I was charged for dolly's and I received none. The store was closed and I could no inquire and then upon checking out the truck online I stated there were no dolly's and provided a picture and was still charged. I wanted the next larger truck and U-Haul told me I couldn't get one at Pearl's but when picking up my truck there was the truck size I wanted there all weekend. Pearl's is great, but U-Haul blew it and overcharged me

First off - when I checked in, the guy didn't speak a word to me. He just sort of would gesture he needed an ID and blasted his phone call or whatever he was doing the entire time. The transmission needs to have a look. Big time. It seemed as if it struggled to downshift. Anytime I would slow down, or especially let off the gas downhill, the RPM would jump up randomly to 4000-5000 (almost red line) for an extended amount of time and sucked up more gas than had liked to pay for. I was charged a cleaning fee despite sweeping the truck out thoroughly before we brought it back. We had it less than 3 hours- we did not make a mess at all. I'd like that refunded if possible.

I had no real issues with the location except that the location where I actually reserved the truck was about 15 miles closer to my move - this cost me about 25-30 miles of mileage charge and more fuel. The equipment was nice and no other issues.

When renting a trailer, help the customer connect it. There is not a jack on a 6x12'. Check out the surge brakes on trailers. Worked fine on light braking, but heavy braking would cause trailer brakes to surge hard and release multiple times before stop.

I had to do everything by myself. Cashier barely helped with anything. Unwanted charges on the receipt. No mileage and gas label was checked either so I'm sure they screwed me over that too.

Ridiculous drop off- the food mart employee just wanted us to drop the keys off and leave the truck with no review and no gasoline/mileage check. He said the receipt would be emailed. We were not willing to risk that so I had to get online and chat with an agent. She suggested that we have the employee check out our rental. I advised her that I felt it was their responsibility to advise their contractor to do his job. Finally got him to check it out and we got our receipt. Never rent from them again

The gentleman who called me to ask why I had not yet picked up my rental was not polite and hung up on me before I could even relay to him that the email had not said I was allowed to pick it up before the scheduled time. He was not polite at the pick up either. He only spoke to me to ask what I needed and to ask for my ID. If he is the only one who is working the rentals, I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Location didn't have small dolly or furniture pads that were ordered ahead of time. I was charged a gas surcharge even though I filled up the truck to the same level from pick up to drop off

Well when I arrived it was 505 pm by my watch.the store was totally closed and there for it took us over one hr to get. It checked in as matter of fact it took over 1hr- and 30 minutes just trying to reach someone. Also I was told 40 dollars for all dat use and then my bank statement is. Showing like 129/139 I don't understand cause I didn't under stand the extra chafe except 39 cents a mile and it was little over 84 miles round trip. So pleases explain. But now as far as both ladies I did actually get to talk to they were very nice an polite and help one as Much as they could they talked clearly to me and helped me get all questioned answered and also contacted Mt to 24/7 services and then it turned into a mess trying to watch the Vedic and do what it tells you also but if you will give me pictures and and gas gauges a chance and a number I will send. The mileage in a text it never. Let. Me do it last night at all. Please and thank you for your time

I rented a 20 foot uhaul for two days, I explained where I was moving from and to and how long I would need the uhaul. With that being said I should've been told ahead of time on how much I would be charged. However 28 days later I get billed for $484.00 because I went over the mileage even though I explained how far I was moving and how long I would need the uhaul. I am very disappointed and I feel as if I had been basically scammed and severely ripped off. I was not clearly told how much more it would cost. Clarity is horrible!!!

HORRIBLE experience overall. Never intend to use U-haul again. I ordered a 26' truck, on Wednesday, and the day before I was scheduled to pick it up, Saturday, someone called to tell me there wasn't a 26' truck at that location, only a 20' truck. The lady on the phone was VERY rude and displayed horrible customer service. Then on my pick up day, my pick up time was 4pm, I received a phone call that I would have to pick the truck up by 12pm because no one would be there to give me a key. Keep in mind "Pearl's" is a gas station that is open well past noon. When I picked the truck up no inspection was complete. I didn't sign anything, I was just jaded a key and had to try each door of the trucks in the back until I found the correct one. Then, I received emails with places I was supposed to sign where there was just "X" where my signature was supposed to be. While using the truck it started to rain and the passenger windshield wiper was broken, so I could literally only see out of one side of the window. Lucky it was the driver side. Upon returning the truck, I put 6 gallons of gas in it, which brought it back to where the tank was at. Still, I was charged another 4 gallons…meaning, according to the mileage reported on the invoice, that truck only gets 6.7 miles to the gallon. That truck averages 10. Again, upon return, no inspection was completed. I was just told to park it in the back. Horrible, horrible experience. I will never use U-Haul ever again.

