Person at the call center reserved the wrong size truck (too big) the guy at the location offered to change it but I was pressed for time so I just took the bigger truck. The staff at this location was awesome

Robert did a great job with all aspects of van rental. He helped me resolve an early mistake that I made, and then rented me a cargo van that was probably in the best condition I have ever seen in my history of uhaul rentals.

The truck cab wasn't very clean when I picked it up and the Uhaul system let me check out the vehicle until 6pm using the online check out system that means the location doesn't have to be open. However, when I returned with the truck the entrance to the Northgate Storage Center was gated and padlocked behind a barbed-wire gate. That meant I had to call customer service and get the reservation extended, park the truck overnight and drive extra miles back to my home before waking up early to drive back and return it in the morning. I'm very disappointed in the location and customer service I received.

Wash the windows and remove debris from under wipers, was a hazard to use wipers. Never recieved my mattress bag after reminding associate twice. Check in took almost an hour, incredibly slow.

This was my first and last time using Uhaul. I was charged for the use of the vehicle, and per mile that I drove. I put in a quarter tank of gas in the city I was picking up my things because gas is significantly cheaper there: so I guesstimated. I am a single parent so every dollar counts for me. It ended up costing me $25 bucks for the gas. That quarter tank was not used and remained on full when I returned the vehicle. I returned and asked if the cost for the gas could be offset and I was told no. It’s in policy. Here are my issues with this 1. Uhaul charges me for every mile and use of the truck and charges if you don’t put in enough gas but will take a customers money if you put in too much gas. 2. The next customer that rents the truck will be told to bring it back at full. Gas that Uhaul didn’t pay for. So if that customer doesn’t do that, they will be charged a fee. So there could be a double profit for Uhaul at my expense and the next customer. 3. The employee went over everything that was in the contract that he had me sign, including to put the gas back to its level but he NEVER said we don’t reimburse or offset fuel costs if you put too much. Interesting that he went over everything else. 4. I call 1-809 to Uhaul and I’m told that the manager won’t be in the office until the 17th. And to call back then. This is a nationwide company and I call on a Sunday to be told that there is only one manager I can speak to about this all the way four days later? All in all-you’re business model is designed to rip off customers and profit off of them for use of your products and use of anything extra that they give you. This was my first time using your service and I didn’t see disclaimers even on your website about refueling or that clause. First time customers aren’t going to know everything or read every line. I completely felt ripped off.

I have been using Uhaul for years and I was beyond impressed with the gentlemen who helped us! I did not catch his name but he was genuinely nice, helpful, and really acted like he cared about us. While we were there, he was busy with many people and he wasn't rude. He kept his cool and was truly helpful and communicated with me but the others that waited. I would return just because of him! Thank you for having him there and he should definitely get a raise or be proud of himself for what he's achieved.

Central north location is convenient. Arco right across the street. The location is a bit of a maze to get out but the manager was kind enough to drive it out for us. One criticism, though. The north office door knob has an extremely sharp burr ( or something) on it; I sliced my index finger opening the door. This isn't great for someone who is a massage therapist!

Everything was great, can't think of any improvements. I've rented from u-haul in the past, and obviously was satisfied enough with the service to remain a customer. The service your northgate self storage location provided was extraordinary! The managers comunication was not only clear and percise, but he also made me feel as though my business was truly appreciated and making sure that I was receiving the exact service that I required with informing me of all my different options, and advising me on what was in my best interest for my move. That is very rare these days, so I feel he should receive recognition for his customer service skills.

I was told that i could pick up my Haul 24/7 with my mobile device online. When I went, the app told me that I had to wait until 8:30 am to pickup my 24/7 pickup. This is obviously quite stupid. Luckily, the location was actually open still and the guy behind the counter was very helpful. But Uhaul needs to change their website to not say that this location is "24/7" because it's not. The guy who helped me there said he has asked Uhaul corporate to fix this and they have not.

i think insurance rate offered is way too high. it is almost as much as daily rental rate. if the daily insurance rate was like 8 dollars per day, i would have taken it.

The problem with this location is they don't have an after-hours drop box for the truck key. I picked up my truck at 4 pm on a Sunday and planned to return it before 8 pm. When I arrived for pick-up I was told I couldn't bring it back until the next morning at 9 am. If I had advance notice about this situation I would have been a lot happier. I had to miss some work in order to unexpectedly return the truck the next morning.

This was my second rental in the same week. My first experience was also not good. The equipment was fine. I returned the vehicle early and full of gas. The clerk on hand told me I would receive an invoice via email the same day. At 7:30pm that same evening I received a phone call from someone who had clearly been drinking asking me where the van was and why I had not returned it and that "we could work something out". This is not only outrageous, but also incredibly insulting and unprofessional. I am not sure how or why this happened, but I assure you that it has led me to believe that U-Haul has some serious work to do in the customer service arena. Disappointing, stressful and disrespectful. I did receive a "follow up" email from a representative named John Benfield that was apologetic.....too little, too late. Tracey MacRae

I was degraded and spoken to in a disrespectful manner, and in a completely unprofessional way. I asked to have my bill credited because of the horrible experience in relation to my treatment. I've got a full recording of how I was treated by the representative which clearly demonstrates his insinuation that if I possess the proper degree of intelligence, I would have clearly understood his instructions and explanations. Please credit my account fully, otherwise you will leave me no choice but to expose the discriminatory practices I had to endure by a representative of your company.

This rule about having to call someone to confirm you're a real person is weird. What if no one answered their phone because it's a random number calling unexpectedly? Then I don't get to move and I lose the money I spent on movers as well? I understand not wanting your trucks stolen, but it just could have such a terrible outcome for someone already under a ton of as stress because they're moving.
