Need better communication
Jelunder CI was worried because the clerk didn't look at anything. Just took my info and said I was good to go. No receipt or anything. Turned out ok, but unsure at first.
Jerry DThe staff was friendly and helpful. The Truck was clean. I didn't feel safe driving the truck. The steering was super loose. I literally drove under ten miles round trip and returned the truck. I do not want to be harsh on the staff. They were great. I couldn't handle that truck. It felt dangerous.
JACOB VService was very very poor at this location. I was handed keys with no paperwork or inspection. The vehicle is down the street from this location and was not an easy find. Return the vehicle and again there was no inspection done. The cashier stated, "she didn't deal with the uhaul, so here are the keys".
Carl JThis is not the location that I reserved. I was assigned this location the day before. I had to walk down a deserted road to where the truck was parked. It did not have my utility dolly or the furniture padding blankets that I ordered.
STEVEN DHave more than one person able to start and return truck rentals. Have the truck be clean and not smell like death in back. Actually bring the truck up versus having someone walk down a back alley road to hunt for truck around semi trucks and a broken down limo. Especially when I had to use mileage I paid for to drive down the alley and figure out a place to turn around. Have equipment fully functional. It gets hot moving, the ac didn't not work
Crystal SProvide paper receipts to carry in truck.
DAVID HMy service woman was amazing!
David SThe young lady here had never done a U-Haul return before, but we were able to work our way through it with little trouble.
Kevin HNot rent out trucks the are scheduled to be out of service until after the problems are fixed.
Tiffany RThe Uhaul counter was inside a convenience store. The man was helpful and said to just park the truck on the street behind the store. The strangest part is that there is a big Uhaul rental place not even 1/4 mile up the road.
Kevin BAwesome customer service!
Alexandra LSite went down, caused an hour delay and caused us to be late. Then someone over charged. Gas usage was false. Have photo documentation. Charged for insurance when I have insurance to cover the truck and had taken it off the request. Will be contacting U-haul in regards to false charges and misuse of information. Also reporting to BBB
Willis LVery professional, great employees and equipment perfect. Gracias
Alva Whaving a truck in a busy convenience store is not ideal
JAMES CAfter we returned the equipment I got an email saying we never returned the equipment.... I still don’t have a confirmation saying everything is turned off.
kyle gGreatService
Paula GCashier was not trained for rentals, had to call Manager after she tried to turn us away. Appliance dolly was not available. When we returned, we had the most unprofessional, rude cashier, that refused to accept the return, refused to contact Manager, sent us across the street to a location that was closed and that we couldn't return. Went back because U-Haul CS rep told us we had to return to same location. She was even more rude than before, even with the U-Haul CS rep, who told her that she had to accept return. Why offer the service then not train your employees to issue it? This was awful!!!
Travis WKim had very good customer service skills. Very helpful and friendly.
VALERIE AThe customer service rep Taylor was amazing! She was very helpful even though we had to wait longer on our truck than she wanted to.
clarissa tThe uhaul company called me at the time I was going to pick up my reserved Uhaul to tell me they didn't have one available. It was confirmed guaranteed 4 days earlier. I was told that for any reason they didn't keep their promise I would get$50 back.I was put on hold with another representative for 50 minutes and she never returned to the phone before I hung up.In the meantime while I was holding we drove to the 2nd location then the 3rd.Finally at Pitstop they had the truck I needed except the previous customer had locked the keys inside the truck. We called another representative. He authorized for me to call a locksmith which cost me another $200 right away.I will be reimbursed in a few weeks. Long 4 hour confusion I finally got to rent the truck. They said I could only have it 2 days instead of the 8 days I had reserved for.Needless to say I used it for the 8 days and got my job completed with no help from The company itself. The truck was great and easy to drive. The company needs to train all representatives correctly at handling procedures. And have extra keys at location to be able to get into trucks.
Kelly HPeople here are very professional and efficient.
John KI ordered a dolly with the uhaul, but it was not provided.
Andrea SEquipment was clean but the warning light for a tire service was on
Ashwin PHad my debit card when I picked up the truck. When I brought it back I had to pay the whole amount again, but in cash. So I double paid. Never using u haul again.
