I specifically asked the guy at the counter not to charge my credit card as I pay everything on line as I had done every time in the past. He tells me he has to and then proceeds to put the same transaction thought 5 times. Now I have no funds left on my card and trying to deal with Uhaul to fix. Equipment was maintained, but not clean. Pick up of vehicle - the vehicle was 1.5 hours from where we live, making pick up inconvenience and an additional expense. As we were driving to pick up the vehicle, I call Uhaul, spoke to a lovely representative that told me that our bill was paid in full as I had paid on-line. Upon arrival, we were told we owed another $900+. The clerk at the gas station could not tell us why. We had to call Uhaul service line again to get clarity - another 25 minutes wait. Upon reaching a representative, they could not clearly explain why - the amount represents HST...which I completely understand as the location would have to claim the sale. It is very unfortunate that your team could not explain that. This type of communication creates doubt and uneasiness in the client. The 2-wheel dolley we rented was so bent it was not usable. We had also ordered a furniture cart, which the location did not have. Overall the customer experience part of the our experience was terrible. The vehicle we rented, worked well and we arrived safely.Lenard K.
The person working the counter made us wait so long because he kept stopping helping us to help his other customers for gas or whatever they were buying. Finish what you're doing before leaving us to wait even longer, we have a limited time with the vehicle and have to wait for him again and again because he kept wasting time leaving our transaction.ADAM W.

Drop off site was a gas station. 1 employee covering the entire site. I had no idea where to park. Site was not expecting my drop off. I thought the express check in was enough, Boy was I wrong! First you have the most convoluted way of hooking up a trailer. The staff in tillsonburg accused me of stealing a trailer because I didn't come inside to sign.(what's the point of the express check in) then he changes the drop location to a place 30km away from the original point I picked. The website doesn't allow you to change the drop location, so i called customer service to find out its an hour hold time. All of this for a damn trailer.Kristopher B.

There was an error and I was overcharged for mileage. The owner confused the initial mileage of my truck with another truck which made my mileage much more than it actually was. I was also yelled at for prepaying for $10 in gas which put the gas needle past where it was when I received the truck. I was then told I need to gas the truck up until the gas pump clicks off and I could only put gas in at the owners gas station. Absolutely poor customer service. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service. I was left in the parking lot waiting for my reservation because the location owner was doing yoga in the office. When I requested a walk around inspection of the truck at arrival, the location owner refused because the grass next to the truck was too wet and she did not want to walk in the grass.JOSHUADAVID B.

For moving day a uhaul confirmation email stating â€œguaranteed 3:30pm pick up location 80klm. from preferred and there be no truck available at all after waiting 2hrs and suggested to drive another hour away for possible pick(2hrs from home) is ridiculous!! Simply following instructions online from the beginning my 1st experience I spoke to reps in Michigan, Kansas, Hamilton, and that day my friend found truck was always avail. 30 min. from home. I got home after dark on â€œmoving dayâ€â€¦â€¦NICE !? A person needs to be able to expect the truck and what it will costâ€¦period!LAWRENCEA T.

Don't ever use your debit card when paying for your rental I just had almost 600 removed from my account with them using my debit it seems that as soon as you insert your card it keeps all your info and to top it off someone there forged my signature on the contract as I guess they realized we hadn't signed anything. Have the equipment on site. Not send your customers down the road looking for it. Don't call your customers 2 days before pick up and tell them they have to drive an extra hour to get their equipment. Last time I use this company. Cost me time and money extra because a month notice is by good enough for uhaul to have your rental where it should be. I'll pay for a mover next time rather than take the chance my whole day is getting screwed by the rental companyDaryl P.

The website is absolutely horrible. I booked online for 24 hours but recieved a phone call the next day and was told I couldn't have it for that amount of time. I was offered a smaller truck (which would not be enough) and given a different pick up location. People should not be able to click the options on your site if they are not available. I have friends and family members that have had the same issues.LAURA T.

Confirmation email was a bit confusing. I ordered a 20 ft truck. The confirmation said that one wasn't available at the location I physically went to and was told that i had reserved. I called uhaul to see what was going on. I was told the truck was taken so booked another 20 ft in another city. A day or so before moving day I was contacted by uhaul because I had two trucks booked. The gentleman was very helpful and straighten things out.JAMESR C.
