Being briefed on the vehicle. Able to answer basic questions about the vehicle. I asked how many mpg it got, I was given a guess - 5/mpg. The tank was 3/4 full, based on that answer, and not knowing how many gallons the tank held & to ensure we made it to our destination (66miles away) , I filled the tank. Nearly $90. We got to the destination, barely used any gas. It was a hair below the full line. I called to inquire about a discount or credit for that issue - since I'm getting 2 more uhauls over the next 2 months. Was told "sorry" that is incredibly poor customer service. Let alone when I placed my reservations, I asked for the 1st & 2nd to be 15 footers, then the 3rd would be a 26ft..got here, no 15 ft. Only 26 ft. Had to pay that price instead of the 140+ taxes /fees I was given when i made the reservation. So if you're looking to rip people off with not giving the correct informative details, yall get an A+.ASHLEE J.
Make the process more obvious. When I pulled up there were no signs telling me where to go pay for it and when I came to drop off it took over 20 mins for them to tell me where to put the trailer which they made me back up which is not an issue with me because I have done it many times, but my girlfriend was going to be the one returning it and she has no capability to back up a trailer in between two vehicles.Cade S.

The lady at the desk wasn't wearing a mask and had no idea what she was doing it took me 45 minutes To get the key for u-haul and I was the only one there The truck was full of dog hair but I clean the inside my self and when I drop it off the same lady didn't know how to do the complete some paperwork to drop off paperwork so I waited another 40 minutesBOBBY T.

Started off stressful as the computer wasn't functioning for the first 45 minutes of waiting for my transaction to be finalized. Regardless of the stressful situation, Drew stayed very calm and was so helpful and made things right at the end of the day. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location as it is 35 miles away from my home. I would highly suggest that Uhaul has more trucks available in central locations that can drive out of state. It was a bit of an inconvenience having to drive almost an hour to pickup the truck.DAVID J.
The truck was dirty inside and out. Mud and what looked like spit all along the upper compartment by the windows and grill. Was also 30 miles out of my way. We were promised extra miles for going that far and was a nightmare to get anyone to honor it.Stephanie D.
I did reservation 1 month before the date and that day they don't have ready the truck at the place in set up to pick up! So I had to drive 200 miles to the nearby place to pick up the truck ðŸ˜¡luis C.
The problem was not so much with the location, although the back of the truck was dirty. The problem was that I reserved a 20' truck for this location at least a week before our move, and only a 10' truck was available. Nobody contacted me to tell me that my truck of choice was not available - instead, I received multiple confirmations of my reservation. In speaking with friends, they have had similar experiences. I will never use U-Haul again. It is very stressful to find out only when picking up the truck that the one you ordered is not available - especially when you have people coming to help an hour later. Moving is stressful enough, without dealing with problems like this. I don't understand how U-Haul can get away with these sorts of fraudulent business practices.David G.

Was overcharged for 2 instead of one dat and extra mileage that I can prove through time stamped pictures and receipts I did not put on the truck. Truck was dirty and reeked of marijuana. I was told the area manager would contact me within 72 hours but was instead only sent an email showing they went ahead and charged my card. Employees at the Ramco were totally rude.Yoshiko B.

Delayed a day due to having to wait till cooler weather. We were supposed to leave by 9 am but with no working AC we waited the drive to pahrump till 5. This greatly put a lot of ppl who were to help unload the truck with us (*us, meaning my 15yr old son and 21yr old daughter) inconvenienced. These ppl had to meet us at midnight to unload. Super sucked because I dont have money as a single mom to keep the truck another day so they all just sucked it up and did it for me. Sucks beca6i feel terrible :(Katherine M.

The drop off location was close to my new place and there is a convenience store there as well offering nice cold drinks. Checkout was very easy, the gentleman who checked the truck in was very friendly and made sure to invite me back for any rental needs I may have in the future. And the store was very inviting and they have a large beverage selection to choose from. Thank you for such an easy move!!Michael A.

The truck was fine. I've used U-Haul many times for moving. My only issue this time was that I ordered a furniture dolly and was charged for it, but there wasn't one in the truck. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got the truck home. So we ended up moving without one, but it would have been nice if it was there since I was charged for it. The cashier said I would be refunded the $7.00 for the dolly, but that doesn't help my back.JeanPaul J.

