that Rocky’s had one. This meant that I had to drive 20 minutes further away from where I had to pick up the car I was going to tow. This put me quite behind in my planned schedule but I had no choice at this point. At Rocky’s nobody They were pretty busy an nobody came outside with me to assist or inspect the trailer. The tires were not very good but better than those on the one in North Smithfield. I discovered later that the directional lights did not work properly either. When I put either directional on, both rear lights flashed. This made me nervous but I couldn’t do anything about it then. During The rest of my trip I was very careful when changing lanes to be sure those behind me knew I was turning. Thankfully all went well. Overall I was disappointed with my experience with Uhaul because of these issues. I own an auto sales business and we are doing more and more out of state deliveries. I was hoping I could count on Uhaul when we needed to rent a trailer, but I am not sure that I can. I would appreciate your thoughts about my experience. I was unable to use the self dispatch successfully due to the website being confusing (other customers were confused as well and also waited for assistance). I proceeded to wait 35 minutes for service which was mediocre. The person who does the u-haul dispatch was late to work 25 minutes! She never apologized for her being late. There were key issues and someone rented a truck to me that was reserved for the store. Other store employees did apologize for the wait prior to her getting there. This hold-up impacted my moving process and the 5 other people who were waiting in the cold for me back at our starting point. I was already disappointed that I had to travel over 20 miles to get my 20-ft truck when plenty of u-haul locations in and around my starting town.

Worst UHaul rental ever. Outgoing mileage and gas reports were wrong. Pointed out to Rocky’s Ace Hardware, the rental location. They didn’t update their paperwork and then tried to overcharge me $50 for insufficient gas because they didn’t write down correct numbers. Gas was correctly refilled, good thing I took a picture. Always surly, barely competent lousy service at this location and I’ve spent over $1000 renting UHaul trucks here. Last time I’ll do business with Rocky’s Ace Hardware Greenville, ever.

Just dropped off truck no real dealings with anyone

I have rented a van 3-4 times in the last month at Rocky's Ace Hardware . This time in Monday morning at 8:30am the van still had junk in it left by the previous (weekend) renter. I found a very large aquarium up front between the driver and passenger seat and junk in the cargo area. No employees around so I marked "ok" on the mobile app and through the stuff in the dumpster. Employees should clean the vehicles BEFORE they are due to rent out!

This was the first time the equipment had been unclean. Normally there are no leaves in the cargo area or dispersed food around the cab. Facility is excellent. Previous customer didn't do their part.

When I picked the truck up it still had the trash in it from a previous renter. Before returning the truck I cleaned my stuff as well as the garbage left behind by someone else. I noticed there was no walk around to look for prior damage with an employee before leaving with the truck so I took pictures with my cell phone. Employees r very nice.

I rent the 5 x 9 trailer with ramp to move my golf cart to camp every spring and again in the fall to bring it home. Never had a problem with the equipment or rental. I would recommend U-Haul for all your needs.

$1.00 per mile is pretty expensive....unless you are moving around the corner...the pricing should be scaled $1 for first 25 miles..$.50 for next 25..etc.

Tried to charge me $9 saying I didn't return it with enough fuel. After explaining I picked it up with 1/2-5/8 of a tank and I was returning it with over 1/2 that fee was waived.

show us where the truck is check the truck to see what the mileage is because it was wrong on the sheet check the gas gauge because it was wrong on the sheet which said it was full it was less than 7\8 i'm not paying for any gas please take thecharge off my card

The associate Elizabeth was rude and disrespectful to myself and my wife, and not helpful at all.. she kept saying that we were ONLY uhaul customers and not important and continued to help everyone else but me and my wife... she Told me I had to return the truck to there location which would cost me another $40 and when I said that’s not what I ordered online , and I asked if there was another option she said no and that I was screwed which she then threw the truck keys at me. I also order 12 blankets online and they only had 6 never did they apologize or offer to help in some way they were just horrible the entire time. The manager Chris was also there the entire time behind Elizabeth, but never said a word until I was getting ready to exit the store upset and he told me to please leave the store.. I have never seen such horrible customer service in my life, other customers behind me felt bad and told me to next time go to a different store for uhaul.. I will never go back to Rocky’s ace hardware again. Over all the worst experience of my life...

