When I went to pick up the truck it wouldn't start so they jumped it and told me it would be fine. I got home and it wouldn't start again I had to call roadside assistance. The girl I talked to in roadside assistance, Heather, was excellent and found someone very quickly (early tire in Aberdeen WA.) to come put new battery in truck. Everything was great. Heather went above and beyond to make sure truck was fixed!!!

The truck ran and drove poorly. It would barely idle and would die when idling while making corners. The cab leaked water also. The app would not find my location and I had to call uhaul and didn't get checked out on time. I was 40 minutes late before I got to pull the truck out of the parking lot. It was the worst uhaul truck and experience I've ever had. The only good thing about it was the lady at thriftway was nice and helpful when returning the truck, but she was a thriftway employee who checks trucks in and out. not a uhaul employee.

Was given a broken trailer at first, then switched to a different trailer that wasn't what I ordered. Then upon returning the trailer an hour early. I asked for help to unload it off of my hitch. I couldn't get the lock to unlock off the hitch. I was denied help and told to call sheriff for help. This was horrible service and after the initial renting of the trailer nightmare, I will never use this service again.

You still have the opportunity to improve the service with THIS customer. The return site stated that they had credited my account for the absence of blankets and the miles. To date, I have not seen any of these changes. All this has resulted in the experience of being “nickeled and dined” through out the experience. That U-Haul outlets are being allowed to take advantage of movers under the stress and time constraints of moving, in my case, by not following through on their commitments. Stop allowing rentals from the east county rentals locations in Elma Wa!! Long story but I was owed the $50 guarantee for registration that was cancelled by the Elma location, your online customer service line knew nothing about the advertisement on your website for the booking guarantee and this is unacceptable. Do not promote and guarantee something and then fail to provide it or even train your customer service agents about the issue. We got screwed out of a reservation and then your agents knew nothing about it online. Fortunately your Montesano agent was able to provide with a truck at a later date and was very pleasant and helpful! You need to shut down the Elma office location!!!!!

The computer process is difficult to go through. I thought I had completed my reservation and printed it and it seemed to come out different from previous times., I got to the store to pick up the trailer and they had no record f my reservation and had to start over from scratch, Your process is cumbersome. At least I no longer have to call and take pictures of my driver's license and send the picture to you.

Caroline was the Best I've been a Uhaul dealer for handful of yrs. two dealerships By far she is the most friendly & cooperative. Person I've deal with at this location Dealt with another two women Other was friendly but one seemed to be not so Just my honest feelings based on my experiences here with a handful of rentals. I know the little "box" trailers aren't really supposed to be waterproof. -- (there is a small sticker inside the unit that says it isn't "waterproof", only "water resistant"). However, this trailer leaks BADLY- likely around the door. Our boxes were soaked when we got home. None of the items inside the boxes was ruined- when we got home we removed all the stuff from the soaked boxes. All turned out, OK, though- no damage. Just a lot of panic. We will use U-haul again- but carefully inspect the unit before we take it..... Thanks, be safe.. M/K Johnson

The location is in a food market and the vehicles are behind the store. On a rainy day, it would be an inconvenient experience. My biggest issue is I reserved the vehicle for pick up at a town 18 miles closer to my home but the day before I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle, I received a text stating my pick up location had been move 18 miles further from my home. I was given 40 uncharged miles but, the additional driving was not appreciated.

So the girl at desk was fine and did a good job but the guy who hooked up the trailer seemed like he didn't know what he was doing he put the trailer on hitch and turned the knob 2 turns and said that should be good. I tow alot so knew it wasn't tight i turned it another 8 to 10 turns it could have been bad for someone that didn't know about this stuff. The tow dolly its self was fine and worked flawless

I had a horrible experience with uhaul yesterday. I guess the computer system was down but the truck was showing 2000 +miles higher and it wouldn't let me change it and the lady at the counter tried to help but wasn't able to do much due to your system.. then when I returned the truck I was charged $30 service charge and like $17 for gas.. it looked the same to me.. I only drive it 16 or 17 miles so it couldn't have gone down 4 gallons.. so I will not be using uhaul anytime soon.. due to this bad experience. Hopefully it will be better soon!!