Chastity CThe cab could have used a wet cloth wipe down, at least. Overall, though, the truck ran great and women at Pit Stop accommodated the changes that I needed to make to my reservation. Good experience!
Mary PThe workers at the pit stop did not know how to use the computers, the bed of the truck was dirty and we had to sweep it out ourselves, they overcharged us from the amount we were quoted when we reserved the truck, and the truck was unlocked when we got to it.
Andrew SGet rid of your mileage counting. Others have a flat rate for an allotted time. Especially this location. You HAVE to return this one to the same location, so most people want to rent it for local/hourly instead of one way or similar. Paying for the truck, the mileage AND the gas. That's a bit much, when there's others out there with HIGH competition. Please consider strongly.
MICHELLE HDid not have a dolly that I requested nor did they have any pads or blankets to cover and protect my furniture. Check out took a long time and neither of the people there seemed to know how to do a rental. They finally figured it out and handed me the key and receipt. I never signed anything
Julia TCustomer service was helpful, pleasant and quick.
FRANK HThe girls in the store especially the one that helped me check in and check out was so nice and helped me out so much. Great customer service!!
Stacy PThanks. Easy and fast!
linda sBest rental experience ever!!! Use these people!!
Curtis BThe costumer service I received at Pit Stop was absolutely deplorable. Serious lack of knowledge on procedure, no communication to customer. When I drop the truck today I wasn't even so much as greeted. Then when attempting to ask about the 56.03 charge from the day before and attempting to explain that the guy from pick up said it would be on the account as a pre paid, I was cut off numerous times. I told the lady to stop interrupting me please, she lost her temper and raised her voice. I had one question and just wanted an answer. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EVER TRUCK RENTAL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I would hope in the future UHaul picks better reps for their company. I am no longer a Uhaul costumer.
Kyle KTo whom it may concern, I used a U-Haul truck this Saturday morning (July 16th) in Peachtree City, Georgia. My experience with the vehicle was fine, but I experienced difficulty acquiring the truck. I had originally reserved a 10' truck online at the Peachtree Self Storage site. Upon getting there, I was informed that the truck I had reserved was not there, and that no other truck was available. The staff at the storage site called U-Haul personnel and my account was transferred to a U-Haul site at a Pit Stop. I drove to the first Pit Stop location listed on the U-Haul website, and there I was informed I needed to go to the other Pit Stop location in Peachtree City. When I got there, I was told that all trucks were rented out for the day. I insisted on the staff there calling U-Haul, and I was able to get a 10' truck for my needs. In all, this took about an hour. My reservation number is 20399763. Online I recall seeing a disclaimer that if a truck was not available when and where a reservation was made for, a $50 refund would be provided. As someone who has used U-Haul in the past and plans to continue using U-Haul in the future, I believe this situation calls for the refund to be provided. Please let me know what steps I need to take (if any), and I appreciate your help in resolving this. Sincerely, Matthew Mosgrove mosgrove.matt@gmail.com (770) 655-0235
Matthew MWhen I called the 1800 number for change of drop off location. One lady I spoke with on Saturday got rude with me and when I asked to speak with a manger, she said I was being rude, which I was not. Then she hung up on me. For this I will not use Uhaul again. I will not recommend Uhaul to anyone else either.
Matthew TEnsure that clients are provided with a receipt for proof of dropoff. Actually let the client know WHERE to drop off.
Christopher SI asked for 4 dozen furniture pads and they only had 1 dozen available.
Greg TYour staff was working with another customer when we arrived. We stood there 20 minutes right behind the other customer and she never acknowledged us. They chatted about buying a house and other small talk. Not very pleasant especially being tired from moving. In addition, we were charged another 10$ for extra miles. We had to drive 25 miles to pick up the truck then another 11 miles to drop it off. We drove directly with no side miles. It is not fair that you compute the mileage from your location and not where the property is located or being delivered.
Thomas MEverything worked out great! When I went to turn in the trailer to the original location, the manager of the Pit Stop didn't know how to check me out and had to find an employee who did. overall, the experience was seamless and easy! Very satisfied!