I could not use this trailer. I checked online and checked again at the store. The car I attempted to move is exceptionally narrow. The wheels literally did not reach both ramps. I worked around this by lifting the car and backing the trailer up to it and dropping it back down. The trailer was supposed to have a retractable ramp (and even included instructions for how to retract the ramps). This ramp was bolted into place on both sides. When the car was lowered with the ramps fully extended the trailers pushed into the body of the car. I checked compatibility, I followed all instructions, I checked and double checked everything I needed to. At the end of the day I ended up paying for and fighting with a rigged trailer that did not work. I wasted several hours and expended much effort trying to compensate for errors made by your company. This is really unacceptable. I don't care about the money I wasted, I care about my time. I ended up having the car towed professionally. Please do not rent faulty or rigged equipment to customers. The feature on your trailers are there for a reason. Not everyone needs them, but some do. I did and I am very disappointed that they did not work especially after being given incorrect compatibility information.

The truck cargo bay was left unswept when I picked it up, and the moving pads were opened and left partly on the floor of the cargo bay. The cargo bay light was broken and held in place with scotch tape. Several dings were not previously marked with Xs. I had the truck until after nightfall, so no light in the hold was an inconvenience. The location was great; the counter folks very quick and helpful. Pick and and return by phone was very convenient.

When I arrived at the location the van I had a confirmed reserved online had been rented out to someone else. They could only offer me a 10' truck. I was willing to take the truck but not at the increased mileage rate. The assistant manager told me there was nothing he could do to reduce the rate. He said I had to call UHaul because I had made the reservation online. I found that unacceptable service. I had a confirmed reservation and the local office should have either been able to take care of it at their end, or called UHaul for me. Luckily, a van was returned while I was waiting, so my original reservation could be taken care of. But, this was much more difficult than it should have been.

The low tire pressure light came on when I was driving. It was a short trip so it wasn't a huge deal but for someone who doesn't know a lot about cars it might be a little panic inducing. Had the trip been longer I would have had to stop and put air in the tire.

I reserved and confirmed a van and went I went to pick up it was not available. I had to drive the small truck which was difficult and consumed much more fuel than van. Why have a reservation and confirmation if it does not work. Uhaul will be my very last choice

After pick-up of truck, parked the truck over night. Next morning went to start the truck and the battery was dead. Truck was a 2017 model and the battery was not a new battery. Looked like battery was replaced with an old one with corision. I WAS NOT happy. Road side assistance had to be called and was nervous the whole trip out to MN wondering if the battery was going to last

I was disappointed that I got charged for 8 days rental... when I only used the trailer for 3 days... I was under the impression that I would be refunded for days unused. I dont think I’ll be a U-Haul returning customer.

Overall, the experience at Rockys has been good. We rented weekly in August, September and October. There have been a few times when the truck is not clean, but it was never unusable or even gross. It was just a few papers and a little dirt from shoes. They have the vehicle ready when we pick it up. the only weird thing is that the gas gauge is always below what it is says on the paperwork. Not a lot, but about 1/8 of a tank. Overall, usually a great experience.

Very disappointed. I have been waiting over a week for Steve to call me back regarding overcharge on gas. Husband was given wrong gas reading when he picked up truck. Went outside and took a photo of gas gauge and showed them. They were supposed to change. We refilled it to the same amount and still was charged the gas fees. Won't recommend UHaul. Service is terrible. 2nd time I called woman on phone assured me she would call me back if Steve didn't. Still no word....

Trucks should be non smoking. It smelled
