Uhaul is just a side business at this location. If a customer from their car was business walks in they syop serving you. They make zero effort in renting you their equipment. The basic jist is your trucks out there go fend for yourself.

My uhaul was completely full of boxes and styrofoam when I picked it up and brought it home. I had to bring it back to the store, which was about 15km both ways. Then I had to remove all the belongings from the uhaul. The entire process from picking it up, having to return it and then clean it out took approximately 2 hours and I was offered $330 in compensation by Adam Boughton. A couple days later I only received $50 in compensation despite having a written agreement saying I would be compensated my fuel cost ($280) plus $50… ie $330. Adam Boughton never answered any subsequent emails or calls. My tank was completely empty when I picked up the uhaul. Considering it was a new uhaul, the cost of fuel was atrocious. On the website it states that these get 600miles on a full tank. I averaged 400 miles on a full tank and the truck was brand new. It was not due to weather that it cost so much either because the average temperature was 0-3 degrees. So my fuel estimate based on what I was told it would be was 30% higher. When you're travelling almost 3000km's that's almost $500. Very dishonest. Additionally there was zero windshield washer fluid in the truck. This was the worst experience I have ever received renting any type of vehicle, and one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. Massive fail on all levels. Zero quality control, no accountability, huge waste of my time!

Wanted a 6x12, would not rent because it was a one way rent was one there but got a 5x8, had to make 2 , 240 mile trips to haul what I had. One with trailer and one with just my truck. Won't rent again, not that Uhaul will care.

- The two Agents at this location were Friendly & helpful - I called the general U-Haul number the night before to ensure I could pickup truck via Online app. The option to pick-up truck was not available. Person on phone mentioned that it only appears on day of rental. Unfortunately, it did not show up for me and I had to wait in line for the two agents inside. - I had requested 2 Dollies, but none were available at pickup - Inside the cab was a bit Muddy, but overall, fairly clean. - Pretty good experience overall, main issues were being able to use the app to pick up truck online and the unavailable dollies.

The back of the truck was full of garbage. The cab was dirty and had a licence from someone else in along with e set of keys. The guy that gave me the truck got my email wrong and sent all my personal information to a random stranger. This stranger texted me and told me he has all my personal information and could ruin my life if he wanted. Very bad experience. I was 3 hours helping clean out the back of the uhaul and now some random guy has all my information.

Employee was incompetent. I am happy that someone gave this kid with autism an oppressive for employment. The issue is that he has no problem solving skills so when issues arise he doesn't know what to do and panics. When potential finances are involved, you need someone able to assess and process information.

The inside of the box of the truck was dirty, and had diesel fuel spilt in it. Also the windshield wipers where broken and no washer fluid in the vehicle.

The truck had a bunch of garbage in the back, when I called the location they told me to find a dumpster to put it in… it is illegal to dump trash in someone else's dumpster…. Also the truck has a huge crack on the drivers side windshield which is very dangerous.

The man working wasn't very helpful, the uhaul was dirty. We were expected to bring in the stuff they left from previous users in the uhaul and don't even order and got sass when we didn't know, the doors were hard to shut as well.

The employee told me to go to the location on Park street to get help loading my vehicle however when I arrived there I was told that this was not appropriate nor something they do. However they did check over the strapping etc. when I had it loaded.

Truck was not clean upon pickup. There was a half full can of beer in the cup holder. There were spills all over the cup holder, floor and emergency brake handle and boot. Truck smelled like beer. Service engine light was on. Washer fluid reservoir was empty. There was still refuse in the back of the truck...broken pieces of styrofoam, cigarette butts and several pieces of dirty clothing. Truck had not been swept out. I cleaned and sanitized the truck cab, cleaned and swept out the back and checked all fluid levels including adding washer fluid) before heading out on the highway. Very disappointing to have had to do this myself. Had there been another rental option I would not have accepted this truck.

The inside of vehicle needed to be cleaned (there was garbage under the seats, cupholders were sticky, a half eaten chocolate bar in the glovebox) The windshield needed to be cleaned at a minimum, and ideally the whole vehicle (there were so many wasps on and around the vehicle due to the layer of dead bugs on the front) The U-haul pick-up confirmation text/form was user friendly, but the information and pictures were wildly outdated and inaccurate (the supplied picture of the Drivers Side of the truck wasn't even of the truck, it was a picture of a machine/equipment in a mechanic shop, other pictures were old enough that major scrapes, dents, and cracks were not included).

I secured a truck online but when I received it there was no available truck at that location. It was a stressful situation as I had to move in 2 hours. And the procedure of finding a new truck took us at least more than an hour. I had people hired to help us move who charged me because they were at no fault.