Something was wrong with the fuel line on my first truck. Didn't even make it out of the town i rented in. Told i needed to wait for road side assistance. Was given a 3 hour wait. I ended up having to transfer all my stuff my self from one truck to another after complaining several times i was going to lose my movers. Which i still lost my movers and ended up hurting my bad knee and back moving my stuff myself. It's been almost a month and I'm just hearing back from the manger about compensation for all my inconvenience and this is after he said he would call me back the next Monday or Tuesday. I even left hima message and didn't hear back until i text him again over a week after calling and leaving a message.

It was into the evening, the drop off / pick up area for uhaul, it's across the street with no signage (Nor a drop off nearby). So I went into the main building and asked. didn't have anyone who seemed to know how to process / handle the interaction, so they took my info and ... sent it off for the next crew. The lady who helped us was very nice, just didn't feel like that's how it was supposed to go? Took our paperwork given to us from the pickup location, which was strange. But I got the email and confirmation later the next day. All in all, only the ending was a little off, but it was good overall. Have a drop box near the park location if possible for these.

The woman at the service desk where I had to pick up the keys had no clue how to do the self service uhaul program and was extremely rude to me about it. She said she hasn't been trained on how to do it and has never used it before. I told her I haven't either and I'm just doing what the website is telling me to do. She was very rude through the process. I feel like everyone should be trained on a new program so things like this do not happen.

It too around an hour to pick up my truck. The two ladies did not know how to operate your new computer system.The new computer system was new and nobody updated them on how to use it. I had people waiting at my site to help me load. The truck did not have a full tank of fuel, WHY? I am 83 years old and handicapped, to get to the truck I had to walk around the store down a hill and find my truck in the rain. Very disappointed at the service at this location.

This whole experience was a joke. We ordered a 26 foot truck 2 weeks in advance at the Hoquiam Swansons location. Uhaul sends us to the Aberdeen Shell location where they didn't have the 26 foot truck we ordered or anyone that could rent out the 20 foot truck they had or speak English. We had to then call customer service and they got us a 20 foot truck 10 miles in the opposite direction we were going. We had a crew of 4 people being paid for standing around for 3 hours while Uhaul got us another truck that was to small. We then had to make 2 trips because the small truck didn't fit everything we were moving which cost my company about $150 in extra mileage I wasn't going to have to drive with a 26 foot truck. Plus the extra $580 in labor for standing around and 2 trips instead of one trip with the right truck. We then finished the job at midnight instead of 5 pm. Then we didn't get the truck back before they closed so I had to get up at 7am Easter morning and drive from Puyallup back to Montesano to return the keys and close out the rental.The only sunny point of the whole day was the gal Caroline at the Thriftway where we finally got a truck. She was positive and helped us in a speedy fashion. I will never advise anyone to use Uhaul ever again. It was a disappointment from start to finish and turned an easy money making job into a train wreck and a loss for my company. The whole experience was a joke and you could have not made it worse if you tried. I guess that's what you get with Uhaul minimum wage workers with no experience scheduling what so ever. The price that I confirmed with the online website and the price I actually paid in the store were very different. Not to mention that it was a complete outrage that I had to pay $70 to go a total of 5 miles. I used a quarter of a quarter of a tank and like I said went to a total of 5 miles and had to paint outrageous amount. I will never use U-Haul again I cannot believe the cost completely unacceptable and outrageous. I'm very disappointed.

I was pulled over while using the trailer. Apparently the tail lights did not work. The brake and signal lights worked, but the the regular tail lights did not. Getting pulled over set my trip back almost an hour! Rediculous!

Well One thing is to tell the customer service person to just do one thing at a time to help one person at a time instead of managing others as well! Also they should be knowledgeable about trailer, hook up, wiring actually help out... like guide the person back to the trailer I had to do it all by myself it was just me and my 3 year old son it was poring rain

The truck was not ready to be picked up-parked behind other U-Haul vehicles. The gas situation seems 'up in the air'. Level of gas in tank did not correlate with the mark on the contract. Contract mark said between 7/8 and full. Level in truck said just below 3/4. Nobody in charge was aware of this or aware of the condition of the truck (wasn't swept out in the back or the cab)-sloppily run operation.

This is a tough one - Thriftway is the only U-Haul agent in town. The day we returned the truck - the two employees who normally handle rental returns were out sick. Our return was handled by an inexperienced employee who was unable to complete the transaction online. After working with the employee for a half hour, we left with the transaction incomplete. I understand that sometimes there are unavoidable shorthanded situations and the employee did her best, but if there were a next time, I would select a more experienced agent even if it meant driving to another town.
