When a customer receives a rental truck, they shouldn't jump in the seat and see the "check engine light" and the "service airbag" warning on the dashboard. Doesn't exactly start the experience with a feeling of safety and confidence!ERIC K.

Rude staff. Associate was on the phone the entire time handling my transaction attempting to get a refund from Amazon. He was loud and profane with the person on the phone. I. Between talking in the phone and arguing with Amazon, he was pointing and gesturing for me to complete things for my check in rather than giving his full attention. Associate also forced me to purchase insurance stating that he has had issues with stolen vehicles and wrecks which is not my problem. I explained that insurance is an option and I choose not to have it but he would not let me rent without it. I also explained that I have rented multiple vehicles from uhaul and have never had to purchase insurance because I have my own. After taking 30+ min checking in, I just took the vehicle anyway because I had someone waiting on me to help me move. Finally when I was getting ready to leave he yelled at me because he said I wasn't moving fast enough and he was ready to go home. He also continued to comment on my appearance and smell which made me uncomfortable. The truck was dirty inside, none of the dash accessories worked (lights, radio, clock etc.) and the back door wouldn't open, I had to load my items over the side of the truck.Ryann M.

The manager at my location was EXCELLENT! It's my overall experience with U-Haul that has ensured I will never do business with U-Haul ever again. This "mobile check-in" is badly broken in so many steps of the process. But I want it known the manager at my location was super helpful and did an outstanding job!Whitney C.

Don't overbook reservations. I got there at 4pm only to be told my truck wasn't even scheduled to be returned by the prior renter until 6 pm. I came back at 8pm to pick it up after hours only to be on hold with customer service for an hour, then hung up on. Once I finally came back a third time the next morning, I was able to rent the truck. This was unacceptable. I paid $50 to Uber to pick up the truck late at night, only to stand out in the dark for an hour trying to get the mobile pickup to work. Worst experience ever and will never be renting U-Haul again.Sarah B.

Rude staff. Would have driven further to deal with decent people. A few guys just sitting around cussing loudly. They acted like customers were a pain. They were even rude to the people in front of me.Anthony S.
The person there was very friendly but apparently didn't bother to check to see if the tires were holding air. Thankfully we don't trust anyone! We had a 10+ hour drive and stopped every 2 hours to stretch and check the tires. Had to put air in every stop. Also, according to the drop off they did not hook up our trailer correctly.William D.

The worst experience ever! The owner is so unprofessional and very disrespectful. Before I picked up the truck I confirmed with him the fuel level, which was below what he had told me. I took a picture of it and showed it to him. He then asked me to bring it back the same level. Upon my return I asked him to come take a look at it, but he refused saying that's fine and that he is going to send my receipt via my email. I took a look at my email later on only to see that he has charged me $8.08 for fuel. I called for clarification but he became aggressive and insulting telling me to contact customer service for my refund then he hanged-up on me. So unprofessional and a cheat! I would never recommend that location (i.e., PRECISION SERVICES CONTRACTOR, 2545 ALSTON AVE, DURHAM, NC 27713) and the phone number to the location is 919-680-0721.Akwasi N.

I had reserved a truck at a different location and 2 minutes before I arrived, they called and said it was rented to someone else (because they couldn't find the key to the only other vehicle on site). They reserved another truck for me at this location... which was 15 miles away! I get there and had to wait 10 minutes for the guy to show up and rent me the truck. He had no idea UHaiul had rented me the vehicle. I originally rented it for3 hrs. I lost 1 hour from driving to & waiting at the second location. Thus I returned it 30 minutes late (total rent time 2.5 hrs.) and was charged an additional $20. What a joke of a company. I will never rent or recommend UHaul to anyone ever again.Russell J.