Pickup location and equipment was changed and I did not receive notification. They said they sent notification but nothing received!. (I know they had the correct contact information before because I was contacted about Towing an empty trailer ). Vehicle had 6 flat tires when I arrived. Supposed to be contactless pick up . I called uhaul and the call was bounced around. Finally I found the office and they said the tires just needed air. So the guy jumped in the truck and drove it over to the gas station with completely flat tires! 7 am pickup turned into an 11 am pickup. After loading up we finally arrived at 12:15AM!

Be clearer when reservations are made. When a customer gives their personal information including a credit card number to reserve a vehicle they should not get the run around and transferred to multiple locations over multiple days. Know your inventory, only post locations where trucks are available during the time of the reservation. It's really disheartening when you give so much personal information just to be tossed around to different locations including one that does not exist any longer to pick up a vehicle.

My experience is so bad! The staff is not helpful at all! the windshield of the truck is full of bugs they don't even clean it. the guy showed me how to install the auto transport very quick and said just watch it on video I am very confused coz its my 1st time moving and have to use that equipment! He seems in a hurry and he let us do it ourselves! and the worst part is that I ask them if I can leave the auto transport in their parking lot? Once I've done loading my stuff will take it? Even how hard i explain to them that I don't have enough space in front of my apartment They said no! That was the worst experience I ever had in my life.

The staff working there was fine to deal with. It was not a 16 year old teenager's fault that U haul changed my reservation twice to two different locations and then did not have a truck the size I needed for my rental at the time I had requested. Completely unsatisfactory service from U-haul directly! (not the pick up location). Over priced too. A rental for 4 hours cost me 90$. The only reason I rented with U haul was because they were the only ones available on a Saturday pick up. Our next fundraiser will be planned weekdays so we can rent from a different company because if this experience. If I book a hotel, I get the room I booked, it does not get changed to two locations before my stay. U-haul needs to work on their reservation system!

Didn't receive paper receipt at drop off

Our uhaul was due back at 8pm. When we arrived back with the largest van available, the spot we took it from was taken. So we decided to park in the spot behind it which required us to manoeuvre this enormous truck back around, through a small alley and then maneuver it into a narrow spot. This took us about an extra ten minutes. When we pulled up, we ensured we got all belongings or other items out and in clean condition. When we initially opened the back door, it was open. I then realized I may need my ID so I closed the door and grabbed my id. When I went to go back inside the door was locked. I tried to knock and call. After a long hot and exhausted day of moving three separate house holds out of town, our minds were a bit tired, but we tried to figure out how to leave the key in the drop box but couldn't figure it out, so we went around to the front and the door was open. We entered the building and there was one younger guy washing something. We stood in the store area and waited a couple mins before the guy came in. Instantly the aggression was felt as when we said,”hey, we're just here to drop our keys off that we're due at 8.” His instant response was, “I don't return rentals after 8pm”. It was 8:03pm. After a bit of shock and confusion and confrontation, I asked for his supervisors number. His immediate response,”why. Why would you want that.”. So I explained how unprofessional and confusing it was that we were there with the uhaul before 8pm, cleaned and filled with gas. Eventually he gave me some number that lead me to some general help line or something which I didn't discover until after we had gotten back in the car. When I asked if this was going to cause me any extra charges he just stated “it will charge from when you returned it” in an extremely condescending tone. By the end of it I just asked how can we return these. He pointed to the back door and said you go back around and put them in the drop box. When we explained we had tried and couldn't figure it out he brought his tone up a pitch and said in the most condescending tone how to do it as if we were children. I was in absolute utter misbelief and decided to remove myself from the situation.

The trailer was missing a tie down hook. The attendant provided the hook but did not have the wrench to change it. We had to travel across the city and ask another U-Haul location (1535 Park St) to change the hook. They were very helpful and got us on our way!

The truck had pieces of broken glass on the floor. It would be nice if it was clean. Also, I ordered a furniture dolly, an appliance dolly, and 6 blankets. I was given a furniture dolly. She did have a utility dolly, so She gave me that. She went through the trucks and found 4 blankets in the cab of one of them, and gave me those. I was disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered, but I appreciated her effort to provide blankets.

No furniture pads or dollies were available at this location. The truck made strange grinding noises whenever I used the brake. I had specifically ordered furniture pads online and then, when I showed up I was told uHaul had altered my order.

The person didn't assist to get the vehicle ready because he claimed there were no staff to get the vehicle out of the parking lot which was very complicated. Did not show the vehicle personally. Did not wanted to check the damage in the vehicle. Did not wanted to review the pictures I took at the pick up time. It seemed he didn't care too much.