We had a problem with the Gas gage and the person would not even take a report on it. And instead charged us for the gas. We also forgot 1 dozen blankets and instead of charging another day of rental on them, he charged us for them when we insisted on bringing them back within the hour! The man was extremely rude and I would not recommend this location.Robert R.

The whole process was terrible. * Clean the truck...Truck was dirty - windshield had not been cleaned from the prior move. I had to do it which meant climbing up and really stretching. * Training - The representative couldn't figure out how to run my card and kept telling me it was my bank - it wasn't and he finally called someone and got help. * Update the equipment - truck drove like a pig. No cruise control which should be mandatory for long distance. Roll down windows - really???Laurel G.

My experience getting the trailer was poor. Originally, I'd scheduled the pickup for Poway originally, which is the closest location for me. On Thursday I received a text saying I would have to go to another location to get my trailer. Why was the reservation not honored for the location to begin with? Once I arrived, there was some confusion about what I was actually renting, which the owner graciously resolved...I had to spend 3 hours to get the trailer -- which could have been avoided!Ian M.

Had reserved truck and 12 furniture covers. Clerk could only find 5 covers and one was so dirty it still had plant material sticking all over the cover. The covers were just piled onto the truck, yet a warning sign in the trucks states that I will be charged $25 if I don't return them clean and folded...There was no pre truck inspection and walk around, so I took photos and video tapped the obvious damage, so I would not be blamed. Otherwise the clerks I dealt with were both fast and easy to work with. Good customer service.Raul G.

Once arriving at the time of my reservation I was informed that my truck is not available and that no trucks would be available for the rest of the day. This was the day of my move and I needed to be out of my storage unit by 2pm. No attempts were made to mitigate the situation by the manager. I had to then call the store owner to find a solution for receiving a truck (which i reserved). The new truck took me an hour out of my way and 2 hours after my initial reservation. I highly recommend not doing business with this UHaul.Ben H.
This doesn't have to do with location but Uhaul corporate. Every time I rent something they try to get a extra charge. This time they wanted $15 for being 1 hr. late but I was there 4 days erly. I wasn't charged the money but just tired of the fight.ROY S.

Had a 4:30 Pm online reservation-but had to wait 30 min because the person able to check me out was offsite picking up a different trailer at a local location. Point being-with an online pickup time-person should be available for a 4:30 Pm pickup.Bill B.

I think time limits should be waived if not brought back at the time it was allotted... IF the truck had no reservation afterward. Meaning, if the truck is due back on a Friday at noon, and you get there by 2:00, you should be charged an extra day if someone was waiting on their reservation. But, if there was no reservation after being turned in, then I think if it's on the same day, you shouldn't have to pay an extra day. Trust me, moving is hard work, and sometimes it's difficult to pinpoint the exact time it should arrive back.Theresa L.

Worst experience After repeatedly asking about the size trailer to be used. Knowing I needed their largest trailer for oversize tire's. What I picked up, was undersize rust bucket. I will be renting again, not from uhaulDave A.
I would tell someone to work directly with this location and it personnel and ignore the calls, texts and emails from the morons at the regional office. The people at the poway uhaul office and at the oceanside regional office are amongst the dumbest human beings I have done business with and offer the poorest of customer service.JEFF H.

I had a reservation for a uhaul at a location closer to my apartment and it got changed multiple times. First they wanted me to pick it up 12miles away. Which would add 24 miles to my trip and I would be expected to pay for the mileage. Then they give me a bigger truck at the same price 3 miles away from my scheduled pick up location and I am expected to pay for the 6 additional miles. This is not okay in my opinion. If uhaul changes it after giving a reservation the customer should not have to pay for the mileage. This is poor customer service. As for the people at this location of pick up. When I got back I had gassed up at a cheaper gas station and the guy was mad I didn't do it at his. The. He tells me it's not enough gas. So he has to charge me more. So I go and pay to put the gas in myself. He was rude. Barely spoke English. The location is a dirty dump of a gas station. And all he wanted to do was argue with me. They are crooks.