I was supposed to pick it up at a Sam store off when I got there I was told I was supposed to get it somewhere else that was unacceptable . Then when we was loading my items the door would not close had to call for roadside service that was a major inconvenience . It made my moving experience a nightmare

This was not my first choice of pick up location. It is a grungy little food mart. Not inviting at all. Will cancel my truck next time if I have to go there. Gave us no paperwork showing starting mileage or anything.

The rental guy called four hours early and told me I needed to pick up the truck RIGHT NOW. I told him I wasn't scheduled until 1pm. He said no. Now. I finally was able to pick up the truck around 1 and he seemed very annoyed. Handed me a key and said it's around back.

The inside of the truck was clean, the outside was filthy. I got no walk around, no inspection other than what I did myself. I could barely understand the guy behind the counter at the gas station. Are there any locations in Bsrdstown KY, that are U-Haul rentals first, and not gas stations first with the U-haul functions as an afterthought?

Pickup was a mess the man at the counter was super rude. He told me they closed Uhaul remtals at 5. After inisting I had a pick up at 6 he finally got on the phone and I was given the key. Drop off was easy and a different guy working the counter was super friendly.

Originally I was supposed to pick up the truck on Thursday at the Preston highway location. When I got there they had no 15-foot truck for one way and told me my reservation was not until Friday. I had workers to help move stuff into the truck that day. On Friday the truck was not to be picked up in Preston highway area but instead in Mount Washington. Since I was already a day behind schedule I called the Mount Washington area manager to ask him to call me when the truck got there. He told me it was not there yet and this was after 12:00. I then called the U-Haul office and they checked and said the truck is there and put me on a three-way call to Mount Washington. Now he said the truck was there. We go to get the truck and he doesn't even give me a contract told me everything was email. Also there was supposed to be a dolly in the truck and there was not. He told me he doesn't have any dollies. My drop-off location was originally millville Delaware which is about 8 miles away. U-Haul changed the drop off location which was 20 miles away and there was no one there. We put the key to the truck in a lock box after locking up the truck. I was not happy with this U-Haul move at all. The truck itself was fine though.

Online my only option was a 2 day rental. I took the truck back a day early and with over 20 miles less than allowed but was charged full price. I will tell everyone I know not to use uhaul

It needs to be more clear that this is a U-Haul rental facility. I was confused and uncertain about whether this place was legitimate because it was just a random gas station. The personnel was not helpful, and at first refused to help walk me through how to use the equipment. I was told by U-Haul customer service that when I arrived for the rental, someone would help me learn about how to use the trailer and attach my car, because I was nervous and had never done it before. When I asked the man at this rental place, he told me to watch "a video on YouTube" and only helped me after I was clearly distressed about the process. I was also charged an additional $270 by this man, which I am disputing with U-Haul because I did not authorize this charge and it is listed nowhere on my contract.

This was not a fault of Perals, but my original location was elsewhere. When they didn't have the equipment I ordered Uhaul did not contact me to change my pick location. It was by chance when I stopped at a random location that i found my new pick up spot which was Perals.

The seats were damp and there was water standing in the cup holders. The rubber flooring under the pedals was also pulled loose and bunched up under the brake pedal, making a VERY un-safe condition. The staff was not very friendly, and communicated very poorly. If I had not just recently rented from another location, I would have had NO idea about my responsibilities and the requirements i needed to meet before I returned the unit. If I was not in a predicament, I would have never followed through with my rental, I would have gone to another U-Haul location.

I booked to return in Taylorsville, but when I was ready to return they told me I had to go to a different county to return because nobody in Taylorsville was taking returns. That's not what I booked and was a significant inconvenience.

U-haul representative was rude, not informative. He did not ask me if I replaced the gas in the truck. My fiance had to ask, after we started to leave. Then he over charged me by 100.00 per my original quote. I was not given any paperwork when I check out, and left the gas station. I had to call back to the main branch after viewing my bank statement. Regional office, was polite and helpful. Especially Robert. I will not rent a u-haul truck from Mt. Washington "Pearls" again. Not worth it.

Have them go somewhere else. Upon return they need to checkin the UHaul in a timely manner. Workers did not checkin the Uhaul in 24 hours after we dropped it off. Was told my workers yesterday that we would have an email in the morning. We had to call Uhaul and they called Pearls to find out what was going on. Will not use this place again!

The location is a gas station/store. His UHaul business was an after-thought. He couldn't find my order, and had me get on his laptop and look for it using my reference number while he continued to check out patrons of his gas station. The truck had transmission problems, and was difficult to drive. The inside cab was dirty and had something spilled in the cup holders.