STEVEN RCalled several times to validate the truck was there and was told no by 2 different people. The pit stop can't have only one person working and help a Uhaul customer. The truck wax there but it till 6 calls to the pit stop and Uhaul over the coursed of 16 hrs to validate it was there.
JEFFREY HGreat 24 hour drop off. The person at the site was very helpful and cordial for after hours drop off.
HOMER KNeed better outside signage as to where to park trucks. Had to park at gas station and go inside to find out where to park truck. But everyone was nice and helpful.
CHARLES RI returned the cargo van five hours and forty six miles after I rented it. There was 3/4 tank of gas when I picked it up, and 3/4 tank when I dropped it off. I used approximately 3.5 gallons of fuel, which I replaced. When I went into the store, the computers were down, so I had to leave my paperwork. Couple days later, I get my card statement only to find out I was charged for 11.5 gallons of fuel at $48.88. The receipt was showing that the truck was returned on 1/4 tank. I called Uhaul, they said I needed to talk to the merchant, this Pit Stop. I called them, they said they are not authorized to refund money. I called corporate back, and they said I had to fill this review out, talk to a couple people, and wait a few days for a call back. I still don't have my money, and I am decidedly unhappy.
Alfred SMake sure trucks are available at correct time and are maintained better. Our pickup was 2 hrs late due to another customer not returning on time and a headlight was out.
AMBER KI was scheduled to drop off truck and was told that location didn't accept large trucks and I was at the wrong location. When I checked the internet, I was at the right location. After a while, the clerk decided to take the truck.
Dyandra KThe location I tried to return this vehicle too, first made me wait outside in 100 DEGREE heat for nearly 20 mins, to wait for her to come out to view the the truck. Secondly, she was rude and very hateful with her comments. And lastly, after driving @ 10 miles out of the way and waiting on her for it seemed 20 mins., she said, "Oh, I will not be able to take your truck, I cannot find it in my system." Which I was later told, that if she knew what she was doing, she could have input the information and accepted the truck. But instead I had to drive all the way back to within 1.5 of my apartment to deliver it somewhere else. Which almost caused me to be late with my return. PLEASE FIX this PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And cost me 5 dollars in gas during all this wasted time!!!!!!!!!
WALTER JWhen someone comes in and says they were told the mileage would be enough to cover point a to point b and to the return location and they should not owe any $ for mileage overage they should take the initiative to look in to it not tell you well if you don't pay it I cant get you a receipt.!!! They should have tried to call CS to see what could be done...
CATHY LThey acted like they couldn't take the auto transport trailer, but I don't blame them for that. UHaul.com needs to know if locations can't/won't accept certain equipment and warn the customer as they make their reservation.
ERIC TDrop Off - we were told that we could drop off at any location. We ended up making an additional stop and attempted to return the truck to a more convenient location. The first (on Hwy 54 near Piedmont Hospital) was closed, even though it was only 3:30 pm and the hours posted on your site said it was open until 6:00 on Saturday. We could not locate a 24-hour drop box. The second (Pit Stop at Petrol Point) refused to allow us to turn in there. This needs to be addressed. Either you can turn trucks in anywhere (as I was told), or you cannot. This SNAFU caused us to go over on your allotted mileage and more for fuel. Not that it was a lot of money in overage miles, but it was very frustrating.
Kim HVery helpful fast service!
Felicia PThe drop-off location was at a "Pitstop" location, and the person that helped me was completely distracted. She was completely disinterested in the transaction, did not come with me to witness that I had actually dropped off the trailer along the back street that she pointed to as a drop-off point, and did not inspect the trailer to see that I had not damaged it (I did not). None of the trailers were locked down, and all were parked along the side of the street - completely unsecured. Very uncomfortable situation.
Ray MTurned in a day early and got no money back. Had to drop the trailer by my self on a dead end road barely wide enough to turn my truck around in to get back out. Still ticked about not getting 1/3 of my money back for returning a day early. Will not use them again.
KERRY RQuick and easy
troy wtook along time to find the reservation to drop it off
